  1. Haha, booooooo, it's thinking like this that stops those in power doing anything other than what will benefit them in the short time they are in power.
  2. That's a decent shout.
  3. Sweet.
  4. To play with your Barbie Dolls?
  5. Ah crap. Virtual love to Southern Spain!
  6. I don't know what happened to this thread but it makes me wanna Disappear Completely from the lounge and go to another section, where Everything is In Its Right Place. Where You don't have to constantly Prove Yourself, in fear of being a Let Down and can instead Just Bloom naturally within the confines of this fragile House Of Cards. All I Need is somewhere I can let off some steam without fears of a Blow Out. Where I can be open and honest without judgement, like being Nude In A Glasshouse whilst at the same time not turning into some kind of Paranoid Android, worried about what the others will think. I Can't keep Climbing Up The Walls and I don't mean to Sulk, but I want to Go To Sleep at night feeling like coming on here was a positive experience. Fortunately, I'm an Optimistic guy and don't feel In Limbo when I'm here. I Might Be Wrong, but this is a special place and Little By Little makes that difference I crave. I guess I'm Lucky.
  7. I honestly think the size of America is one of the problems. You've spread yourself too thin and therefore there is fuck all to do (or at least you think so) without travelling since that's what you've been used to for as long as posters on this board will remember. I don't like being in a car longer than an hour maximum. If it's longer than that and it's not for something amazing then I'll just do something else. For things like work then it's obviously different.
  8. It'd be better to see them write each section as a whole song. It just kind of seems gimmicky. First time it was done fair enough, but it's dated now. The likes of Paranoid Android are much better since they fit and I wouldn't class it as three separate songs or anything, even though it started out that way. The only medley style song I like is Street Hassle by Lou Reed. I see it as more of a few different movements though, rather than a song. I don't think A Day In The Life fits together all that well.
  9. Medleys are the worst thing known to music. I'm sure they spawn from performers having seizures due to too many flash cameras at live events knocking them out of sync.
  10. I'll point out that the title of the thread was the title of the article. It's not me having a go at anyone. This part made me think they need to perhaps concentrate on some 'greener' ways of enjoying life:
  11. Can we ban this guy?
  12. Most of my friends have cats, so I can't, unfortunately. I'm allergic to dust too, and as I have just finished having a big tidy in my room for the first time in a year (getting rid of lots of paper and magazines etc) I now have a cold.
  13. I've never been a fan of 'A Day In The Life' in that sense (though I do like it in a general sense, I just don't see it as a song writing feat), I see it as simply a few ideas thrown up and that's what stuck. Beatles would be up there though with things like 'In My Life' and 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. 'Hope There's Someone' by Antony & The Johnsons and 'The Man Who Sold The World' and 'Quicksand' by David Bowie stand out too.

  15. How much of the 160gb's have you filled up, Crestoids?
  16. Here's a random 'Bands From Manchester' playlist. http://open.spotify.com/user/braddock28/playlist/05uzFwW3sGnFCHxHO6OTmw
  17. I'm jealous that they are employed.
  18. He's hit and miss, and it annoys me when he finishes his program on too high a note. Can be kind of baffling when you're waiting for the punchline. I'm all for a positive ending but he spends over a minute on it and it's detached from most of the rest of the stuff he's been talking about.
  19. On the spot means you have a certain amount of time to pay. Parking fines are classed as on the spot. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/2187565.stm
  20. No. No. There's more to him than film and standup, though his standup is good. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1uhmnNnmL8]YouTube - Russell Brand - The Secret Police Mans Ball[/ame]
  21. Sweet. Toast is underrated. I'm listening to podcasts from 2006, and all of a sudden it just randomly sped up so it's like listening to the chipmonks. Waiting for that to rectify itself. It's a Russell Brand radio show, and he talks fast anyway.
