RIP Sir Norman Wisdom
If you posted more regularly you would know, but don't worry, it's nothing interesting. Aww shucks, bang goes my erection.

RIP Sir Norman Wisdom
I could have guessed that was your name. I love you man.

Antony & The Johnsons
Yeah, that's sorted it! And it turns out I like Christina's Farm more, and not Salt Silver Oxygen haha. Though that isn't bad.

RIP Sir Norman Wisdom
No, you haven't. That's christopher Martin. I love that man.

Antony & The Johnsons
Oh, and I don't know if this is the same for others but for Julia and I the last two songs on those streams are the same, which means I'm missing one. Anybody know anything about it?

Antony & The Johnsons
Cheers for the link. I really like The Spirit Was Gone and Salt Silver Oxygen. Beautiful. It seems like for this album he's moved away from the more structured song-writing of The Crying Light to a bit more ambience for the majority of this piece of work, and whilst I don't think I will become as attached to this as his previous album it is a welcome offering.

Do you think $75 million will help Dave Grohl forget Jake Shear's nuts?
Haha, when were those pics taken?

Favorite Canadian Band...if you have one
I just listened to Hey Rosetta! for the first time after seeing Briggins mentioning them in another thread and I liked them. So far I have only heard We Made A Pact, but I'm looking forward to hearing more. Anybody have any suggestions?

Antony & The Johnsons
OK, I apologise to everybody reading for posting off topic, especially in a thread which has so few posts as it is, but Dejan, how on earth can you like such beautiful music such as Arcade Fire and Antony & The Johnsons when you clearly have so many anger issues? I think it is good that those bands can clearly appeal to the savage as well as the intellectuals and the serene, but I can't help but wonder what it is exactly that you take from these bands. Once again, apologies for posting off topic and I will leave it at that.

I'll certainly be looking into that thread.

Antony & The Johnsons
Oh yeah, I remember from the Arcade Fire thread that you have a fascination with other male users and your testicles. How strange. Anyway, given Antony makes such beautiful music it would be a shame to taint the thread with juvenile and idiotic bickering. I've listened to the first few tracks of the stream you posted and it's decent. So far there is nothing I would regard as special, but it could well be a grower. Very nice background music to my afternoon. There is of course plenty more for me to hear from these streams. Does anybody have any information about these recordings? I didn't realise there was anything planned for release.

Thanks Ian! Is there a Canadian Music Thread on this board guys?

Antony & The Johnsons
:laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: Reported. Seriously, someone ban him. This isn't OK.

The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Indeed. The Dutch banning is unusual though. I'm not saying I disagree with what they have done but it's a strange one. I respect them for it though.

Good shout. I've never given the World Music section much of a chance. Cheers for the heads-up Briggins! I'm listening now. Also, cheers to Gloaming who introduced me to Karkwa. I had seen their name on here but hadn't listened and he sent me a link. Edit: I really like Ma Tete A Off by Marie-Pierre Arthur

After recently getting into Serge Gainsbourg my eyes have recently been opened to French music. I know a little from CocoRosie's work with Spleen, a beatboxer/rapper who appears in some of their songs, but I had dismissed it given the language barrier. Pure ignorance on my behalf considering I like Sigur Ros and do not understand what they say, so there is no reason why I cannot listen to beautiful French music as well. I really hope this band gets the recognition they deserve now, and that their music can become more widely available for people. I know that the music stores around here don't have francophone sections. Looks like I have a lot of exploring to do.

What have you learned today?
Karkwa have a fantastic new album. Not that I had heard any of their previous ones. Looks like I'll have to do some hunting.

That's so weird, to say the thread which has mentioned them hasn't been posted in for like a week!
