  1. That's the box set full of other programs for live performances and such. Logic on it's own costs around $250 US, it's called Logic Express 9.
  2. firing without good cause = severence. at least that's how it goes in my country.
  3. inspired me to expand my musical playing abilities. Since listening I learned piano and it made my guitar playing stronger.
  4. viva separated them from bands like U2 and radiohead. and if they keep thinking the same, the album will be just as boring as the last. they need fresh stuff.

Sure, I basically use 2 reverb settings. Everything else is controlled by amp & volume. The one posted above for DAAHF is the one I use for LiJ. I'll post the other any minute now...

video unavailable due to copyright claim by EMI. i think this confirms it.
  12. That is my amp, with my guitar volume at 2.5

I use the rv-5, a mode called "modulation", if that reverb has the same then by all means go for it.
  14. TyM218 replied to TyM218's topic in The Instrument Room
I never use spring. I only use modulation and hall.
  15. Shouldn't be much of a problem, just keep it in a shaded place
  16. It's probably better, because as you probably know, heat makes things expand. if you keep the room at a nuetral temperature it should prevent the strings from detuning.
  17. The one lyric that always catches my attention is A warning sign You came back to haunt me and I realised That you were an island and I passed you by When you were an island to discover

The reverb effect used on most viva-era songs is called modulation, which is the standout feature of the RV-5. In my demo you can hear it on LiJ, DAAHF and lost.
  19. There's music other than coldplay? :shocked2::stunned::thinking: BTW, I have an informal essay I need to hand in for english, can I use this rant? It's good enough to get me an A.
  20. I used a regular channel (not clean) but with my volume set to 2.3 or 2, sounded similar to me.
  21. Yes I am, the tab I posted is exactly what I'm playing.
  22. TyM218 replied to TyM218's topic in The Instrument Room
I would reccomend the RV-5, but only if you KNOW you will use it a lot. It's around $200 depending on where you buy it from. But if your really into coldplay and other things alike, its a must have. I like playing some RHCP tunes with it too.

  24. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8Nwmb9IHcI]YouTube- RV-5 Demo[/ame] Sorry for taking so long to post, but there ya go! ^^Also used in LiJ and Lost! Keep in mind that the sound I get is a combination of my amp settings, pedal setting and guitar volume. Many times I put my guitars volume to 2.5 to achieve some of these sounds.
