Some things are particular to a time or place in your life. Some things you just let go of because it's better to have a nice memory of it than to let it die a slow and painful death. Making it a point not to allow something in your life not to become too comfortable is a little disturbing though.

Live at the Union Chapel is an amazing live album with a mixture of original songs and covers. 'Then Go' is a really hauntingly beautiful song. My prize piece of Damien tat is my 'Cheers Darlin' t-shirt. :D

I, like most of the people on this island today, am hungover.

The is much to be impressed by with Nazism. Rapid expansion was both impressive and necessary. Re-armament for war required more work, therefore unemployment decreased. The sense of community was effective insofar as it bred conformity whereby you lost your identity for the good of Germany. People were not outspoken about the Nazis because of a degree of fear, but also because they were relatively content with life under the Nazis. Much has been taken from the Nazi regime by way of political methods and ideas. Essentially World War Two was a battle between two ways of life, although always portrayed as a Good vs Evil battle, it couldn't be further than the truth. Democracy was able to team up with Communism to defeat Fascism and Nazism. Democracy then went on to take on Communism and win. There is a distinct lack of objectivity in the investigation and research of Nazism. The winner writing history has gone a long way to stifling any alternative view of Nazism which tries to be objective about any of the possible pros of such an ideological regime. There's also an amount of control, power and legitimacy given to the appropriate Jewish authorities concerned with the Holocaust. I just don't think it can be truly objective when this is the case.

If you get a hold of the album version of 'Everything' by Limp Bizkit then you should get to sleep in no time. It's 15 minutes long, it's not heavy, rather it's slow and kinda dreamy. It's nothing like the shite that they usually make, you can actually listen to this. Good for studying too. If you bother to check it out let me know what you think.

There's just too much going on that at certain points in the song you don't really know what's going on because there are so many things going on that it just becomes noise. As with previous MGMT songs there is no hook to this song which will have everyone singing along with it. At times it's hard to even know which bit is the chorus. If they wanted to go against the grain with this song and release something which you wouldn't normally associate with MGMT then they've succeeded but Paranoid Android it ain't. I'm glad they released it though, because too many people have hyped them up. Maybe it'll get them to shut the fuck up now.
