  1. We are in a new Will Call line by a Toyota display. Only a few dozen waiting... Jason
  2. Hey All, My friend Lynne was first one here at 6 am... I was fourth a few hours later. Maybe just a bit over a dozen people here thus far... Seems most are Coldplaying members... :) A long day but will be an awesome show tonight. Jason
  3. I think I'm the only person who entered the KROQ contest that did not win. :gossip: Jason
  4. Long story, but I got a sneak peak inside the venue tonight (while another event was going on)... GA PIT is *TINY*!!! Actually, there is not a bad seat in the place. I was only on the ground floor (GA area) and it is sooo small... Feels smaller than the Hidden Gig shows, but you can't see the top section from the back of the bottom, so hard to say, but I can tell you this show will be unbelievably amazing. Killer venue. Just crazy small. Jason
  5. So I heard it was canceled on my way to the airport... I had pre-paid my hotel, so I decided to go ahead and come down as planned anyway... plus I had paid $150 to change my tickets once I got tickets to the JKL show... plus another night hotel... I rush to get to the airport, make it to the terminal, get on the plane... and wait like half an hour... then people started asking why our luggage was being hauled off, looking out the window... So they canceled my flight to my canceled concert... So I had to wait hours for the next one, which was so full I thought they were going to ask people to sit out on the wing... :D Anyway, the bright side is, if the concert wasn't canceled, I wouldn't have made it on time anyway due to the flight being canceled, so in the end, I guess I am lucky. :elephant: Jason
  6. Last year was a full concert for which tickets were largely sold, though some were given away; this was part of the Samsung AT&T SumerKrush series and benefited MusiCares. Jimmy Kimmel was there on stage briefly to intro a few songs, but apart from that, Coldplay generally did their festival setlist. I expect this event will be much shorter... I'm guessing maybe half an hour or something, but really have no idea? Here's a link to the Jimmy Kimmel bits I taped at UCLA last year: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxl4QiGdk80]Coldplay UCLA August 3rd - Charlie Brown - YouTube[/ame] Jason
  7. With my current flight, probably around 3pm. What about you? What time do the bands usually arrive? Thanks! Jason
  8. Hopefully someone will capture the video stream feed and archive it - would love to watch later, after seeing it live. :) Jason
  9. I got a ticket to the Jimmy Kimmel "outdoor mini concert" through the 1iota site... so I changed my flight, hotel, etc. (already was going to the Club Nokia show). :) So from reading about other block party concerts, it sounds as though there is no way in hell you can bring anything in that can take photos apart from a cell phone? Does anyone here have any past experience with these? Jason
  10. Call Ticketmaster customer service and see what they suggest. Whatever instructions they give you, I would recommend bringing the credit card used to make the purchase, a photocopy of your wife's driver's license, a print out of the order confirmation (with order number) that Ticketmaster e-mailed you, and, of course, your own driver's license. I would also call the venue itself and ask them, since they will be in control of the tickets at will call, and get the name of the person who you speak with over the phone... Jason
  11. I don't see how they can sell you a ticket for $300, and then tell you "sorry, we ran out of wristbands"... I wouldn't sweat it. Jason
  12. Just out of curiosity, was anyone able to buy a ticket today, via the general sale? Jason
  13. I just searched out of curiosity (got my ticket in yesterday's debacle), and no tickets at any price or level came up... Jason
  14. Presale code was iheart - supposed to only be good until 10 PM tonight... not sure if there are any tix left but I would recommend to keep trying - you never know... Looking forward to meeting everyone at the show! Jason
  15. I have three of the wristbands - one from Madrid, one from the London O2, and one from Paris Bercy, and for some reason, just the Bercy one started flashing today (they are all on display next to each other)... :sunny: Jason
  16. If anyone has tickets and wants me to be their guest, let me know... Jason
  17. We will be the obnoxious ones in the pit... :elephant: Jason
  18. Yes, and I have made sooo many good friends on this forum and at concerts. It's exciting! :D Jason
  19. I'm flying down from Northern California by myself... (well, I'm sure there will be other people on the plane, but you know what I mean...) Jason
  20. For those asking about the different kind of GA tickets... When I went to the UCLA gig last Summer, there was a GA pit right in front of the stage - standing-only (no seats) - it was actually in front of the VIP seated right behind. So I'm guessing the $300 GA PIT standing is right in front of the stage, and the cheaper GA is standing or seated behind it. The $300 tickets show a seat and row number, but that doesn't mean anything - it is autogenerated by Ticketmaster - they did the same thing for GA at the O2 London show I went to. I confirmed this when I was on the phone with Ticketmaster earlier today... also, just FYI, they will not sell you a ticket over the phone on pre-sale - only the general sale tomorrow - you can only get tickets over their (frustrating, messed up) website. Jason
  21. Yes, I did get my one GA Pit standing... best of luck to those still trying! Jason
  22. What a joke Ticketmaster is... Have been trying over and over with the same error... different computers, different credit cards... purging my cookies/cache, etc... Keep trying - I finally just got GA Pit (standing)! If you want those, you have to choose $300 and Best Available. I was on the phone with Ticketmaster, and they said there was an error with their system that they were in the process of fixing... Jason
