Haha je me souviens d'avoir fait ça avec tout l'album Viva la Vida (je l'ai écouté avec quelques mois de retard). Life in Technicolor a commencé, la mélodie a retenti une première fois, puis une deuxième, puis une troisième... Et là je me souviens avoir fait un graaaand sourire :D

Je pensais pas pouvoir être aussi impatient, je pensais vraiment avoir du recul, mais non je compte les heures quoi :freak: Vous allez l'écouter à la radio? J'attendrai perso 5 min le temps de la télécharger, de la mettre sur mon iPod et de m'allonger confortablement avec le casque sur les oreilles :D :D

Bonsoir tout le monde :) Est-ce que quelqu'un aurait compris comment le single va être lancé? 12PM BST ça veut dire midi ou minuit? Si minuit, minuit entre jeudi et vendredi ou entre vendredi et samedi? J'ai cherché un peu sur le net mais tout le monde s'embrouille :thinking:

I think Coldplay's message is that you really should and try to look at what those artists do - and at the end of the day, even if you still don't like them, you'll at least know a little bit more of their universe. That's another, more selfish, point of view. But even if that was the original intention -and I really doubt that, I think the very first intention was that they were just glad to make some music with people they really love-, "less homogeneous and less stereotyped" is a very good thing!

Oh well maybe 'culture' isn't the right word in english but... it's like the things they did with Jay-Z and Kanye West. I guess that a huge majority of people listening to Coldplay don't give a sh*t about hip hop, just think it s*cks, and won't ever try to listen to some of it. By making songs with them, they encourage people to look at those artists too. I feel like Coldplay is trying to open people's minds and curiosities about everything, and I can only applaud them for that. I just totally disagree with people saying that Coldplay is pretentious. The band has defaults, but this one is so NOT one of them. I see what those people mean, I think I can understand why they think so, but I think the band is actually really all the opposite. Would a pretentious, snob band work with rappers, Girls Aloud, Beyonce, make covers of East 17? I hope you see what I mean now ^^ I myself find my post quite pretentious, but it's the best way I've found to explain how I feel. I'd really like some feedback on it, good or bad - just let me know what you think about all this. :)

I don't work this friday but if I did I would probably have taken 5 or 10 minutes off my lunch break to hear the song - and even if I couldn't, waiting 4 hours for a song isn't the worst thing in the world!

Nothing mean here, but I don't really get people saying they don't care about clothes and that it's just about the music. Of course music is way more important but clothes are a way to make the music's world, the album's world 'come true'. They're part of the music's universe and that's why I really care. I like it, and I'm sure I'll find it even better when I'll know the album and how they look like live. What I love the most here is how it is still related to the Viva outfits (and I loved Viva outfits, I'm really gonna miss them!), it's like a huge update, you know :P I don't really like the pictures though. The first one -with Guy holding the spray can- is OK, but the second one? :huh: I don't like the 'staging' (can you say that for a picture?), the light, the colours, their faces... Maybe I'll understand it when the album comes out. Now I can't wait for Liam Gallagher's reaction.

Me too in a sense, but I really don't think it is a good thing. Let's hope we won't have to do this.

The most mind-blowing moment won't be the release of the single. It'll be after the release, when we'll look back at those videos and just finally know what the fuck they were all about! :lol:

I basically agreed with what you said but I really don't think they write their lyrics thinking that they need to "sound like themselves", it doesn't make sense to me. You don't make anything new by trying to do the same things again... and since Viva, they're all about moving on, changing.
