New Coldplay Christmas Song 2010! Christmas Lights // behind-the-scenes footage in first post (parts
I think the most important time this clock will ever hit (apart from 0) is gonna be '1.36' A mere minute and a half before the song is released. Although, the countdown is actually running from Coldplay's server, not iTunes', so Christmas Lights may be available for download up to five minutes before or after the clock hits zero, depending on Apple's server time.

The countdown passed 4242.42 just after 7:45 this morning. I got a screencap: (Sorry if anyone else as obsessive as me has posted one here; I couldn't be bothered reading through the ten extra pages that have appeared since last night :P )

Oh and now I remember; someone requested a screenshot of the countdown at 6969 minutes. That was at 10 in the morning here, so I got one:

That's a good start actually. But the rest of the letters can't be related to London or the Thames in any way...that I can see...

Letter from Phil Harvey: Dear Coldplaying...
That's so awesome! But...is that email address correct? "Please email your questions [email protected] by Wednesday December 1st." Are you sure it isn't supposed to be "Please email your questions to [email protected] by Wednesday December 1st."? Because that way it makes way more sense.

It's not JNR; its JRN if anything. And I'm surprised that more thought isn't being given to these letters. From what I can see, they appear to be ? m v a a j r N ? ? and the question marks literally are question marks. Presumably all will be revealed with the release of the song next week, but I think these letters have something to do with what Chris wrote before it was scribbled out: "We are doing the video right now. It is a midtempo number in the key of G." The letters appear to be written after the scribbling took place, which also raises another question; why did they have that part removed anyway? Did they realise how easy it is to edit brightness on the image and read it? If so why bother, and if not, why in the first place? They didn't give anything of importance away. We already speculated a video was planned during the boat trip. This simply gave a little confirmation. It's very odd.

LP5 News! From the Q Magazine - scans in first post (CM: new album inspired by New York graffiti and
I second that. It seems everyone is in favour of these song titles but I don't particularly like them. And I'm having fears that when I hear the actual music, I won't like that either.:\

Wow, I went all day seeing the title of this thread but never opening it up to read it, cos I just assumed it would be some teensy tiny bit of info that wouldn't make a difference. How wrong I was. Just read through all 11 pages and I can't believe how much news we've gotten over the last couple of days! It's almost overwhelming really. I think what we need is a sticky thread that combines all the bits of information we've gathered on LP5 in one convenient place, that people can more easily refer to. Much better than trying to keep up with all the updates in all the threads that are going to appear shortly. Can anyone else be bothered or shall I? :P

This is fantastic! It'll be the first Coldplay release since I joined these forums...indeed since I became the huge Coldplay fan I am now! This is Coldplay's first release since last Christmas, when I found out who they were and got all their music...IT'S SO EXCITING!

Chris Martin To Be Interviewed By Aussie Cricket Legend Shane Warne! (aired 24th Nov - videos in fir
I agree with you there; I think it was pretty poor. :( Chris dodged most of the questions and gave paltry answers to the rest. I expected much better, because I've seen other Chris interviews which are hilarious and insightful. And the way Chris kept adjusting his hat actually started to annoy me near the end. There were a few funny moments, yes, but on the whole nothing particularly great.

Ive searched everyhere to no avail. Who has Chris singing a few lines of 'Hot in Here'?
I have the full audio version :D. He sings this at the start of a live version of Everything's Not Lost. At least...I'm pretty sure it's the start. It seems to begin with the chorus. Perhaps he just sang Hot in Here and blended it with the end of ENL for the lulz. Anyways...umm how do I upload it? I've been here for a while but I've never uploaded a song file, heh heh. EDIT: Don't worry. I figured it out :P Here you go http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4551898#post4551898.

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
Dammit I wish I could go! Best of luck to everyone applying anyway; although so many people can't go that I wonder whether 50 pairs could be scrounged up in the first place.

2011 calendar
Maybe we should just wait a bit longer. It IS only the start of November. I don't know when the calendars have been released in the past, but maybe it'll be out closer to Christmas?

These Lyrics???
I didn't know that!

These Lyrics???
Urgh those other lines are completely indecipherable. The lines we CAN understand, on the other hand...well, they're pretty interesting. I'd say Prospekt's era more than Viva la Vida. Were there any other lyrics like this written in the tour program?

An Idea for a Show
It’s a high-paced, edgy drama, following the exploits of a counter-terrorism unit over a single 42-hour period. I’ve got an idea for a logo – all I need now is a name. (I'll be honest, I could never come up with something as cool as this. I found a really old blog here which I reposted. Credz to this guy xD)

Fan-Made Covers for Indefinable Songs
I got just about all of these from LiquidSky's Mediafire folder, actually. Acoustic Tracks: Basically a collection of live acoustic songs Chris has done on radio stations. I've got Careful Where You Stand, Yellow from Jo Whiley's Lunchtime Social, See You Soon, The Scientist, Clocks, Shiver and Swallowed in the Sea. Covers: Dry Your Eyes, Here Comes the Sun [Live], Lost Highway [Live], Shining Light [Live], Stop Me if You Think That You've Heard This One Before, What's Going On? [ft. Bono], What the World Needs Now is Love [Live], White Christmas [Live], In The Sun [Live] [ft. Michael Stipe], Nightswimming [Live] [Michael Stipe], Hunting High and Low, Everybody's Happy Nowadays [ft. Ash] General Live: Don't Panic {Live at Glastonbury Music Festival} {Acoustic}, Everything's Not Lost {Live}, Everything's Not Lost {Live}, A Ghost {Live}, Gravity {Live in Denmark}, Idiot {Live}, Ladder To The Sun {Live at Bell Centre}, Ladder To The Sun {Live}, Life in Technicolor ii {Live at NRJ Music Awards}, Speed of Sound {Live at Top of the Pops}, Speed of Sound {Live on Radio 1}, Talk {Live at NRJ Music Awards}, Your World's Turn Upside Down {Live}, So Sad {Live}, Ladder To The Sun {Live at Montreal} Instrumentals: Speed of Sound [instrumental + Backing Vocals], Trouble [instrumental] Novelty Tracks: Clocks [Reversed], Clocks [Reversed] [instrumental], The Scientist [Reversed], Life in Technicolor iii, A Message [Reversed] Remixes: Fix You (Strachan Remix), The Scientist (Radiohead vs. Coldplay), Spies (Nikolai Levey Remix), Talk (Jacques Lu Cont Remix), White Shadows (DJ Preach Mix), White Shadows (Gabriel & Dresden Bootleg Set Rip), Daylight (The Scientist's Breaking Thru Remix), Low (The Scientist's Spoonman Remix), A Message (The Scientist's Song of Love Remix), Square One (Team9's Smalltown Mix) Unreleased Tracks: Christmas Lights, Christmas Message 2004, Christmas Message 2007, Nappies, A Rush of Blood to the Head [Demo Version], Wedding Bells [Demo Version], Coldplay Dance Anthems 1906 (This is actually a Christmas Message from some year or another, but for a change the video specifies that the song has a name), Talk ii [Demo Version], Death And All His Friends [Demo Version], Harmless [Demo Version One], Harmless [Demo Version Two], Spies [Demo Version]

Fan-Made Covers for Indefinable Songs
If I may contribute, I can tell you guys what I had under each of those albums. My Novelty Tracks, for example, contained mostly versions of Coldplay songs which I had reversed. The Scientist was one, of course. It has a really cool sound when you play it backwards. I also had Clocks reversed and 'Life in Technicolor iii', which was Life in Technicolor, Life in Technicolor ii and The Escapist blended into one continuous track. I could tell you the other albums if you want; it'll give you a general idea where to start with what's on it.

Fan-Made Covers for Indefinable Songs
So, like many Coldplayers, I have some songs which are by Coldplay, yes, but aren't from any specific album. For example, Nappies or the Christmas Messages. I made up the album 'Unreleased Tracks' to put all of these songs in, as they needed to go somewhere, but I wanted an album art. My friend HandyAndy1.36 stepped in at this point with a solution: He took the original LRLRL album artwork and changed the text to 'Unreleased Tracks' and the hue of the butterfly so that it would not be confused with the actual LRLRL album. I thought this was wonderful, but didn't like the fact it was, ah, pink (also the text didn't centre and it looked too out-of-place). So I made my own: And then I went nuts, using the concept to make arts for Acoustic Tracks, Covers, General Live, Instrumentals, Interviews, Novelty Tracks and Remixes. If you want to use any of them, they're here, for your convenience:
