  1. When am I going to see that pretty hair again?
  2. I'm just so happy with the way the video turned out. I'll always be proud to say that I had a teeny tiny part in it.
  3. YAY! And I love it. Thanks to those of you who reposted.
  4. This is SO frustrating. I had to be in a meeting when the song/video were released and was champing at the bit to get back to my computer! Then we had a FREAKING POWER OUTAGE!!! They ended up sending us all home (power was out all over, was lots of fun driving through dead traffic signals!). My house has power luckily -- dashed upstairs to play the video and found that stupid message! Hopefully they will get it fixed soon. Meanwhile I've purchased the song from Amazon and will be playing it a LOT tonight!
  5. It is snowing like mad here in western NY and that is getting me more in the spirit for "Christmas Lights." I got to hear it last week on the boat and am going to wait for the official premiere today to hear it again - and watch the video at last! Good thing it's a fairly busy day at work! Oh yeah - I'm supposed to be working...... :escaping:
  6. Somebody said "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" is a real mouthful. So was "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" and look what that turned out to be.
  7. JillyBlue replied to cleeson7's topic in Coldplay
I liked the black outfits and white trainers of the X&Y era, and I liked the Viva style as well. The way they dress makes them stand out from other bands, and the newest look does as well. I hope it lasts, too.
  8. WE DON'T WANNA BE SHRINK-WRAPPED!
  9. They probably were thrilled and relieved that we finally got it right.
  10. I must have gone back and watched that bit about 50 times by now. It gives me SUCH a thrill to know I WAS THERE. Thanks for posting, Chelsea!
  11. Cheers, Jack, I didn't know I was sitting with such talent on the boat. Great job. I can't wait to learn to play the whole song myself. Love ya!
  12. Hi, all - Got back home to western NY last night. Feeling the jet lag today and glad I have the day to recupe. Seeing the snippets of video and photos got me excited all over again and now I can't wait until Liverpool! Really enjoyed the time with you all and sorry I missed the Friday night get-together (I went to the Dublin Castle earlier, but decided to leg it and get some rest for the trip home). Let's do it all again sometime!
  13. I've read through everything posted about the night on the Thames, pro and con. And I'm still on the "pro" side. The memory that will stick with me for a long time will be of the excitement that flew around that boat when they told us we were going to be in the video. THAT to me was worth the 3500 mile trip and the God knows how many dollars it took for me to get here. And the next memory will be of the feeling that I got listening to "Christmas Lights" for the first time. I got a lump in my throat. It is a beautiful song and I hope it gets to be one of those songs that is played on the radio at Christmastime for eons to come. And I got to be in the video for it. I got to sing on the song (does that make any sense?). No bitterness or bad feelings here. I feel like one of the luckiest people in the world. And I'm totally thrilled for those who braved the cold and got to meet them later! What lovely stories about lovely people. I think I'll go walk around London for a little while now and maybe sing "Oh-oh-oh-oh" under my breath.
  14. Had a great time with you all tonight. Did I hear 7 p.m. Dublin Castle on Friday? If I can figure out how to get there I'll be there!
  15. This was an incredible night. Was I hoping to meet the band? Yes. But i got something so much more. I got to be part of the band's legacy, from tonight forward. Meeting the guys would have lasted maybe 10 minutes? Being in this video, and building the camaraderie with my fellow freezing-to-death fans, is a memory that will last me for always. And the video will be played on and on and on.. how many times? For how many years? Yes, the band could have paid for extras to come in and do what we did. But what they elected to do was to GIVE US A GIFT. And that gift was to be part of their team, even if just for one night. They weren't sitting among us, but they were aware. Chris evidenced that with the message he gave us - live. Yes, I spent money and traveled a looooong way to come for this. I'm not sorry, I am blessed and honored. I am so glad. And to Phil and Nat and Petra and Custard.... I love you. And I love Coldplay.
  16. I've arrived in London! Traffic from Heathrow was terrible, be warned if you are coming from that direction. Going to grab a few hours sleep now. See you at the Anchor Tap at 3:30!
  17. Gosh - I was offline for a few hours (packing!) and come back to find all this. I'm with the faction that says hold up the boat for Jen and Ian. I can practice my "I'm an American, I'm stupid about English lifejackets" bit. You two HAVE to be on board. Also my international mobile didn't arrive today so it looks like I'll be phone-less. My guest has the number and name to reach me and I HOPE I can get online from the hotel. My flight arrives very early in the a.m. so I hope I can catch some sleep and be down to the pier in time for a warmup drink if that's still on. Is anyone else so excited they can't talk? I AM.
  18. ^ Gotta be a pub somewhere there for a warm-up drink.
  19. Count me in, too! My extra pass is now taken by my new friend Long Live Life.
  20. Thank you SO much! I can now leave with much excitement instead of nervousness! But my guest can't make it on Thursday  so my extra pass is up for grabs!
  21. Nope, and I think a number of us are having quiet (or maybe not so quiet) nervous breakdowns.
  22. I'm all booked, plane and hotel paid for, so I am coming no matter what! And if it doesn't happen I might just find the Beehive and plant myself in front of it. (There, that should be threat enough to get something moving.) :)
  23. It's too early in the day here to start drinking but I'm awfully tempted.
  24. I would be happy just to know the particulars about where we are supposed to show up, what time, etc. It's nerve-wracking to jet off without details! (Yes, going to the hidden gig in Liverpool is probably going to kill me.)
  25. Yup - I'm arriving in London early Thursday morning. Just a little anxious because I don't want to bring my laptop along and I'm concerned about getting all the info on when, where, what, etc.
