i think the live version is so much better than the studio version. It's the first song from this era that I really don't like and although I do think there's an improvement on the live version it's not enough to change my mind.

Can't wait!!! :D it really has made my day and as much as i'm looking forward to MX i'm doubly excited for Fallen Empires. The artwork is so cool as well. I'm pre-ordering mine on Wednesday and can't wait to see them up in Dublin. Ooooooooh i'm so excited :D

Well once the album is out I reckon it'll be about 2-3 weeks after the album release that we'll get details of the tour and ticket release details. Once that's sold out which would be within a week most likely what else do the band have to promote except for another single? There'll be a lot of people on Facebook who like Coldplay that'll see the limited edition version on the Coldplay page and then say to their parents I want that for Christmas and parents will see it as a good buy. From what I know when it comes to asking for presents you ask for things you either wouldn't pay for yourself or from that one shop you've been meaning to go into or visit online but just never had a justifiable reason to do so. That's why I think 3 weeks before Christmas that's being released. Also this is the first time Coldplay have released a 'limited edition' album unless there's one I don't know about. I agree about their freedom of the music they write and record because EMI probably think (using the safety words, in my opinion) that if there was anything wrong with the album Eno would 'guide them' back on track. Just out of curiosity did Coldplay ever have a mentor or something similar to what Eno has done before VLV?

Sorry, I should've phrased or explained it differently. I meant the way they make Coldplay publicise their music. Do you honestly think it was the bands idea to release ETIAW 3 times? That was pressure from EMI. Another thing that falls into the pressure category is how the album is due in the 3rd week of October but the limited edition version won't be available till December. EMI have pressured or convinced them into not releasing everything on the same day because now they'll be able to make even more money of the album, especially with the run in for Christmas and with fans regardless of their views on MX that'll buy that and the CD anyway.

If Coldplay left EMI and signed with an independent label they would be so much better. Doing things on their own terms, more relaxed conditions and less pressure from the people above them. Maybe when they finish touring MX they might consider moving away from EMI. Coldplay need a change of guidance, attitude and management. Maybe then we'll start to see either a new Coldplay style that's just as impressive as they were at the start or we'll get the old Coldplay back but something needs to happen before they even think about making the next album.

For me I think the music is nice it reminds me of The Lighthouse Family with the song Lifted. The lyrics are just poor, really poor for what Coldplay can and have produced in the past. I think MTM would be better on the album instead of Paradise but I don't think it would ever get the recognition it would deserve from the music world. The Rhianna colab has made me not like POC even more. How many times will Chris have to make friends from the R&B/Hip Hop world to realise that they don't blend well together. Wether it's Eno, EMI, Chris's friends influences or Coldplay themselves that have brought on such a massive change in their style, we just have to embrace this era and enjoy the good tracks that are on MX (which is all the live ones from the summer in my opinion.) Fingers crossed they'll try to go back to the Parachutes/AROBTTH days for LP6 like they said they planned to do for this album.

See what i think is stupid is that Snow Patrol released a 'limited edition' version of Up To Now and that came out the same day as the normal version. Also i use the term limited edition very loosely as it's still on sale nearly two years after it came out.

:O really? i'm surprised, it'd be such a good opener or closer for the album with it's powerfulness. I'm not surprised about My Brothers really it has a Snow Patrol B-Side feel to it in my opinion. By the way I signed up to TTB a couple of months ago and they said I had to wait for my account to be authorised. I'm still waiting and was wondering did you have a long wait to start going on the forum or is there something else going on?

they'll definitely do it. Just look at what's on the EP. 1st of all you've got Called Out In The Dark and that's obviously on the album. Then there's Fallen Empires so that's bound to be on the album considering it is called Fallen Empires. The other 2 I doubt will be on the album though. Really looking forward to this album and can't wait to see the boys live again :)

maybe not on Fallen Empires but what about previous songs like 'Make Love To Me Forever' 'Never Gonna Fall In Love Again' 'You Are My Joy' 'You're All I Have' and 'You Could Be Happy' They're hardly the manliest song titles in the world.
