  1. you have to wait till you see the full thing? that's only a 30 second clip and i think it's already the funniest video they've done. looking forward to seeing it in full now
  2. well it's definitely not an mtv premier thing. don't think mtv have done that for a long time. play music videos i mean, not a premier haha. but it'll be a youtube thing starting from snowpatrol.com most likely and then on all music channels after that.
  3. Good to see they're making up for their blunder the other day. Also the moderator of the fantasy league mini league would probably want to look at this and see if they want to make the change with points. Anyway here's the link and story. http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2421213,00.html Fantasy Premier League - An Apology A statement has been issued regarding the Fantasy Premier League game. As some of you are aware, many fans trying to access Fantasy Premier League on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning will have experienced problems logging in or registering teams prior to the Gameweek 1 deadline. ‪ While the demand reached unprecedented levels on Saturday morning, we fell short of the standards you expect from the world's biggest fantasy football game and make no excuses for what was both a frustrating and disappointing experience ahead of the new season. For this we apologise unreservedly. TECHNICAL ISSUE Our technical teams have been working throughout the weekend to ensure the technical issue that led to the problems experienced by users are dealt with. Work also continues to improve the quality of your experience with additional steps taken in the game itself that enable you to: ‪1. Receive unlimited transfers No points will be deducted for any transfers you make up to the Gameweek 2 deadline (11:30 BST on Saturday 20th August 2011). If you have already made transfers and had points deducted, these will be restored to your overall total by midnight on Tuesday 16th August 2011. If you have already opted to play your wildcard, this too will be restored at the same time. ‪2. Opt to start mini-league scoring at Gameweek 2 The option is available to all mini-league administrators to start the scoring from Gameweek 2. Go to 'Leagues' > 'League name' > 'Administer' > Select 'Gameweek 2' in 'Scoring Starts' drop-down menu and click 'Update league details'. ‪3. Win a VIP trip to watch Man Utd v Chelsea The manager of the team that accumulates the most points in Gameweeks 2, 3 & 4 will win a VIP trip for two to watch Man Utd v Chelsea on Sunday 18th September 2011 . The prize includes all transport, two nights' accommodation, match tickets, pre-match hospitality and £250 spending money. If there is a tie between teams, the team with the fewest transfers between Gameweeks 2-4 will win the trip. In the event of a further tie, the winner will be selected at random. ‪4. Win a new monthly prize - iPad2 Each monthly winner of Fantasy Premier League 2011/12 will be able to choose between receiving an iPad2 or the current monthly prize (replica shirt, iPod nano & digital camera). The runner-up will then receive whichever prize is not claimed by the monthly winner. ISOLATED CASE ‪Having monitored many of the comments that have been posted on message boards, via blogs, in forums and on social networks, we hope the following additional points will also help clarify some of the queries raised: ∙ Fantasy Premier League is still run by the same provider. A redesign was required in order to incorporate new features and in order to maintain consistency with the next version of the Premier League's official site but the problems are not related to the new look. ∙ EA SPORTS sponsor the official match statistics across the Premier League website and were not involved in the rebuild of this season's Fantasy Premier League game nor responsible in any way for the issues suffered by users over the weekend. ∙ The login/registration system had to be upgraded during the summer - this service is delivered by a new third party provider and is the most significant change from previous seasons. ∙ The live updates will be functioning for Gameweek 2. ∙ All league standings will be updated after each points update as per previous seasons. The single update for Gameweek 1 was an isolated case. ∙ If you have problems logging in, please try resetting your password by entering your email address on this page: https://users.premierleague.com/PremierUser/login/reset_password.html. You'll be emailed a new password to use that you can change to something more memorable once you've logged in by visiting 'My Account'. If you are not receiving the password reminder, please check your Junk folder in your email inbox and add [email protected] to your Mailing List to ensure that the email arrives in your inbox. ∙ Please continue to email [email protected] with any issues you experience on the site with login, points updates etc. ‪Again, we are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused and diminished enjoyment of Fantasy Premier League. We are confident that the measures in place will prevent any repeat of the issues players of Fantasy Premier League encountered at the weekend and hope you are looking forward to another exciting season as much as we are.
  4. it'll probably be like a youtube release and it'll be up on the site or something. If not then i'm sure someone one in our time zone will find a way to share it with the rest of you
  5. Thanks :D Fallen Empires sounds like it'll be awesome and My Brothers and I'm Ready seem very laid back but not in a Set Down Your Glass/Planets Bend Between Us kind of way. Can't wait for the new album!
  6. For me United won the league because Van Der Sar played out of his skin all season long. They also depended on other teams losing quite a bit too and with Van Der Sar gone I think it'll open up the title race more this year. From a neutral point of view I love the inconsistency, it spices things up instead of a boring predictable season by the end of November. I still think United will win the league this season but it'll be one of the hardest seasons for them yet.
  7. for me the best new player would be Enrique. He made some really good tackles yesterday and looked really into the game. I agree that our fitness isn't good enough but maybe that's down to friendlies, pre season in asia and the copa america. I think Arsenal are doomed to be honest, I think this will disrupt the squad to much and will be a distraction for them throughout the season. Man city will do well this season. Swansea will be no problem for them, an easy 3-0 win I think. If things aren't working out then yeah I can see Mancini sacked by Christmas too
  8. Look at Kings Of Leon's album Come Around Sundown last year it leaked about 3 weeks before it's release. Yes I downloaded it but then on the day of release I went out and bought the CD. If Mylo Xyloto leaks I won't download it. We've waited too long and the band have put too much effort into this for us as they keep saying. I'll pre-order the pop up version and patiently wait till October 24th.
  9. So what do people think of day one of the new Premier League season then? As a Liverpool fan I think it was a good starting point for us with a new squad and in that first half we showed a lot of potential. Anyway I can see us returning to the top 4 this year, United winning the league and Man City 2nd, Arsenal 5th/6th. It'll be a good season though and I look forward to more of it :D
  10. Oh I forgot the tracklisting and link. Here it is anyway for anyone that wants to give it a listen :) The Link http://www.mediafire.com/?ga5484cj6oda1wv There's Always Two Sides To A Story The Tracklist 1. The Fix (Feat. 11. I'm your mixtape maker. Sorry it wasn't your kind of thing :/ Yes this is Elbow with Richard Hawley, I thought it'd be a good song to start of with because of the circus like music. It's some what old, from 2004. It's Embrace and the song is called Looking As You Are. I've been listening to this album a lot lately which is called Out Of Nothing, this also has Gravity on it that Chris Martin wrote. And as you said it's nice and simple. I had one this bands songs on the last exchange and Violet wasn't a fan of them either. This is an Irish band called Fight Like Apes, the song is Pull Off Your Arms And Let's Play In Your Blood I first heard this song on a British energy supplier advert a few years back and thought it was really cool and nice This is one of my favourite bands and also one of my favourite songs. But then again softer music isn't for everyone. This is Ham Sandwich and the song is Ants This is The Vaccines and the song is All In White. They're a new British band and have gained massive popularity here this year. This is my favourite song of the album, hope you grow to like them, they've plenty of other good songs on their album. This is a band called The Frames. I don't know much about the them but the album is all like this song, nice and chilled. This is called Fighting On The Stairs That's fine, I should've looked more into your tastes on Last.FM. This is an acoustic version of Noah And The Whale's song Rocks And Daggers Bombay Bicycle Club I think seem to be a very Marmitey band, you either love them or hate them. This is taken from their second album Flaws which is all acoustic, the song is Jewel This is another Irish band called Villagers. They've had a good year last year with their debut album, again this is all the stuff i'm into, acoustic and laid back stuff. Still love a lot of livelier as you see next with Foo Fighters. You said it all really. I think that this is one of the best acoustic versions of a song ever. Great band, great song. I know nothing about this band at all. This song is taken from a collaboration album called Dark Was The Night. The song is Sleepless by The Decemberists This is José González, I'd recommend his album but now i'm guessing it wouldn't be worth while haha. The song is Broken Arrows. I discovered this band on of all places Yahoo. There was this stupid piece on what a woman would look like with a years worth of make-up on. The video of it had one of their songs on (which are all instrumental by the way). I went to their site and their EP is a pay what you want one. I did pay for it because I felt guilty getting it for free haha. The name of them is very long and all their songs have really long titles. Anyway They're called All shall be well (and all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well) and the song is There will always be at least a thousand things you don't know Well I'm glad you got something out of it anyway. Thank you for giving it a decent review too instead of completely disregarding it which would've been easier to do.
  12. http://news.qthemusic.com/2011/08/coldplay_pay_tribute_to_brian.html Q just put this on twitter about the new album
  13. where's everyone getting these tracklistings from?
  14. soooo excited, love the artwork and I am definitely getting the pop up version. really can't wait and i'm looking forward to hearing Paradise, glad it's brand new and not one from the festivals. damn this has made my day :D
  15. Great news! :D although i'd rather the release date than the artwork but then again beggars can't be choosers, we're finally getting real details on the new album
  16. I hate to be pessimistic but I think Chris was just guessing in that interview. As much as I'd love an announcement on the new album, I can't see it happening until at least the end of the month. I hope I'm wrong but that's my view on the situation. :/
  17. I see what you mean about the Twilight series. It's my sister who's obsessed with it and I watched the first film when she had it on TV one day, I like that film but as you said the crowd following of it and I think it's all over hyped too. And Track 8 was a dude? He really sounds like a girl in that song lol. But seriously thanks again for an awesome mixtape. I'll be checking out all them bands some more.
  18. FYI, saw them last month at Oxegen, their new stuff is awesome, looking forward to the new album :D
  19. that was beautiful. And i agree that if they carry this sound onto the new album then it's going to be awesome. Gary's voice seems to mature and improve with every new album
  20. i know it's been less than a day since i posted my review but it is killing me to know who made my tape and what the tracklisting is, especially when everyone is getting reviews and tracklistings. Now i'm acting like a spoilt child at christmas ha
