  1. Ok, so a lot of people were planning, maybe hoping on seeing more of Car Kids, maybe we still will on an EP, idk. But the bottom of the album proclaims a colorful "CK" as the 5th symbol, right where UAtW appears on the tracklisting. I was listening to the Glastonbury concert and toward the last 20 seconds of the song, the boys go into a guitar skid (almost The Who-ish) that doesn't seem to coincide or fit properly into the rest of the song...anyone think that this is maybe a transition into Car Kids as a hidden track? If I'm crazy please say so lol.
  2. It's probably like someone mentioned: the split up on the vinyl, but still, I was thinking about the split yesterday and if you look at the songs we know (and the ones you can somewhat guess at with the title), you can understand that there is a bit of a mood shift between the two sets. Part I appears to be joyous, upbeat. Part II, at least judging from Major Minus and Princess of China, appears to be a bit darker, sinister. But A Hopeful Transmission feels like a beacon in the darkness. I guess we'll see if I got a bingo! lol
  3. lol thanks, same here.
  4. Perhaps this "alien" is exiled and sent elsewhere (which would explain Paradise and PoC). This character, let's call it Mylo Xyloto, is confused as to who he/she really is (explaining the lyric "I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine" from HLH). Maybe they're not an alien at all, but rather a normal person living in, what is to them, an alien world. Maybe the album is about retribution and finding one's place in the world...getting back to one's roots a conquering hero. Kind of a Kal-El thing.
  5. Peter Gabriel too.
  6. No one's telling you to listen to every song. Hold out on hearing Up in Flames and DLIBYH. If you don't want the album to be "ruined" then don't listen to the songs in advance.
  7. I think the swirl represents confusion, maybe confusion of what one's role is. "I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine."
  8. When I saw this on Twitter during my lunch break I squeeled in my GF's ear over the phone and nearly creamed myself lol.
  9. I have to agree on the butterflies (love 'em that is). Maybe Paradise is epic along the lines of Lovers in Japan.
  10. I absolutely agree with you. It's probably something EMI put them up to. Either that or a good chunk of the new material we heard in the summer is going to be scratched (but I highly doubt that).
  11. Maybe you will. I've heard enough of MX to have my appetite whet for another month. lol
  12. Twisted Mind the cake is a lie...that is all.
  13. And Paradise...lol considering its the first single...and Mylo Xyloto considering its the title track. But that's just a strong hunch.

To me this solidifies that PoC will be included somehow. This sounds like an extension of that theme.
  15. July 26, 2011 - submitted by Samina, United States of America Q. What songs did Coldplay perform at the iTunes Festival this year? The Oracle replies: It was pretty much the same setlist as most of the other festival shows but with the addition of Moving to Mars making its live debut. *Hurts Like Heaven Yellow In My Place Major Minus Lost! The Scientist Shiver Violet Hill God Put A Smile Upon Your Face Moving To Mars Us Against The World Politik Viva la Vida Charlie Brown Life Is For Living The encore: Clocks Fix You Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall *I know some will say they began with MX, but I'm not counting that as a track... Let's put this to rest.
  16. I love the light at the end of the tunnel...very symbolic of the album and song title itself.
  17. Doubt Lies Inside Both Your Hearts?
  18. Death (Doubt?) Lives In Between (Both?) Your Hearts
  19. Water under the bridge man.
  20. It clearly means don't let Ignacio bite your hose
  21. I agree also. Far too much Karma Police (or Gestapo) lurking around the threads.
  22. I'm not entirely sure why everyone thinks Major Minus is a definite for the album. In the interview last month Chris was skeptical as to its inclusion. If you recall it was the interviewer that was really, really pushing for it. Chris called it the villian and laughed it off as anyone would to change the subject. It's a good song, but I honestly don't think it will make the album.
  23. I got into them around Christmas when My Body was free on iTunes. Going to see them next week in Orlando...$12 ticket=hell yeah!
  24. Charlie Brown. I keep trying to listen to Princess of China, and to be honest, I don't understand what all the fuss is about. All the versions I've heard are poor quality, and the music I can hear isn't all that good. So yeah lol.
