  1. Okay, as of right now all PMs replied to... Jason
  2. I have been PMing people this direct link with the pre-sale code. There is flood control, so responding as fast as I can... I can only send one per minute. ;) I don't have time to keep up on this topic, so if you need the code PM me through CPing... (then I know you are a member here) Thanks, Jason
  3. All presale code PMs/requests responded to... Jason
  4. I think 1 vs 2 really only makes a difference in the assigned/numbered seats, as you can probably pick up one stray seat in a row that is closer than if they have to match two adjacent. As noted above, in GA, it would only make a difference if there was just one GA left at that exact time. ;) Jason
  5. Thanks for all the insights on the Nokia. Pre Sale Code (and URL link) sent to blink2814 and Ebs757 via PM... Jason
  6. I would recommend not posting the presale code in this thread, to make it harder for people buying tickets to scalp them. If they Google 'presale' and 'Coldplay', it will probably direct them to this thread... If any member here needs the presale code, send me a private message and I'll send it to you... A couple of tips... I've had experiences in the past with Ticketmaster, which uses "Verified by Visa" if you have a Visa credit card with that feature, where it glitches when using Mozilla Firefox. So if either applies to you, I would recommend using Microsoft Internet Explorer to buy your ticket, because you can get five minutes into the process and not be able to get past that stage, and have to start over (by which time all the tickets will probably be gone). I would recommend hitting CTRL+F5 (hard refresh) on the main Ticketmaster order screen for this event, leading up to 10am. What you choose as far as the options for tickets can be the difference between getting tickets and getting nothing at all, so you should decide ahead of time as best you can. Usually the VIP ones are set off as a distinct option. Then usually there are options by both placement as well as price level. I've found with Ticketmaster that if you choose "Best Available", it usually ranks General Admission highest, even if it isn't the most expensive option, which is kind of weird. May not always be true, but I've bought a lot of tickets recently for different shows, and that seemed to hold true. If you want to try different options at the same time... it is best if you do it on two different devices. If you have two tabs in the same browser, one will usually override the other (same cookie?), and you could lose the better of the two options... I think it you use different brands of browsers on the same computer (have say Firefox in one window and Internet Explorer in another), you get around that (I think they use their own cookies). I have multiple computers and even multiple internet services from different internet providers, so I get completely around that. You can also use your smartphone... Most importantly, keep checking, even a while after 10 am. I think some people "juggle" multiple tickets, and then end up going with one option and abandoning the rest, so those get kicked back out to be offered... so keep checking and even though you may get a null result, 10 minutes later some may be available again. I also wonder if maybe Ticketmaster lets them out in bunches just to level the playing field more (though I don't give them credit for being that compassionate ;))... so if you miss out, I'd just keep trying throughout the day even, up until 10 pm when the pre-sale is over. Also, the expensive VIPs are usually the last to go (due to high cost), so that is always a fallback, as scalpers will probably be selling General Admissions for more than the VIPs anyway... also, a lot of the time with VIPs, you have to show your ID and/or credit card used to buy them at the venue to get the laminate, etc, so scalpers generally don't mess with those... (too much work/risk) It looks like from the maps, the main advantage with the VIP tickets is an unobstructed view... other than that, you get some cool memorabilia and food/drinks (the latter of which isn't worth the premium, to me anyway!). The funny thing is, in the last two I went to (UCLA and Madrid) they promise early entry, but in both cases, let everyone in at the exact same time. Jason
  7. Actually from the Goldenvoice site, when you click to buy tickets, it kicks you out to a Goldenvoice-branded Ticketmaster site, with the $100-$500 price range... http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/2C00482C18B262C2?brand=goldenvoice And I just realized that Ticketmaster does have more venue maps via the pull down menu... ;) Jason
  8. Ticketmaster references a "Goldenvoice" presale. Goldenvoice was involved in the VIP tickets for the Madrid show... so I was guessing the more expensive tickets were for a similar VIP package (included unlimited drinks, a VIP only room with food, etc.). I went to the Goldenvoice website, and there is a link up for ticket sales: http://goldenvoice.com/shows/details/?id=34550 If you look at the venue map on that page, there are actually three maps (instead of just the two on the Ticketmaster page), so I'm guessing that the most expensive tickets are the VIP ones seated in the VIP row on the map, but it's weird that the Goldenvoice cites a ticket price range of $100-$300, and Ticketmaster says $100-$500, though sometimes they play that game where they'll add the $200 onto the $300 tickets as a fee for the food and booze... Jason
  9. Incredible review and awesome website - will be sure to follow you... I see you are seeing the Ting Tings this month - I just got tix to see them in San Francisco in March - we'll have to compare notes... ;) Jason
  10. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and music is about as subjective as it gets... having said that, I just saw Rihanna perform at the O2 in London a few weeks ago, and I thought she was phenomenal. Honestly, as much energy as Chris Martin puts into his live performances, the same is with her - she is incredible, and leaves it all on the stage. Another thing that I noticed is that she is still very grounded, given her mainstream success and popularity (and I feel the same way about Coldplay). There were a few moments where I noticed that she was genuinely moved emotionally by feedback from the crowd, and kind of turned away from the stage to collect herself. I also had an opportunity to meet her after the show, and she is a really nice and sincere person... so it's kind of disappointing to read people here dismissing her here in an unkind way. She is a real person you know... Like I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but you don't have to be mean about it... For me personally, Princess of China is one of my favorite songs off MX. Anyway, I did put a variety of videos I shot at her show on my website, and I don't think I'd say any of them were terrible, even if I didn't like her genre of music. LINK Example... 11. Actually, the two photos in the auction catalog show the two different guitars as well... Jason
  12. If I remember correctly, when the auctions were going, there were two Gibson's Chris used that were painted almost the same, and one was pictured in the End of The Decade Sale catalog and the other one was pictured in the photos shown in the actual eBay listing. Because I remember that one was used/seen a lot in photos and videos, and the other one not so much... and I was wondering which one was the one actually being auctioned - the one in the PDF catalog or the one in the eBay listing. So here are two of the pics I was looking at at the time - you can see the differences: So given that he is using one now, it is likely the other was sold at the auction... Jason

  18. That is awesome. They are very kind and generous with their fans. I remember after the Liverpool gig last year Chris made his way to the waiting car, and I don't think he left until every person out there that wanted an autograph got one (and there were many, many people). It's always great when people who's work you admire are so genuinely appreciate of their fans. Congrats - that is an awesome story! Jason
  19. Here is my article, with all of the photos: Coldplay at Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy / Paris, France / 12/14/2011 I'll be adding a bunch of videos once I land somewhere with decent WiFi. I shot a lot of video... Jason
  20. Hey All, Wow, what an awesome concert! First of all, a big shout out to the elephant attired concert goers in attendance! I panned to you guys in several of the videos I shot. :D Had the opportunity to attend this one (and the one in London on the 9th). Excellent show! I'm concurrently putting up an article on my blog, but thought I'd compliment that with some more thoughts here for the Coldplay fans... the pics will be in the article though - terrible WiFi connection and am wondering if I can even get the pics up. Unlike the London gig, I shot tons of video at this one, but will need to wait until I get to a hotel with better Internet service... So at the London show I was on the floor, close to the stage, while for Paris I was in the stadium/seated part (Section O). Two totally different experiences... On the floor, being close, there is definitely more energy and you feel the music and performances more; watching from the seated area is more like watching a concert on TV - you get a better sense of the arena, the flow of things, and benefit of seeing the full "show" part of the show (not the singing bits, but the confetti, the balls, the wristbands, etc.). I am glad, having an opportunity to see two shows so close to one another, to do one one way, and one the other... if I was only going to one show, and had to choose, I'd choose whatever option got me closest to the stage. As far as the show itself, I liked the London one a little better just because of the slight differences to the playlist (I like 'Don't Panic' and 'What If' better than 'Shiver', and the latter replaced both of the former in Paris), and there was more energy from the crowd in the UK (a good portion of my section didn't get out of their seats until Viva, which was closing out the last bit of the show - but I'm a bit under the weather, so it worked out for me ). Having said all that, it's really nitpicky comparisons, as I am a huge fan of the band, and have never come away from a show with anything but real excitement and satisfaction from the performances. Awesome show though, and feel very fortunate to have been able to share the experience with the people of Paris. :) By the way, Michaela (a member here) shot some awesome photos - she was right up close. We met up after so I took a pic of her with some memorabilia to share on the forum here... Oh, and thanks to Raphaele for coming and finding me to introduce yourself and chat - awesome to meet you! Jason
  21. I made it. :) Apologies in advance if I run into any of you and can't speak French... Jason
