  1. ^^ Not a big fan either but for some unknown reason I keep the albums in my library... ps for me too! I mean Community + Paintball + Josh Holloway -mentioning Coldplay-, how cool is that? Can't wait for the third season!
  2. I was walking in town, and a shoe store was playing ETIAW on the radio, you could hear Jonny's part from the street. So I stayed there for a few seconds, checking the shoes :blank:
  3. Well of course I don't know every artwork, for singles etc  But it's an endless list on both sides! Although, I agree, there are lots of musicians who use pictures. Right now for the non-users I'm thinking of Hard-Fi, Elbow, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, The Chemical Brothers, Radiohead -if a Radiohead geek comes here he'll probably be able to confirm-... That's actually interesting, I'll open iTunes + Wikipedia and check that out :D ps hahahaha thank you :D :D :D
  4. Which part of ETIAW did you chose?
  5. The only ones? :shocked2: I could name dozens of artists who don't have pictures of themselves for artwork.
  6. I have an iPhone too and used for a very long time Life in Technicolor ii (of course :D) and the beginning of the instrumental version of Strawberry Swing.
  7. Aside from the joke, GP is seriously confirming us that she's just like us : she can't wait for new stuff and she won't hear things before everybody, and that's the way it should be. Maybe she'll hear the album a few days before its release, but no more than that. She discovered the last new songs at the friends & family gig! She has nothing to do with the making process.
  8. Well maybe it was a little bit too cliché, but I kinda hoped they'd be playing Lovers in Japan... Thanks for sharing :)
  9. Really cool indeed!!! I love how they interpreted the song, in a much better way than the real clip, actually.
  10. I loved that tweet! Brilliant.
  11. Hurts Like Heaven I finally understand the song... it's totally awesome. Incredible lyrics.
  12. Oh nice thank you!
  14. I didn't like at first how 'Mylo Xyloto' sounded, but I have to say I really like the artist(s?) that is/are behind all the links in the front page. Frida Kahlo a few years ago, now this; I wish they shared a little bit more of their 'artists discoveries'. This is totally linked, and awesome stuff. But I do think too that 'Mylo Xyloto' is only the full name of the intro song MX, and that it's possible that they only named this one with this name because it had xylophones in it. Nothing to 'worry' about... Thanks for sharing anyway, even if I'm a bit late.
  15. They played that remix at the iTunes Festival, and it was even more amazing!
  16. This. I have a special affection for ETIAW, I mean: a) it's, to me, an incredible song -and yes, if that debate is still on, I do have a brain and I also like the band's old stuff!- b) it's the first song they released for this new era. It carries a lot of new, fresh air with it. I really wouldn't bother seeing it as LP5's closer. But, indeed, like many people here, I also hope we'll hear A LOT of new songs, and really new, not the songs they played during festivals... except Charlie Brown... They have been working so long, with so many new titles, they just can't re-release Major Minus for example! But if it makes artistically sense to them, the best thing to do is to shut up and just see what kind of new musical journey they prepared for us.
  17. I watched yesterday an episode of the -very- brilliant BBC show Luther, and they used the same building as Coldplay in the ETIAW video. The episode is about -SPOILER- a silly guy who kidnaps a few students and brings them to that building to kill them. I took a few pics It was supposed to be scary, but to see that guy with the mask standing where Chris Martin would sing a few weeks later "Cathedrals in my heaaaaaart"... that just totally ruined it and made my day  If anybody wonders where it is, here is what they say about it : the industrial zone Green Valley, on the old Stonewater Price docks.
  18. I do think they have meanings but how could they "be true"?
  19. I logged in and I said is a post of any sense .
  20. This. I just think that if the song is about a real king, it would be Herod the Great. His story is totally consistent with the lyrics! And to me, this cover is the first one to actually mean something, about the album and about the band. The three first ones just had 'a vibe' of the album they were covering, but it was random stuff... This one is, like the album, about life, death, passion... and a revolution implies huge changes. Coldplay's music totally changed with this album, so it's about their revolution too. It really has many levels of interpretation. LOVING IT.
  21. That remix is fantastic! Now, like everybody (I guess), I hope we'll see an official release!
  22. Well Delacroix was known for being a huge Coldplay fan, so maybe it's a private joke or something!

(slightly off topic...) I thought you were from the french part of Switzerland? That's definitely not french.
