  8. yay for the suburbs most overrated album
  9. Yeah. And back then albums were A LOT more popular. fans of popular music would buy albums. it's not like that anymore. If arcade fire don't have a hit single the kids won't bother!
  10. Yeah, I guess. But this does not mean kids will start listening to indie music instead of Lady GaGa or whatever. Actually, it will probably mean they will continue listening to their pop music and never give Arcade Fire a chance because they won the award, not their favourite artist. This might not have been what you were saying but I have seen a lot of people saying "ARCADE FIRE SAVED MUSIC" "THERE IS HOPE FOR MUSIC NOW" and that's just ridiculous.
  11. I don't think them winning the grammy will do anything for popular music. I think they will be pretty much recognised as a band like Kings Of Leon or whatever. If it was Funeral or Neon Bible it would be different. But The Suburbs is pretty much a standard rock album.
  12. I think a lot of them are hipsters being silly but some of them are real, probbabblyy
  13. No I wouldn't go as far as hating them. I still kind of like Parachutes but I wouldn't listen to it. I respect them but they are nowhere to be seen on my itunes library.
  14. I can agree with that.
  15. luckily my dad loves radiohead so him + me are buying the newspaper mp3 one

  18. My taste has changed.
  19. For most of us who do not like Coldplay it is because we used to like them, but decided to stay on the board because there are some really great people here and the non coldplay forums are pretty cool.
  20. I felt it was more of a the Grammys is a huge event and it's probably on an extremely tight schedule and they just don't have time for another song kind of thing
  21. I have no idea. I think pop music is fine as it is, anyway.
  22. do new zealand bands count lol
