  1. Sig change...
  2. Don't get your hopes up, it's nothing special :p
  3. I am here to educate :sneaky:
  4. Well it depends on where you live. For a start I'd disagree with your suggestions for 90's in this country, but that is likely to be because they are American. In truth though, most people in this country don't know who Pearl Jam are. Here 90's was Brit Pop. Oasis and Blur and then also other bands like Massive Attack, Portishead, then Aphex Twin, then Primal Scream, . So it depends massively on where you live and what you listen to. I don't believe we can answer 2010-2020 because so many bands fade away so easily, even after amazing first, or first two albums, such as The Strokes and Kings of Leon (though both can have the start of the last decade for me). As has been mentioned I don't think Arctic Monkey's will keep it up and they were seen as the best new band for aaaaaaaages. My guesses on current success would be Adele (unfortunately) 2000-2010 I'll say Radiohead (even though in the mainstream they are more of a 90's band, their way of releasing music may be remembered), Arcade Fire (who seem to be on their way out creatively but may form a nice bond with the mainstream a la Kings Of Leon), The White Stripes, Libertines (despite their lack of material they will be remembered for the stories if not anything else), Gorillaz (due to the unusual nature of their 'members'), Kanye West, Eminem and Jay-Z (and possibly even Snoop Dogg, though I'm unsure of how much people associate him with the 90's, I know I do) for rap, pop will have Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga (possibly for her outfits but unlikely for her music) and Rihanna. I think that decade will be where the likes of Radiohead, Beck, Portishead, Massive Attack and Bjork made themselves 'iconic' for longevity, consistency and innovation, even though they each began and released some of their best work (the mainstream may argue) in the 90's. It's quite hard to do this without bias.
  5. Man City will win. They aren't going to take it for granted due to Stokes good form and are more likely to be able to handle their style of play in comparison to Arsenal.
  6. Which has now prompted this: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/may/12/manchester-city-bluffers-guide?CMP=twt_gu
  7. Is it weird that that made more sense than Mark's posts in this thread?
  8. http://mcfc.co.uk/News/FA-Cup-countdown/2011/May/Bluffers-guide-to-City How embarrassing.
  9. I don't think he's doing Radiohead references either but I Might Be Wrong. I know, I know, second outing for that one, don't get your Knives Out. I Will try to keep repetition down to a minimum.
  10. You got a lot ahead of ya kid so don't you worry. I said that in an American accent. I can't tell you what dialect.
  11. Nice one!! I hope that happens. There are a lot of stupid and illogical people around, never mind that those kind of people tend to cling on to first impressions far too much and don't respond well to people who are in any way different. This is why school is hard.
  12. I'd like to see Bellamy join Cardiff and play in the Prem again. But Swansea would be my choice. Ian, what do you think the mood will be like in Manchester on Saturday if the win the league? I'm supposed to be going out there but I don't wanna get caught up in anything.
  13. Some are pointless indeed, but the pointlessness is what makes it a better gesture, providing they appear at least a little genuine and don't seem sarcastic. I do see your point though.
  14. Haha, manners are not pointless to others, which is the main thing behind it. And no, you do not win, but you do not lose.
  15. Tammi, look back in the thread and accept my ramming a playlist down your throat!
  16. It might depend how you say it.
  17. Whenever I'm asked that question, or a similar variant, I am forced to respond with "I came here to tell you about the rhythms of the universe...." Today I learned that in some places when you change your name you can both take completely new last names of your choice, instead of taking your partners name or both keeping your name the same.
  18. This thread could possibly be complete if I could actually see the cat pic Mark posted.
  19. I wouldn't mind Swansea or Cardiff getting into the Premiership. Burnley have been in, so it's already been tainted.
  20. Sweet, that'd be great. I'd be interested in both of those.
  21. Yeah, I think he has had a stroke.
  22. If you suggest somebody has had a stroke straight after a nonsensical post most people do not normally think it's a cat reference.
  23. Well since I was the person who used it, in this context it was, yes.
  24. It still doesn't = cat. It's merely a vague reference.
  25. Well it was either a reference to masturbation or the medical condition, Mark. You've had too many pussy references recently so I was trying to keep you away from those.
