  1. It seems like ... Ultimately, it's what I choose to take from a post that will make me better or worse. Doesn't take seem right? So a post is a necessary but not determining part of the equation.
  2. Sorry, Mimi. Gaby and I haven't talked for a while. Re: the Scathing article, look at it like this: Hate is bad, mmkay.
  3. Oh, that's right ... you are over 2000 now. You were down below 2000 for so long after me and your sister were above that I thought you were gonna stay there forever. Silly me.
  4. not good enough? me wanting you to post and talk with me is not good enough? not good enough for what? to make me speechless. :P anyways, i'm not much of a talker. could have fooled me :D
  5. not good enough? me wanting you to post and talk with me is not good enough? not good enough for what?
  6. Agreed! :P
  7. Now why would I want you to be speechless when I like reading your posts so much? No, I WANT you to talk. Talk as much as possible. It makes me feel like a better person when I read your posts. If you were to stop posting, my reason for being on this board disappears. No, you speechless wouldn't be a wish: it would be a nightmare.
  8. No, we're not even. Not even close.
  9. Because I'm not speechless, lass :)
  10. Never again. You scores once, and I congratulate you. Savour this moment. Those times which are most scarce are sweetest when recalled ... ... and this will be a very, very rare moment.
  11. I HATE YOU, GABY!!!! NOBODY MAKES ME SPEECHLESS! Nobody.
  12. (speachless)
  13. hey ... swift smiley action there.
  14. lunchbox action? any noun with "action" at the end sounds perverse.
  15. You should see Noni's Chris Martin panties. They're kinda disturbing, actually.
  16. Great! She's in the bathroom again!
  17. I definitely think Chris feigns humility. You can see through it in all the interviews. I agree with this. But then again, he might just figure it's easier to be humble because that fends off controversy.
  18. Haven't really thought about it. To me, it doesn't matter that much, but I might feel different if one of my favorite bands ever did come out and say "Yeah, it was all about the money." But rationally, I would like to just Coldlpay just for their music and not for the contant of their interviews or their political beliefs. Within reason, of course. If Chris came out and said "I wrote this song while clubbing baby seals" I would probably never be able to listen to their music w/o thinking about dead seals. And likewise, if Chris described some cynical way in which he wrote Trouble targeting a specific argument, structuring the song around very commercial ideas, I'd probably have my view clouded a little, though I wouldn't want it to be. But until they give me real reason to think that, I won't.
  19. That's cool. I wouldn't invest too much on what a celebrity says in interviews, though. Well, I actually could see why somebody would, but ... ... his first class university degree might tell him that humility in interviews sells more records.
  20. "Be like the squirrel, Be like the squirel. Oh. Oh. Oh, oh, oh."
  21. I agree. The reason we are talking about it is because of the article though. I personally don't care what Coldplay get finacially, I don't believe they got in to this buisness for money, but for love of music. I do understand them discussing money though, everyone has to make a living. But if they did get in it just for money, would that affect your love for them? Imagine ... Chris goes an interview where he says "We wanted to be the Pixies, but the Pixies very sold, so we decided to mix in more contemporary U2 and we got Yellow and Trouble and we're better for it." Not arrogant about it, just matter of fact. How would that affect you?
  22. *offers mouth-to-mouth reanimation to richard* * glad you're not trying to revive me w/ the cucumber *   I was worried if you'd like the cucumbers in that way... ** puts fingers in ears ** la, la, la, la .... la, la, la, la ** hops into the distance **
  23. the highest i've gotten is 1212.7. i've switched to trying to get the farthest without sliding or hopping. my farthest in that respect is 792.

  25. I think the underlying point here might be that we probably shouldn't devote much time to thinking about Benham's or Martin's or any celebrity's finanaces because, for the most part: 1) That's not the reason they are celebrities. 2) Most celebrities don't promote or publicize their wealth. 3) It doesn't affect out intereaction with that celebrity. This fixation with other people's monies really fascinated me. Why should I care as long as I have enough money on which to survive? I guess people generally want to hear about these types of things or else the media would spend less time covering them, but I don't get it.
