It's completely amazing what she has done over the past year. :shocked2: . Who would have thought that she would get SO massive. Her RITD performance at the Grammys completely slayed me

I have never really listened any of Maroon 5 albums ( I've only heard the singles and stuff) And I quite liked the album :) . I mean , it's completely different from before and completely get why people say they've sell out ( specially since Mooves like jagger was massive , they followed that). Payphone it's one of my fave songs this year + there are other songs like Sad or Lucky strike Doin dirt that are quite good. Truth is that it's a great workout album :laugh3: + It sounds more like an Adam album more than a Maroon 5 album

That and also the fact that their albums are discounted on several places + iTunes. The single POC is 50% off too.

Actually paradise is in the 1.6 million mark. 1.1 from the album version + 0-5 from the Single version ( that was released before MX came out )

Meh lol , It's the same , GMA also have outdoor concerts .. The thing is that , both GMA and Today outdoor shows are done in summer as part of a "Summer series concerts" .. Ever since it's not Summer or nowhere near , They be doing it on the studio lol

Well , That's true. First of all , I think that Coldplay has been helped by the digital era , and that's mainly why Paradise and other songs have achived platinum status and so. I think that if Clocks or the scientist were released in the digital era they would have been certified platinum. So you can't really messure the success of Paradise and compare it to their past hits either lol. What I'm saying is that , Paradise sure wasn't a hit on radio. I mean , it did reach #1 on triple A radio , but Triple A radio audience is very little , So you can have a number one smash on Triple A radio ( Or for example Rock AC ) and the impact be minimal

That's for the UK though. I think that POC is more likely. I HOPE it is POC

Are you serious? The song proved to be a HUGE dissapointment in the US. Specifically on Radio. VLV (song) was a top 10 radio hit and got to 80 million AI . Paradise stalled at 20 AI ( ETIAW did better , sitting at 33 million impressions ) . It didn't even managed to get in the top 100 airplay charts. Although maybe if you listen to AC Rock or triple A radio ( that have little impact on the main chart ) it was a hit there

IMO , Releasing CB in the States would literally kill MX era there. It's already been dead for a while and CB will not pick up there. If they decide to release POC for the summer , it will be a hit but won't help the album at that time

I think that one of the things I like the most about MX , is that even though It won't reach the same total as VLV , It wasn't as frontloaded as VLV was. I mean , Viva sold like 5 million in the first month and a half lol. There's no way CB can become a top 10 in the US. POC can IMO and would be the best choice as a single states side.

Lol , NO. People don't have to buy one album or another. They can buy both. It's not like , "Okey , I bought adele's one in March... I'm not buying Mylo Xyloto". Adele is smashing , why ?. Well , IMO it's a breath of fresh air for the industry. Her music is raw , her lyrics are great , and her voice is immpecable. The music is way more organic that what music on radio is now , and it appeals to Woman and man from all ages , ranging from Old ( who buy the physical CD'S ) but also to teenagers ( Who are supporting the album digitially and the singles ). I mean , We've seen this phenomenom happen before .. Maybe with Alanis Morrisete or Norah Jones and so on .. I agree with the targeting of the CD'S ... IMO Ever since Viva la vida , Coldplay has been targeting a much more younger crowd than they did before. I think that also we can see that their singles are being supported more than there were before and that's an explaination

Well , First of all , when they performed at the UK X factor , the single Paradise was just begining to smash , so there was basically no point in rushing Charlie Brown cause it would have killed it. They did good there , It went to be their Highest selling UK single ever. Regarding the Grammys , well , sometimes they play the songs that are nominated. It's really common. Paradise was up for 2 awards ( I think ) so it was okey that they performed it. For example , Adele performed her year and half single ' Rolling in the deep ' even though her current one ( states side ) is Set Fire To The Rain . Charlie Brown would have been better IMO , but Paradise worked fine. I don't really know if they will play Paradise at the brits. I hope they do play Charlie Brown... But then again , if they play Paradise it wouldn't be bad.

Meh , I doubt it's affecting them though. They don't specifically appeal to the same audiences ( although both are quite crossover ) . But I really don't think it has to do with Adele. I think it has more to do that for example ,Viva la Vida was backed with a huge succesful hit that was truly massive and had it selling for almost all 08. Paradise was an okey hit. Succesfull in the UK and a couple of countires and then performed modarate at others. They are lacking the US audience , I think that is due to Paradise not performing well. They should release POC asap

Adele has been selling each week 250k WW. That's incredible in this industry. 20 million copies already sold of 21. 22 million shipped. The album is set to sell 650-700 k in it's 52th week . Doubt MX will have the same longevity.

Well , She was at a moment. She had started taking drougs and doing cocaine when the Bodyguard era began . 1992-1993 . So at her peak she was doing crack. She released some of her best work between those years but then lost it. She was able to make a succesful "Comback" in 2009 with 'I look to you' that was really good in my opinion. We'll have to wait to what was her cause of death.

This is so not exactly the same as Lost!/Lovers For me , Lost! In the UK underperformed mainly cause it was way too different from what "Coldplay" was generally known atm. People were turned off by it and that's why it kinda flopped. By the time Lovers was released , the hype had already gone . Lost! In the US .. They tried to make it more to the US market with Jay .. but was really different from what was hot atm in the USA. IMO .. POC will completely smash. it's smashing already , top 100 on itunes without being released as a single .. Back in the Billboard hot 100 again .. . Rihanna's apparence in it IMO will make it a guaranteed smash in both sides of the Atlantic. It will give coldplay's biggest airplay numbers in the US ... And Rihanna is Absolutely HUGE in the UK too .. For me , they can release POC WW as a 3rd single .. and then with the momentum going and hype created release CB Or they can release CB in the UK and POC in the USA. If CB is realased in the USA now , it will flop and will even be overshadowed by POC
