  8. Sorry this has been way over due! Sorry Mixtape person! Track 1: The National- Little Faith, There was actually a lot of the National on this tape, not a bad thing, because I do enjoy them tremendously! So this track was a little sad, not too up beat or anything. Track 2: Well here is the up beat song instead, a female singer, she has a rich voice and she is apparently in a cold war. The song is all right it doesn’t really do it for me, but it is a track that I wont immediately skip over if that makes sense ;) Track 3: Eh Devendra Banhart right? Meh, it’s a bit too slow for me, the piano was nice, but then it switches mid song with guitar and a totally different feel. If you were to cut out the beginning it would be okay. But holy cow it switches a lot, geez. :P Track 4: Intro has this almost Mumford and sons’y’ guitar and then you get the singer who almost reminds me of Thom York with his grasping for high notes voice. Another mellow track, until you get towards the end where it picks up a little bit, and then slows back down Track 5: OH! Fleet Foxes! I love them, kind of odd since a couple of the artists on this mixtape are slightly similar, but this is a great song! (The Shrine / An Argument) Long, but great! Track 6: Well an upbeat song again, heavy guitar and drums, interesting singer, he has a peculiar voice, I think I will keep this. Track 7: Bahahah! YES! Oh Kanye West! Can you go wrong with him? No one man should have all that power! Track 8:The National- Sorrow, love them and I seriously need to see them live! Track 9: Blur- Coffee & TV another good song! Track 10: Orchestra music, pretty calm, almost like a fantasia song, it was nice, but I think I would put it on my fall asleep playlist ;) Track 11: The National- Daughters of Soho Riots, again love them ☺ Track 12: Kings of Leon- Pyro, great song, love the guitar in the beginning. Track 13: Ugh, sorry did not like this song at all! Way too repetitive! She has got her a and b machines for sure! Track 14: Band of Horses- The Funeral Love this song! A good choice for the end song on the tape, has a great slow beginning a then it builds into this cascade of loud banging drums and guitars! Overall I think I liked the second half of the mixtape more then the first half, but nice job, you win some and you lost some with me, but eh I’m picky. :P
  9. Oh for my person, let me listen to the mixtape a few more time and then I will post my review :)

  11. Dear ChrisMartin_is_a_fag, You are a down right son of a bitch. I hope you realize that your remarks are not constructive to anyone here. If you have the time to sit down and write such things, you obviously have issues, perhaps you are the one who is still living in your mom's house. You don't know anything about the people on here, we may not have met each other in person, but we still know a great deal about each other and have made connections through other means. Grow up, and stop hiding behind a computer screen, and writing nasty remarks to better yourself. Until you write a story and have anything of merit to contribute here, leave us be. If you should choose to continue to be spiteful, be warned that your actions are not tolerated on this site.
  12. Dear Mixtape Partner, Good Luck, this might help: http://www.last.fm/user/Vivalakimberly
  13. Coldplay asked to perform London 2012 Olympic anthem COLDPLAY have been asked to open the London 2012 Games – performing a specially-written official Olympics anthem. The historic performance at the opening ceremony could reach a record TV audience of two billion. Bosses behind the Games have appointed arts charity The Dartington Hall Trust to commission the track – to be called Welcome Song. And industry insiders say Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 34, is No.1 on Olympic organisers’ most-wanted list. An insider revealed: “Chris is at the top of the list to front the official record. He’s a huge star and a British musical icon, with an international profile. We’re pulling out all the stops to get hold of him, ideally with the rest of Coldplay involved, too. “Coldplay are the biggest stadium rockers in Britain today and their style of anthemic music would be perfect for the Olympics. It needs to be something inspirational. The hope is that they would perform at the opening ceremony, as well as produce a recording of the track, which could help fund good causes in British sport.” The’ opening ceremony on July 27, 2012, is being masterminded by Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle. Others being approached are soul singer Joss Stone, electro-rockers Muse, and Britpop’s Damon Albarn. Olympics spokesman Richard Crowe confirmed the Cultural Olympiad was looking for a contemporary artist, such as Coldplay or Muse. But the final decision was up to the Trust. A spokesman said it was looking for the right artist – but it was early days. http://www.mirror.co.uk/
