  1. The album will leak in 263542 milliseconds...Bazinga, you've fallen for another one of my classic practical jokes.
  2. Thats ridiculous. Why should the things he does affect you?
  3. Surely you arent implying that Cosmological Physics also "sucks" RIGHT!?!?!?!!?
  4. Damn I forgot LiT ii, but I think the greatest beginning/end of any album is Viva - Light Through the Veins is epic.
  5. 1. Yellow 2. The Scientist 3. Talk 4. Square One 5. Don't Panic 6. Lovers in Japan 7. Viva La Vida 8. Fix You 9. Clocks 10. Strawberry Swing 11. Hurts Like Heaven 12. Charlie Brown 13. Glass of Water 14. Life is For Living (Live)
  6. I'm not entirely sure why everyone draws up negative connotations when the term "pop" is heard. The Beatles, often considered the greatest band of all time, was a pop band (look at anything written between '63-'66, and even some non-psych stuff from '67-'70). The Smiths, another great English band...pop music. I often compare The Smiths to Coldplay, not for any stylistic reasons, but they were a poppy-rock band with great instrumentations, a dynamic vocalist and something to say. They were a band that people loved to hate, loved to condemn and loved to label, kind of like Coldplay. Look at The Cure, Joy Division. Paul Simon is classified as World Pop. Are you gonna tell me that Paul Simon isn't an incredible musician? It's not like every Rock act is great (look at Nickelback for pete's sake!). So please, don't be ignorant. Don't condemn the genre of music, rather, take a look at the particular artist. Coldplay have LONG been mainstream. Yellow, Clocks and VLV topped the charts. They've won Grammy's. They've topped the iTunes download lists. They've headlined the world's top festivals, and there's nothing wrong with that. Bands change. What Chris Martin thought was relevant or what he felt in 2000 when he penned Parachutes might not be what he's feeling in 2011. You can't expect a person to remain stagnant for 10 years, and if you do then I suggest you leave this forum, hole yourself up in a bunker, and remain frozen in the "glory years". Be patient folks, it's a virtue.

  8. Well I suppose I will bestow the honor of Favorite British Band to Mumford & Sons...sorry Coldplay, you had one hell of a run.
  9. Surely you jest. Lotus Flower is better, as is Codex, as is The Separator.
  10. I'll just buy the vinyl when it comes out at Best Buy - vinyl's now a day come w/ either the CD or the MP3 downloads so I'm covered either way. Plus I'll save $60-70 for not being suckered into that wretched deluxe edition. OHHHHHH pictures! Gimme a break.
  11. What happened to Coldplay being influenced by Travis and Jeff Buckley? Now it's Jay-Z and Kanye West...bogus man.
  12. How about using ohhh I don't know maybe fellow countrymen Adele or Florence? I was so disheartened when I read this this morning. My fiance and I were just saying the other day how every hip hop artist needed someone to collaborate with and I beckoned that I was overly pleased that Coldplay didn't feel the need to do that, then I get this news. Are they truly at the point in their career where Chris feels they need outside influence to get the job done? I feel bad for Will, Guy and Jonny...damn shame. Viva La Vida!!!
  13. So you're going to wait 3 more hours for something that's out now? Something that LOTS of other Coldplayers are enjoying as we speak??? lol just bustin your chops (but seriously)
  14. Im gonna listen to it on a good nights rest that way i hear it in my right mind unlike you boneheads :-P lol
  15. That's me. recent trip to Haiti.
  16. Nah, I'll buy the vinyl when that comes out.
  17. Yes...better than MM and MM.................
  18. 15 songs does sound a bit high in my opinion, especially for Coldplay, but FlipBack's right, there could be another hidden track elsewhere as well, there are about 9 songs that I haven't heard (PoC) included, so it's a possibility. That's not to say the hidden tracks are all 4 minutes long (a la Chinese Sleep Chant, Life is For Living, etc.), they may be short, 30-40 sec clips with a verse or two of lyrics.
  19. Lol Phew!
