Doctor Who ???......
as sad as that revelation was, storywise, i thought that was actually a good twist. cos The Doctor was so sure that the 4 knocks would be from The Master (who turned out to have sacrificed himself for The Doctor...bloody hell! so there IS some good in him amongst the insanity from the sound of the drums!). & then it turned out to be from Wilf.......oh, the cruel irony of the situation! :\

Doctor Who ???......
there's only really 1 episode with Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor so far. & even then he's only in it for like all of the last 20secs or so... ;) yeah...that bit where they were retaking that particular scene to get the mood just right when he says "i don't want to go..." the goodbyes was a great touch. gives the sense that things have come full circle for the Tenth Doctor & the Doctor's adventures as the Eleventh Doctor will be a whole new story. & that scene where he goes back to look for Rose..............ah....i'll miss The Doctor & Rose. darnit, i'll miss the Tenth Doctor!!! :bigcry:

awww, Elena....don't feel bad about it... to be honest i didn't really think to post here initially til Anna mentioned i should. same thought process as you, i guess. :embarassed: i realise the link's been up a while now on the SP.com a while, but i guess i never really noticed it since i don't go into the Live section much. i'm mostly lurking in the SP General or Other Bands sections....occasionally the Guitar Tabs section. & i agree with you that it's great that whoever recorded this hasn't edited out Gary's banter in between songs. haven't listened to it in full, but so far i already love the 1st track with Gary's complaining about the 2 ppl who are late....hilarious start! "where are those...these 2 people by the way? where...? 8 o'clock it said on the tickets...8 o'clock. these 2 people as well... what are they doing? what...out drinking cider outside? not gonna buy a beer at the bar?" ...no idea what in the world he's saying here about a woodpecker... "anyway, they're getting it when they get here... don't clap for them..." oh & i didn't realise it til i heard it, but that's the RAH gig with that proposal that never happened!!! *rotfl* if i were that guy, i'd be hiding my face in complete shame.......& not be in any hurry to do another public proposal ever again, even if that girl IS real.

no worries...tho you all can thank SueDeNimes (Anna) for reminding me on Twitter to post here. ;) btw, Jen, there's a short New Year post by Gary in the SP board & i think he mentioned in it he'll write a longer post about 2009 later. oh, the files are all in MP3 format (which saves me & you the hassle of converting from FLAC like for most bootlegs) :D file type is MP3...as mentioned above. why stunned about the VW lah? & yeah...darn these talented people. even Tom. only learnt the piano after joining Snow Patrol. i never even got past the basics of the piano...or the guitar. :shame: & i'm definitely not going to try the violin...i might get slapped with a public disturbance complaint for all the screeching. :P

guess it pays to check out the SP.com forums's Live section once in a while even when the guys aren't touring...some kind soul has posted a bootleg of one of the RAH gigs on the Reworked Tour!!! :D details of the bootleg as follows : having a listen to it now & it's a pretty decent recording so far, though the volume of Gary's singing (only) seems to drop a bit in the Olive Grove track. finally, i can enjoy the Reworked songs, especially the new versions of Chasing Cars & The Planets Bend Between Us whenever i want on my iPod!

speaking of Iain, after the show in Bristol he drove a VW Polo (i think) & mounted the curb pretty close to me when he drove towards where i was to pick up Miriam...i was like "what the hell's this guy doing???", then i saw Miriam getting into the car a couple of minutes later. & i realised who the driver was. d'oh. :P

Burn Notice
i was watching it til midway of the 2nd season. will need to pick up from where i left off. Michael's adventures are pretty funny to watch. i especially love the monologues about what it takes to be a good spy.

What are you reading right now?
that person must've been either very smart or was overestimating the reading capacity of the average 15-year-old... :P you'd need to at least know a bit about the whole apartheid thing in South Africa, racial prejudices, etc. to get a sense of what the book's main theme is to begin with.

off-topic, but...difference between XBox & Playstation, in layman terms : XBox = Microsoft Playstation = Sony ;) i dunno...i'm guessing that's one way to cut cost for the albums/CDs. i have Kaiser Chiefs' 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' & James Morrison's 'Undiscovered' which are "Special Singapore Edition". both have just a simple 2-page inner sleeve. sads. as for why Nathan didn't sign it...........he ran off so fast back into the back alley he came from that when i was done taking photos & stuff with Paul (i still haven't figured this one out, but why is he called "Pablo" or "Pabs" by the guys? ) & Jonny, he was gone. :disappointed: anyway, yeah, the original bassist & co-founding member, Mark, left like some time after Final Straw was released...i think. but i personally don't think there's a big difference in sound on the albums from the change in bassists. dunno about live performances tho...cos Paul didn't actually play bass guitar until SP recruited him. (darn these naturally gifted musicians! :P )

haha...yeah, 2 for RM50 then likely to be the Malaysian Edition ones. well...................................there IS a difference in the audio quality. to me. BUT unless you've been influenced to be particular about audio quality by a dad who deals in industrial AV equipment, then don't worry about the imported CDs' quality. cos it's not a really big deal if cost is a factor & you need the right audio gear too anyway to be able to hear the real difference. the other difference, & the main reason i stick to buying the imported CDs (tho it helps a lot that i'm already in the UK now), is that the Malaysian Edition's CD booklets are nothing more that a slip folded in 2 or 3 with not much content. I DO NOT LIKE THAT!!! :( i love opening the wrappings & taking out the booklets to read the stuff that the artist/band includes in their albums' CD booklets, like the 'thank you's, where the songs were recorded/mixed, who worked on the songs, etc. (ok, i'm weird like that... :shame: ) & i *especially* love the cheeky little messages like SP's "Mums and Dads of the world be patient with your children" that's in every one of their albums. :wacky: + for Final Straw the 'thank you's includes a line thanking everyone who bought the record instead of just downloading it for free off the Internet... :wacky: :wacky: :wacky: btw, Snow Patrol stuff listened through a pair of Grado Labs' Alessandro MS-1 headphones = AWESOME!!! :D

i've watched the film adaptation with Stephen Dorff, Morgan Freeman & Daniel Craig...was alright, but felt rushed & lots of changes to the general storyline too.

What are you reading right now?
that book is a classic (to me anyway)! :D but it's kinda heavy reading from anyone below 15, isn't it? i first read it in the 90s when i was 15+(ish) & when i had it with me in school, my classmates were more interested in how thick the book was than the contents...they actually measured it with a ruler! :dozey: in any case, i still re-read it to this day, even in it's yellowing & falling apart state... & while the sequel Tandia was good, it still isn't as good as The Power of One.
