  1. Enjoyed this SO much -- and enjoyed being part of this virtual audience! Can't wait for Lolla in a few weeks!
  2. Can I just comment on how much fun it is to be watching it live with all of you? My first time doing this. Thanks everybody! This is GREAT. Thanks to Londonerr for making the stream possible.
  3. Did anybody else just start clapping along, too, or just me?
  4. Yeah! Go roadies, go! Go Bash! Go Hoppy! Go Matt!
  5. I actually made mine black. I think it was a choice along with what font to use - I just clicked on the color I wanted.
  6. Will help start the new thread off with one of my all-time fave pics of CAJM:
  7. Early Lolla Get Together? So we're less than a month away and I'm getting really excited. I will be arriving on Thursday the 4th - Anybody else coming in a day early who might want to get together near the Park? I've been practicing my Coldplay piano!
  8. I went with light blue and it was great. ;)
  9. When I heard Chris in the Ryan Seacrest interview say it's "hard to spell" I immediately thought "He's being funny, it's quite the opposite"! So I think - given the opening song to the festival shows and the artwork on their performance clothes -- I think the album is going to be titled "MX"!
  10. What a great post! You listed all the reasons that I love this band so much. I'm older than the "typical" Coldplay fan (if there even is such a thing) and I've seen a lot of bands come and go in my musical life. Only a few have remained and resonated with me, and Coldplay is one of them. First it was their music that caught my attention, but then as I learned more about them and came to love and respect them as human beings, my caring for them as a band was solidified. One of the things you didn't mention is their obvious respect for other musicians. They know that they're in a highly competitive business and they seem to have awe for so many other people who have made their mark on the industry. How often have we heard Chris, especially, give a shout out to U2, Radiohead, Green Day, and even Gary Barlow? Thanks for reminding us that there is just so much to enjoy about these guys. As others have said, I'm honored to be a Coldplay fan.
  11. I'll PM you with the instructions that TheSkittz sent to me. They're really easy to follow.
  12. I got mine and I'm really pleased with it! It's exactly the same as the one 66 got (except, of course, it has JillyBlue on the back). Can't wait to see you all. I'm just hoping I can survive the heat!
  13. Once again Coldplay surprised us. Not only with an unannounced release (you can imagine how I felt finding about it on Twitter at the end of a workday -- can you say RACE TO A COMPUTER?) but with an imaginative video that captures the feel of a song. I liked ETIAW immediately upon hearing it (I know, I know) and love the way the video brings the song's concept to life. The urban setting and rave lighting underscores the new look the band has adopted and makes me eager to see more of what's coming. At the point where Will lost his drums, got them back, lost them, etc. I thought "Huh?" but on repeated viewings enjoyed this more. As others have said, it was great to see all members of the band featured and the little smile on Will's face at the end is perfect punctuation. Bravo, boys. Thanks for the surprise!
  14. And now, at my house, every sweatdrop is a waterfall. :dazzled:
  15. USA Today 28 June lists ETIAW as #7 on Alternative airplay (up from #8) and #2 on Adult Contemporary airplay (up from #3).
  16. This was absolutely beautiful. I'm seeing U2 in Toronto in just a couple of weeks, and I would LOVE it if they would do this there! Go Bono!
  17. Well, I just ordered my shirt anyway, just as TheSkittz designed it. I think if it's for my own personal use it's OK - I'm not sellilng shirts at the festival. I hope!
  18. At an English Pub at Fourth Street Live in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. I was attending a Beatles festival there (I go every year, you should, too) and was in the Pub having lunch with friends when "Low" came on. Do you ever expect to hear that song ANYWHERE?
  19. So there's a children's entertainment group coming to town that's blanketing the city with advertising. And every time I see an ad for it in the paper, or pass a sign touting it, or hear a commercial on the radio for it, I smile a little smile because...
  20. JillyBlue replied to Pris's topic in Coldplay
This adds a whole new meaning to Chris saying "Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me." OK, Chris. I'll wait for you.
  21. Definitely interested! I would be happy to pay to have something done professionally rather than something I'd botch up. May I PM you with/for details? Thanks a ton!
