Hi. I'm your mixtape maker. Sorry that you didn't like your tape very much. Normally I'd adapt a tape to your taste, however when you did that post earlier on into the thread I thought I'd do something different for this one. Sorry it didn't work, I didn't think it would be this dreadful an experience though. :cry: Basically, this has taught me a lesson. No matter how much people may say that they want a different mixtape. They actually don't. People do much prefer music engineered to their taste. So for getting it so wrong, I really am sorry. That's one badass tape. I love the inclusion of Razorlight, Late of the Pier, The Drums... Heck everything. What a mixtape! @Christina: I'm surprised you didn't know Late of The Pier, it's only like one of Dom's favourite bands. And Metronomy's newer album is way different to teh older one, less high pitched, really good... And that's Razorlights' best album, so if you didn't like that... Welll.

'Blank EP' First off I have to say that I like the cover art. That's the ETIAW font right? Track 1- Ahhh, such a good opener for the tape and even more appropriate given the weather. Who doesn't like a bit of Bono of a morning? Track 2- At first it sort of reminds me of something off The Sims when you were in building mode (if that makes sense). It's a really nice track once the layers build up, really pretty and summer like (the pipes/flutes -do I get points for attempting to identify instruments?- sound like birds tweeting away in a chorus). I feel like I recognise the voice though from something else. Track 3- I really do like this track. It's quite dramatic. The main problem is I keep waiting for the lyrics to start and they never arrive-- which is really disappointing. Because ssome good lyrics through a gravelly voice would've worked wonders here and made this song epic. Track 4- As soon as the track opened I knew who it was and had to skip it, sorry. I'm not a pop music fan, so I can't really deal with Pink. :( Track 5- A-Ha! Oh gosh, I haven't heard this version of Take on Me in an awfully long while, normally I hear the A1 version (I go to this cheesy disco night and they only play the A1 version for some reason). This one is way better, I want to listen to my 70/80's CD's now. Track 6- The Beatles? :stunned: That's a little unexpected. And I might get shot for saying this, but I'm not a massive fan. Track 7- This is another instrumental track. I'm terribly fussy about these as I'm not actually one for instrumentals. This one sort of sounds like it belongs on a Disney soundtrack to one of the princess ones. It is really plesant to listen to though-- and it doesn't offend me in any way. I think I might be too fast to discount instrumentals. :P Track 8- Oh, I instantly like this track. Very nice. Right up my street with the guitar and drums and the strings on it. And I really like the singers' voice. Want more. :awesome: Track 9- When I heard this track for the first time I skipped it. I gave it a couple more chances and it turns out that it's a bit of a grower. It picks up after the 1 minute mark, as prior to that I wasn't a huge fan. I think it's because up until that point his voice and the quite sappy lyrics are the focal point. But when everything comes together it does so in style. Track 10- Is this more U2, I immediately asked myself in the super long intro. Then the lyrics kick in and I know that it's definitely Bono. Such a good song. I keep forgetting how large and expansive the U2 back catalogue actually is. Track 11- This is a quite short. Once again an instrumental with some nice strings on it. Nothing hard on the ears. Track 12- I've really run out of things to say about instrumentals. From the 2'30 mark though it sounds like it may belong to like a war film though. It has that patriotic, they're all really brave, feel with the brass bands. It seems to go on forever though Being almost 8 minutes long. I couldn't make it to the end. Sorry. Track 13- At first I didn't think I would like this track. But how wrong was I? I haven't really heard the track before, but I'm pretty sure I recognise the voice and may have heard snippets before... Is this Elbow? (I feel like I may have heard it in Benicassim whilst sat in the grass waiting for The Strokes). Track 14- E.L.O! Oh man, another throw back. Love it. Cue my bad singing and dancing around the room. Track 15- It sounds like something of the Torchwood soundtrack me feels. Track 16- Another instrumental piece. But I think it does really well to round off the entire mixtape. I really enjoy this one more, probably more than the ones prior as it has its' moments of calm and then it has the bigger, bolder moments which of course serve to make it really dramatic. Overall, it was a nice mixtape to listen to, but there were just a few too many instrumentals for my liking (as I'm not a massive fan). I will definitely be checking out some more of track 2, 8 and 13 because they are my definite favourites.

It's a sad day when the police force in areas that haven't rioted are thanking us for not rioting. Common decency seems to have flown out of the window.

I'm leaving this thread until Muse have disappeared back into the studio. I can't handle the insane jealousy and the intense disappointment I'm getting from not being able to see/meet them at all. :sad:

We won't tell anyone... ;) Especially Adam. Probably, that's what it seems to me anyway. But admittedly we don't know the guy, we just see him and what we see is probably out of context anyway. I wouldn't say I'm snobby, my housemates are and I get really annoyed when they look down their nose at people. I try not to be snobby, but I guess at points I can be without even thinking about it...? If that makes sense. Just sort of like at work I figure I probably come across snobby when talking about uni. Fank yoo :hug: I wouldn't go as far to say that I'm attractive though, obvs because I have self doubt just like every other human beans. There's 2 main ways extensions can be done: glue or clip-in. When I was off work for a bit, I went for glue in. When I'm in work though I have to go for clip-in because they don't like colourful hair so I'm not allowed to have them in. But clip in tend not to damage your hair as much. I'm getting it dyed though once I finish meh job. :awesome: :laugh3: Bascially, those people are lame balls then for not seeing how lucky they'd be to have you. :hug: One day though you'll find someone that's everything you want and more and it will be happily ever after. I see where you're coming from though. I tend to attract the wrong type in R/L. The last guy was in the Navy, he was rather lovely looking but literally had tumbleweed running through his brain. I can't deal with that sort of thing yo'. I prefer to lust after y'know Max (McElligott from Wolf Gang) and Steve (from Shake Aletti) and numerous other band people. I think these probably would help if I've never met them or spoken to them though. They seem to real when I've met them. :thumbsup: That's a good thing for certain. They're amazing! No I understand that Dom could stand up for himself if he wanted to and just tell Matt to sit down and shut the fuck up, but sometimes I just feel like he takes it to far. So I get offended that he can do that. There's a bantarr line and sometimes I feel like Matt just trips over it, y'know? But as I said that's my opinion. And yeah, he can do snobby... It has pretty much massacred every other 'seeing someone/relationship' I've had. I expect to meet someone that looks like a band member, has some musical talent and is rather intelligent. Wow. Glasto solo? I don't think I could be brave enough for that :lol: I think having someone there in the same vicinity is nice because if you have no band to see you can hang around with someone. At Reading, I was by myself. It was alright for when the bands were on, but when there was nothing going on I got really bored. And Benicassim is certainly a festival you need friends with you for. Otherwise the day wait for bands is hell (considering nothing started until 6pm)

^^By off, I mean that I don't like Matt when he takes the Dom being gay thing too far. He can be a bit vicious at times imo.

I don't think there is a lot of things running off it straight off. Just MSN, but I guess something else may automatically start up. It's just weird that it does it sometimes and then not others. Yeah, it still has warranty so I should be able to get it repaired if it is something else. I have moved it and the problem persists. I'm going to look at cleaning the fan though to see if it's that. :( Nope, Windows 7 :P

Impossible/improbable. Teh computer is only a few months old and there's 90% of my harddrive left. It just sporadically freezes and then won't turn back on afterwards. :stunned:
