Sherlock (TV Series)
BAFTA AWARD WINNER ANDREW SCOTT Well-deserved for a brilliant portrayal of Moriarty, imho. :wacky: Why isn't there a picture of him and Benedict together? I demand a picture.

Sherlock (TV Series)
HAPPY REICHEN - wait. That's a great gif, Christina! The colors are really nice. Ah, cool. Hopefully you can see both versions. :nice: That's alright! I'm just really intrigued by Joan, but the show will have plenty of different things to interest people. Guess we'll see how it is once the pilot airs.

Sherlock (TV Series)
I've only seen Jonny Lee Miller in a few episodes of Eli Stone, but he does seem like a great actor. He seems like a really cool guy too. With an adorable face. :wacky: (Ooh, nice! I'm going to see Frankenstein too! I'm counting down the days until the screening. Which version are you seeing?) It's definitely understandable why people are concerned about the change to Watson's history. You're right; according to the synopsis, she lost her license after one of her patients died. :\ But like I said before, if the writers can make Joan a strong character who overcomes these obstacles and past demons, I'd be okay with the change. Maybe. The things I'm most interested in are the deductions, Joan, her relationship with Holmes (not necessarily for the romantic aspect or whatever), and Holmes' characterization. Honestly, I'll be happy if this is, at the very least, a decent show. For me personally, it's just really exciting to see a woman of color as one of the lead roles, and I'm hoping Joan will be an awesome character. Yep . . .

I'm . . . cautiously optimistic about this? Setting myself up for disappointment, though.

Sherlock (TV Series)
I got Mrs. Hudson. :nice: You are Mrs. Hudson. Warm and loving, you’re everyone’s surrogate mother. Always there to make some tea, listen to someone’s problems, or answer the door when the cops arrive, you can pretty much handle anything. Your past is a little bit mysterious — what exactly happened with your ex, anyway? — and you may have seen some wilder days in your youth, but you’ve (mostly) mellowed now. You might want to be careful of those “herbal soothers” though.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
They definitely need to play longer shows. I was a little disappointed when the band finished their set and exited the stage five minutes before schedule when I saw them live (unless they had a good reason). Yes, I know, it's just five minutes and they were amazing and fantastic, but JUST ONE MORE SONG, PRETTY PLEASE.

[27-Apr-2012] Coldplay @ HP Pavilion, San Jose, CA, USA
I was in that section last night. I thought the view was pretty great, even though I wasn't able to really see the stage visuals properly. The great thing is that the band acknowledges all sections, even the ones behind the stage. I can't really tell you anything about the sound (since I have nothing to compare it to, having been at the HP Pavilion only once) but it wasn't bad. I hope that was informative. :sweatdrop: Have an amazing time tonight!

[27-Apr-2012] Coldplay @ HP Pavilion, San Jose, CA, USA
And then I had my first Coldplay concert. :dazzled: I'm just going to ramble in this review . . . First off, the only (small) complaint I have is the sound. Maybe it's because I sat on the side of the stage, which probably doesn't receive the best sound, but I really wish the vocals were louder and clearer. The overall mixing sounded a little distorted to me, but it wasn't too distracting. The band and the music itself were, well, explosive. That's probably not the best adjective, but I'm going to use it. Their sound hits you like some tidal wave and you're completely enveloped in the music. The boys just sounded so great together, and they put so much effort into their playing (after GPASUYF, Jonny has pretty much become my guitar hero). I will never understand how Chris has so much energy to leap, frolic, spin around, etc. throughout the gig. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his voice sounded pretty fantastic. I loved his falsetto during Up in Flames. Highlight of the night for me was definitely Warning Sign (is it routine for Chris to mess up in the middle of it now? his apology was pretty endearing). Beautiful acoustic-ish rendition (Jonny's guitar added so much to it  ) with a very lovely piano outro. I also really liked the mellow piano-vocal intro to Yellow before Chris' acoustic guitar takes over. I think I'll stop now. ETA: Forgot to mention the LIGHTS. LASERS. XYLOBANDS. MIND-NUMBING AND DAZZLING COLORS EVERYWHERE. Those were great.

Ah, thanks! I just wasn't sure, since their website doesn't really explain what cameras are okay for concerts (it just says "in most cases for concerts", cameras are not allowed).

[28-Apr-2012] Coldplay @ HP Pavilion At San Jose, San Jose, CA, USA
Does the HP Pavilion seriously not allow cameras inside the venue? :blank: I'm checking out the "how to sneak cameras inside" thread now, but does anyone here know if they really do not allow us to take pictures? ETA: Because I'm a concert noob. ETA2: Eeeehhh, now I don't feel like risking it.

[17-Apr-2012] Coldplay @ Rexall Place, Edmonton, AB, Canada
This was during the last tour - I remember one person or two on CPing had seats in the back of the venue, but a roadie (or someone related to the band) asked them if they could name the title of Coldplay's first album. They answered correctly, and were given seats that were much closer to the stage. So you never know . . . :awesome:

Foster The People
They've been playing it live for the past several months, but never got around to releasing it (until now/next Saturday). It's a pretty sad song. :(
