  1. Yay, somebody knows! Have you been touched by his noodly appendage? Today is Earth Day... keep in mind that global warming is directly related to the decline in the number of pirates. Save a pirate!

That outfit is made for only one kind of baby... a BuMaby :baby:
  5. I will be there the entire time, from the 5th to the 14th. Actually, I plan to arrive on the 4th to be on the safe side, to account for any travel delays (hopefully nothing big though, like, umm, a volcano :freak:). I am also scheduled to stay at the Palmer's Lodge hostel, and am currently placed in the 6-bed female dorm.
  6. Will's trying to see where his thread went... Oh, THERE it is!... on page 2! :dozey:
  7. Since he's into photography, maybe he'll use the pictures he receives and try to "recreate" them in some way, put the old and new pictures side-by-side... Just a thought. Really I have no idea. We'll just have to wait and see.
  8. I just remembered something that my parents told me I used to say when I was really young. I would call the moon and the clouds "the moot and the mokes". 'Mokes' being my take on smoke, since that's what the clouds looked like. :freak:
  9. ^ this I mean, they didn't call LP4 "The Bakery". I doubt they'll name LP5 after their new studio.
  10. When I was in high school, at the end of my senior year our physics class made a list of about 20 words that our physics teacher often pronounced incorrectly. We gave him the list so that the students could return the favor and teach him something. I don't remember the whole list, but the ones that stick out in my mind are: rollercoaster (he would say rollycoaster) nuclear (he would say nuculer)

    Both :freak:
  12. I probably will participate, but that's assuming I can actually find some old photos in an antique or thrift shop. So, I don't have anything in mind yet in terms of what kind of photo(s) I might send.
  13. From Wikipedia: Derivation of the name of "cricket" A number of words are thought to be possible sources for the term "cricket". In the earliest known reference to the sport in 1598 (see below), it is called creckett. The name may have been derived from the Middle Dutch krick(-e), meaning a stick; or the Old English cricc or cryce meaning a crutch or staff.[2] Another possible source is the Middle Dutch word krickstoel, meaning a long low stool used for kneeling in church and which resembled the long low wicket with two stumps used in early cricket. According to Heiner Gillmeister, a European language expert of Bonn University, "cricket" derives from the Middle Dutch met de (krik ket)sen (i.e., "with the stick chase"), which also suggests a Dutch connection in the game's origin. It is more likely that the terminology of cricket was based on words in use in south east England at the time and, given trade connections with the County of Flanders, especially in the 15th century when it belonged to the Duchy of Burgundy, many Middle Dutch[3] words found their way into southern English dialects.[4]

2+2 CAN be whatever you want it to be, depending on what mod you are using
  15. Yes, that's very cool... but I'm not sure where I would find pictures that aren't (my) family photos. Maybe at an antique store or something like that?

Agreed. Although most people here are just stating what they believe, I think there were only a couple of posts that actually seemed judgmental.

    True that... which is unfortunate.

Is that really possible though? I mean, isn't agnostic basically "don't know, don't care"? Athiest is definitive. I don't really think you can combine the two. That's like a half-arse atheist.
  19. And the funny thing is... in American "football", you hardly use your feet. :dozey:
