For the 70th time? :freak: I'm glad I finally read it then, because I kinda thought you were just insulting anyone liking the song. I totally understand the 1st poster's point. Fangirls are (really) annoying but I don't think there are so many of them and I think anti-fangirls are maybe a bit over anti-acting here, and the whole thing is very tiring. And I'll just add that a lot of people who voted 0 just did it because "it's Coldplay" too. What else then? I'm on your side but you should avoid this.

Thanks for everything guys :) I'm loving the '30s then 1 min and 30s' new song, it sounds incredible. I don't know about HLH, it just didn't make me feel anything. But it'll probably change with tomorrow's stream. But the lights are INCREDIBLE and ETIAW sounds really cool live, I love how Chris is really enjoying it :D

Thanks for spreading the news and pics guys :) Remember Coldplay's Myspace... Chris himself wrote it : they play 'very heavy soft rock'. It's amazing to see how many people are surprised by this new 'pop touch'. There was a bigger gap between X&Y and VLV than between VLV and ETIAW.

If they said so, of course. Plus it fits the White Rose Movement theme, and the sound is weird enough... And the people saying that's it's not gonna be on the album are mostly the ones who didn't like it.

Who cares as long as people really like it? If you prefer songs with patterns, that's fine, and I'm on your side. But if people like music without patterns, just let them like it.

I see what you mean, it's a totally valid opinion to me, but I really feel like it's the opposite. Hard to explain but I'll try They're once again proving us that the most important thing for them is to surprise people, and not to be where they're expected. That's what they learned with X&Y... And changing, even if it is for something you'd say more mainstream, is a risk, and I think that it's one of the most risky things they could have done (going back to a AROBTTH sound and keeping a VLV sound would have been 2 safer bets). And that move from them is saying that maybe there are good things in mainstream too, and that we should stop seeing a frontier between some kind of popular music and some kind of elitist music, it's just making us pretentious. I really like that kind of message, so this is also why I'm defending them here!

Just think about this : releasing a song like this one, knowing that half of the people will say that it's lame, that it's sucking pop/dance etc but still releasing it and proudly saying to the world 'F*ck you, this our new song, that's what we want and we like it'... That needs bravery. Releasing a 'normal' rock song is a safe thing to do. Trying new things and taking risks, that's where the guts are.

Predictible, yeah, right. I totally saw the 'I Go To Rio' sample and the disco vibe and the 'irish' guitar riff coming. Totally.

It's just that some journalist asked Chris : Is LP5 gonna have a Viva vibe or something?, and he replied with something like : We're always trying to make new, different stuff but since it's an another album made by the same people, it could look like Viva's brother, or or a cousin.

Because if I try to sum it up, the song : -fits in an album about street art and UFOs, and is the last song -has country in it -has a 'dance' vibe -can be seen as a mix between VLV and LIJ but has a different vibe from the Viva Era -and still is bloody awesome. Seriously. WTF?
