  1. Nobody said you lost your rights to anything, or that you are not entitled to them. Are you assuming that just because your last few posts didn't receive well with people, that we want your rights taken away, or that you don't have them? :uneasy: I don't even understand what is the point of this novel that is unfolding. I know that my opinion is worth just the same as yours, but I made my point a while ago. People have opinions. Small, understated opinions, loud and arrogant opinions. It's one of the best things that the world has to offer. But this situation that you made a thread about, Fix42YellowClocks, are the opinions of some people you don't know, who will never have any sort of impact on your life, and you will not even vaguely remember them 10-20 years down the line. Why are you so angry and concerned about opinions that are different from yours? Basically here's a post I made a little while ago about someone who seemed quite paranoid about what people think, it's a bit weird out of context but I hope you can understand the point I am trying to get across: Before you say it, yes it's fine to have a nice intellectual debate about something on a forum, but this, ohh man. You've turned a very simple question about why people take the piss about Coldplay's newest album into a 2000-word saga of human rights philosophies, politics ideals, and incomprehensible words, barely relevant to Coldplay and only there so you can place yourself at a higher level than everyone else. Read this again. Do you really think that this doesn't sound like madness when you're just asking a simple question about why some 13-year-old children on a fan forum are joking around about how bad an album is? I had a bit of a hard time reading your post. It's not because I'm stupid or ignorant, but you can feel free to believe that if it makes you feel better. But seriously, if you are such an ace writer you should know your audience. You are on a messageboard, so you may speak the same type of English that you use when you're talking to someone, because that's what we're doing. You are not writing a medical school paper. Feel free to make a thread where people discuss abstract and fiercely debated things and all that, but do you not see how unnecessarily complex these posts are, for this situation? And it's not cause 'I don't pay attention in my high school English class', thanks very much, that's almost as condescending as a few of the other replies you've gotten in this thread. It's really offensive to me. I'm not stupid. You don't know the kind of person I aim to be and am, in the real world. You don't know Reilly. You don't know it of other people, either. You were just acting like a bit of a smart-ass there. Please don't play the victim card. Treat people with respect and they'll treat you with respect. They might strongly disagree with you, because we all have minds of our own, but they will respect you as a person and not use personal attacks. At least a vast majority of people will. But the way you come in here and write, in a superior manner to everyone else, trying to alienate people with these unecessarily big words and your bolded Latin terms from an intro philosophy class, then using the excuse that 'we should've paid attention in high school English class' if we don't understand. Of course people will be irritated, no matter what the argument is. "Has the vitriol subsided" indeed. You sorta deserved that disrespect you got. Learn to be a more diplomatic and modest speaker and stop writing in an 'intellectual' way, and less tension will form. But don't you dare come here and act like you're a victim or you're a savior of morals and free-thought after you pull this character off, more immature than anything I could've written, and I'm fifteen years old. I did stoop to your level by making a similar massive text post, but it will be my last post in this thread. I just wanted to say what I needed to say so everyone can shut up now and we don't have to do the back-and-forth reply game anymore. Have a wonderful life.
  2. I joined after I heard Viva La Vida on the radio on Valentine's Day 2009 (ha, I still remember the day) and I started to lurk this place and get obsessed with the band from there. I guess I remember that day because that's when I began to fall in love with music. (Cue 'awww's)
  3. I say you're not a 'veteran' unless you joined before the Viva era I refuse to believe that I am a veteran on here, there are people who've spent almost 10 years of their life on this forum, wow
  4. hist0ry is 4 lozers
  5. No, go back to older pages, the numbers and post counts don't match up someone at one point decided to add 60 numbers in one post  you can't do that it's count to a million not 'let's post a million times in this thread'
  6. yes we will come -- Coldplay
  7. Woah never seen these before, how cool :wacky: Those candies in the middle though... I've eaten them before. They're awful. Psycho killer qu'est-ce que c'est fafafafafafafafafa far better Just the eggs Hmm a bit tough, that one Viva
  8. Wait so there was an explosion inside of the store, and the staff decided to force everyone to stay in instead of letting them drive home to safety, none of the staff makes a single effort to use a cellphone or a neighbor's phone to call 911, then a car crashes into the side of the store The old man decided to do absolutely nothing about the fact that his new friend was possibly hurt or killed until minutes later, when the store is already locked, then thinks 'Hmm instead of calling the police, let me jam my car in the store, lose my primary mode of transportation, possibly die or kill others in the store, but either way I'll still end up in jail or pay a huge fine and pay for a new car, mmm good idea' By correcting me, the story now makes even less sense, thanks Reilly.
  9. Had a test in history class today, this genuinely helped me remember who John Locke was. Thanks
  10. not to mention the random old man from earlier a) dropped Rezzy off and left (and somehow magically found out that the store had its lights off and decided to crash into it) b) waited for Rezzy because he was gonna drive him home (and watched the lights go off and the doors lock, and did fuck all about it until now) so he crashed his entire fucking car into the store, wrecking it and risking the life of himself and others, instead of doing something sensible like calling the police or even using a weapon to break a door or window instead there's no point in doing this lol, you can pick out the plot holes all day. The story is still entertaining in an ironic sort of way.
  11. Ferrero ^ ^^ These are banned in America, by the way, due to a law that forbids inedible items inside of food. It's such a bitch to find them  and of course ~*~*~*~~*~*~*~ though it's not my favorite spreadable chocolate ... a lot of people love it, so  man I love food
  12. OP you could've gotten to the point in 1 paragraph, 2 at the most. It took me so many reads to even comprehend that and when I did, I realized it didn't have much meaning at all. Hahahahaha!!
  13. I know, I just re-read that thread hahahah -Uhhh white bread, or a baguette (whole wheat bread tastes like sawdust ) -Lettuce -Smoked sausage -Tomato -Provolone cheese -'Canadian bacon' (ham) or mortadella -Another piece of bread Condiments don't belong on a sandwich. Daily :whatever: Looked up the most recent setlist for this I'm gonna go with Major Minus because I genuinely forgot what that song sounds like so I guess it sucks ♪ Just somebody that you used to know ♪ I quite like that for an album title It's a bit dumb to name six albums in a row after a song in it, isn't it

Very bottom of the screen, left-hand corner, you can change the theme from there. Hi Doctor :dazzled:

:disappointed: We'll put in a dollar each for this and the MSN shitstorm yesterday.
  16. It's sort of a running joke to make fun of MX in this community, the way I see it. Nothing more than that. I do personally think that it's Coldplay's worst effort, but that doesn't mean that it's awful. It's still a nice album. It would just make a handful of people laugh if I made some joke about it being awful. I still supported them cos they're special to me and I thought it was an alright album. Saw the show, bought the (overpriced) T-shirt. I definitely see what you're coming from. But perhaps don't take other people's opinions so much to heart ? The majority of bands I listen to, my favorite album turns out to be the one everyone hates, for some reason, and I don't really care.

    Hi Jamie :dazzled:
  20. First got this as a Christmas present, and first listened to it sometime in January, ha. I guess I'm not a good fan. It was nice. Not amazing, unfortunately, but it had its moments of magic when I saw them on this tour and there was a whole stadium of people singing the songs by heart. It makes it a much more meaningful album. I might give it a listen tomorrow.
  21. Coldplay replied to iccp's topic in The Lounge
Reading back on the thread, I got it right, and I wasn't cheating at all. Kinda weird that you assume that anyone who just has a set of characters kept in their memory is a blalant liar :uhoh:
  22. Coldplay replied to iccp's topic in The Lounge
I swear you've dedicated a whole thread to this once
  23. I feel that it's quite the contrary, it's boring when you know the person well and you can already very well establish a conversation without all this 'the weather is lovely' garbage. It's a bit exciting to do small talk with a new person cos you're getting to know a new person and possibly making a new friend
  24. Proof that the average person's IQ has dropped 60 points since the release of Mylo Xyloto I love cheesecake. That sugary kind that doesn't taste like cheese at all that you get from the store is great. But my mom makes one that's made out of cottage cheese that's only a little bit sweet and you can put some blueberries in it or something and it tastes wonderful.
