Another reason I always have mine on vibrate is the number of people who have had their earphones in and missed their call and it has played for ages in public and been really annoying. Eventually somebody has to tap them on the shoulder and tell them it's ringing. I don't want to be that person. My alarm for waking up used to be Everything In It's Right Place. Now the only song I have on that isn't default is Pyramid Song.

I used to speak basic German quite well. I got a B at high school in my German exams, but ever since then I haven't really used it. Julia was speaking German to me the other week and I picked up most of it (though she wasn't saying anything really difficult). I'm going on a refresher course at some point soon though and if I live there for a while I'm sure I'll have no problem. I always found German a lot easier than French, but that may be due to the teachers I had, and also the disruptive nature of my classmates for French.

Anyone can post here providing they stick to discussing the content of the arguments for and against DADT. Obviously free flowing discussion on other subjects is fine, but if people start arguing about something which isn't connected to what this thread is about then I'll temporarily stick some people (at my own discretion - not everybody involved, but the trouble makers) on ignore so they can't post in my threads. Nobody has done anything wrong though and I'm sure it will stay that way. The only person who can't post in here (unless I am mistaken) is Dfit00 since I have him on ignore.

Yes. The problem is not with the homosexuals. It is with those who cannot accept them.

Indeed. The last video was discussed to death but this one is new and as you said good points were raised. Points which could be of value to debate. Therefore the video is fine. Any discussion about Lady Gaga herself, rather than the points she raised, are best avoided though as some people will simply use it as an excuse to hijack the thread.

I look forward to seeing them! If Ireland was east I'd definitely go, then at least I'd have an English speaking country to visit. Ireland will be a place to visit in the future.

So sorry I missed replying to this post, and it's such a long one! I remember reading it though, I could have sworn I had replied. Yes, your help would be fantastic! And you are so lucky to have been to all of those countries :cool: Italy was not top of my list at the start but after the glowing reviews on here it is rising well up the list. Are there any activities you would recommend from experience?
