  3. Alright, today's the day I plan to finish working on it and it'll depart. I really planned for it to be out by Saturday but I was so sick I could barely breathe properly (well, I still have an crappy cough but at least I'm not sick anymore) and I didn't want the pages to be covered in germ-infested mucus (and also I put off working on it for a bit :disappointed: clearly) so there you are
  4. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzHIxigdlgQ]Take That - Everything Changes - YouTube[/ame] :awesome:
  5. You can literally feel the awkward when you reread the first pages of this thread haha
  6. Ooh, yeah, that's no fair. Send a PM, quick! :escaping:
  7. :dazzled: :dazzled: :dazzled: Are you gonna put up a download link, Mrk?
  8. Haha! A lot of people think it's an extension of the second LP and meh I don't really see that. I believe it would've went better as an EP because that whole ~*~*ooOoOO outer space-y symphonic~*~* thing they had going on would've remained better with like 6 or 7 songs instead of 13, it just starts to blur into the same thing after a while, but the songs themselves are great, come on Talk, X&Y, and Twisted Logic are more dynamic and interesting than Green Eyes, Warning Sign, Daylight, etc., any band can write that. It doesn't mean they aren't great songs, in fact Warning Sign is my favorite and I love it sooo much, but any ""post-Britpop"" or alternative rock band can write it or something very similar to it. A Rush of Blood (I'm using it as an example because it's everyone's favorite) is a typical NME-approved sort of album, like I like Oasis but I don't think they're a godly band, don't get why everyone else think so, they just happen to fall under that one narrow little window of music so they get aaaall this hype. Now X&Y builds those roots, and turns it into upbeat, decent pop music. It's what Mylo Xyloto should've been. The songwriting's shit though, as always. Anyway it's hard to argue opinion, because that's all it is, opinion, but this is how I feel.
  9. I like you because you don't hate X&Y.
  10. I'm sorry, do I come as a spoiled brat to you ? I know it must be worse off for you because you're not getting the download of the EP and I'm not sure if they will come to you, because I don't know where you live, that's awful, but that doesn't mean I'm inconsiderate of other people and I don't want them to play anywhere else, jesus I just wanted to vent for one moment, no more than that, because this is one of the bands that introduced me to music and it's just not meant to be again, first I was too young to go to a concert and now I'm too young to make an 8-hour drive in the middle of a school week, which in Europe is like crossing several different countries, but whatever, I'm spoiled and I don't care about anyone except me, you're free to believe whatever you like I don't mind missing gigs and I go to very few, don't sit very close, but this is one I must see before I die, you know  Indeed, and on top of that I spilled champagne all over my new Corvette! haha Yeah, I know, lots of brilliant bands go there, I'm very lucky. :disappointed: Perhaps when I'm 17-18 y'know, can't be running around there with my overprotective mom
  11. You lot are more irritating than the "Para-para" fans, did you know that?
  12. ^^ woahhhh
  13. yeah :cheesy: you know, the one with it's a bittersweeeeet sYMPHHONYYYY THIS LAAAAIAAAAAAIIAAAAAAFFFFE :bomb:
  14. Read my edit, I wasn't getting this thread too much until I read the lot of it.
  15. ^ Exactly what I meant to say
  16. hmm okay Let's do some questions that are actually pretty answerable and thought-provoking Is it truly worth it to die for a family member or friend? Yes, you’d be a hero, but that person would feel guilty for your death for the rest of their lives. Is that “brave” act actually cowardly because you’re transferring the guilt that you’d have felt if you did nothing and watched them die to your friend, who has to deal with the guilt of causing your death?
  17. I'm sorry your parents acted that way. I know people who are trying to find out who exactly they are and they're trying to be comfortable with themselves, and their family takes it as some sort of joke and it's just sad to watch. Bear in mind I'm not trying to antagonize you or put down who you are in anyway, I'm just having a little debate which is one of the most rewarding things about being on here. I hope you're not upset and I hope you can feel like you can always talk to me about something that's on your mind, whether it's venting or advice or whatever. I dunno about that. I don't think it's pointless. It's just something that means nothing more and nothing less but a word. Doesn't matter if it's the most common label (i.e. being heterosexual, conforming to your gender role) or something much more abstract or uncommon... it's just something that doesn't require more than 15 seconds of attention, once you've figured out what you think applies to you. I mean I appreciate that you're educating people about it and that's the great part, people are reading this and getting something out of it, but what does it really matter after that, just live your life as normal and don't feel like you have to adopt a completely new identity with rigid new rules on how to interact with people and offense and anger if they don't 100% cooperate, I feel it's unnecessary for a fact as simple as your age and the place you grew up. I think that's what some people were trying to get at but it translated poorly. I know it's not. That was a poor choice of words and I'm sorry. I meant to say that like I couldn't quite understand what the point of this whole debate is, because if it's not for educational reasons, and it's not to address a solution to a problem, what's the point of all this, just for the hell of it, you know? Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong... EDIT: I see more clearly now that you're offended by being called either gender, that just sucks for your situation, but the thing that concerns me I think after 10...20 years from now you'd get very sick and tired of telling people over and over what you want to be called so I don't know what to say. How will you feel about this when you're an adult? Will you still be as concerned for people calling you the right labels and pronouns, and if you stop, will you just be content without it, or will you see it as a sign of failure and defeat and never really being allowed to be comfortable with yourself? You just never know. See if there were many other people who went through the same thing like you and are grown up now, I could draw a conclusion and it would be easier to prove a point. But there's not that many people. I don't know where they are and how things are working out for them. So it's just up to you: how much are you gonna let it get to you? I'm rambling but I hope it makes a bit of sense. Maybe someone who knows better than me can bring something in here. Also I'm sorry I mess up your pronouns sometimes, I'll do my best to stop.
  18. Visible now, yeh. And there's nothing wrong with your list, not any more 'mainstream' than mine
  19. Well, to me, Starlight sounds like it's a classic song, simple but memorable, and the other two are a bit more messy and incohesive. It's Muse's Clocks. Coldplay have written other little blandish safe piano songs but Clocks stands out above all.
  20. Try reuploading with Tinypic guys EDIT: nope, still can't see it
  21. Los Angeles, second most populated city in the US, population four million and metropolitan population of eighteen million, and they don't even bother to come here once on this tour? I tried to see them last time they did a little tour and I was all ready to buy my tickets, but it was on some third-party site with a security system so poor and the scalpers got the tickets immediately while I lucked out... I read the reviews and many people said it was the most beautiful concert they have ever seen in their lives So I saw this in the morning and I jumped for joy before realizing that they're not even coming here I guess they're coming to Coachella instead, which is great because I'm too young to go and I don't even have $300 x 2 dollars and the mindset to enjoy such a loud, sweaty, and unintimate experience what the hell I mean I'm so happy they're touring again but whaaat the hell is this
  22. No one here either. I guess it's just a high chance that a person is American, it's the most populated Western country. I found out about them through some music trivia quiz, what a cool album. I heard they're working on stuff, but I worry that it just might be Since I Left You 2.0. That really turns me off from listening to an album for some reason. It's like with the xx, Coexist might be good, well because the first album is good. But it just irritates me that they didn't bother to innovate their sound at all. A band that brings in some new influences to their music, but it's not critically approved at least tried, a band that doesn't change their sound at all is just lazy. Anyway, just rambling. Ooooh I see what you did there Took me a long while to get it :disappointed: ooooh Heathen, Aladdin Sane, and Scary Monsters :cheesy: But Low, every time I try to listen to it, I nearly fall asleep, all of the songs except for Sound and Vision sound exactly the same to me  Can't see yours Can't see yours either
