~*~ The Official Will Champion Appreciation Thread ~*~
I'm guessing from the 2007 calendar. There are a few copies on amazon, but the description only shows the cover so I can't tell for sure. But now I'm going through the Penny Howle gallery here, and there's quite a few pictures of Will...

The post from which I bumped the picture mentioned that it was from their calendar. Not sure which year that was, though. I'd like to find one. :wacky:

Dear David Cameron
Smarmy. I love that word, almost as much as "snarky".

What should go first?
Ooh, I'm not sure, wish I could help you. Since she was so defensive about it, I'm guessing that happens quite often. If it should be considered historical, and the "30% rule" applies, how is the 30% determined? Does the owner get to pick which 30%? If so, maybe you were on the other 70% and that's why she was upset. I don't know... good question, though.

Coldplay End of Decade Clearout Sale (catalogue discussion pg43 onwards, winning item pics pg151 onw
From my understanding... YES. On the declaration info, when they saw that the contents of the package was "one jacket" and the corresponding value was over $7,000 (I think, from looking at the auction summary posted earlier in this thread), it threw up oodles of red flags, so BOTH packages were held up. Given this, I'm shocked that I didn't have more problems; my package was held up across the pond, but not over here. I feel so bad for Amanda ... hopefully she will have some good news by the end of the week.

Okay, I think I've changed my mind, I'm not gonna call it Jonny. Considering that the black Viva guitar was named Blacky, I'm going to say that your wood-finish guitar is named... WOODY. :laugh3: I'm awesome. :smug:

Dear David Cameron

Secret/Free concert tickets??
Oh, that's cool! I wasn't on here either at that time. That would be awesome if they did something similar whenever LP5 comes out.

And we're still assuming it's the real deal... never been played = have no clue what's really on it.

What's the weather like today in your town?
Chilly, rainy, and very windy. There was absolutely no point in me doing my hair this morning.

Okay, now I don't feel so bad for procrastinating on getting my display case. There's one last little piece I'm waiting for, but yeah, the delay is almost entirely on my end. I'll also post pics once everything is all together. Oz, I hardly have any butterflies, otherwise I'd give you some. You may want to consider starting a thread to ask people donate. Not everyone on the forum looks at this thread, so if you start a thread with the title "I NEED YOUR BUTTERFLIES" or something catchy like that, and explain why you need them, it might get some attention (and hence, donations). :flutterby:

The description of the cd says it's never been played... so how do we know what's REALLY on it, if the seller hasn't even played it? The picture isn't even a picture of the item, it's just a standard picture that anyone can find online. And from the person's history, although they've been on ebay since 2007, they weren't selling right from the start. Plus, they only starting selling "rare" cds and dvds in the past few months. Hmmm... It will be interesting to see how much it eventually sells for.

Can I ask a stupid question... how do we know it's not a fake?

Guy's Art Project: Who's going to participate?
So, I decided to sort through a few of the pictures I got last weekend at the antique shop. One of the items was a kind of "grab bag" of small (wallet-size) pictures, for only a dollar. I didn't go through them while I was at the store, so last night I looked inside. I noticed in the middle there were a few folded pieces of paper. I'm not exactly sure what these are, but they look like "crib notes" or a cheat sheet or study notes for some sort of chemistry class. There's no date on them, but based on the pictures in the bag I'm guessing the early 1900s. :stunned:
