  1. I signed in to the forums for the first time in years for this Right click, save image/picture as...
  2. I still think it's Car Kids.
  3. totallynotabump.jpg The moment I first heard Charlie Brown live, I was reminded of Don Quixote/Spanish Rain. Now that I've heard the studio version, I maintain my belief that Charlie Brown is either the direct evolution of Don Quixote/Spanish Rain, or at least borrows some elements, because I just can't hear Charlie Brown without thinking of it. And I loved Don Quixote/Spanish Rain, so that I at least got Charlie Brown is quite heartening.
  4. Australia here, where the album came out today. Wonderful piece. Sounds like the musical styles of all their previous albums mixed together. Only a few tracks I don't completely like, but most fit in perfectly. Three tracks that are less than a minute does feel like a bit of a rip-off, but they'd make good ringtones, or something, I guess :P Everything is better in studio than the live versions we heard way back in the year.
  5. That was amazing. If only the DJs weren't so obnoxious, it might have been even better.
  6. COME OOOONNNNNN JOIN THE PARTY (JOIN THE PARTY) Sorry I'm really excitement right now, also I saw the name of this thread and had to post that. :D :D :D
  7. Among the greatest Coldplay music videos around. Better than most official ones, that's for sure!
  8. I figured out what the Clocks cover was with remarkable ease compared to how long I spent scratching my head at the AROBTTH album cover. Seriously, even my mum thought it was an upside-down bunny rabbit.
  9. To be perfectly frank, no, I don't believe there is any easier way than to use a proxy.
  10. I stand by October. July is in the middle of all their festival dates. Why would you release an album then?
  11. I think it's very likely. Considering Chris said the title would probably be two words and have the letter 'M', I think a new track by the name of Major Minus is too big a coincidence to be accidental. The more I think about it, the more it sounds like it could be a really good title.
  12. Um, that one with the piano is nice.
  13. When I first heard Charlie Brown (Cartoon Heart), I could swear the tune was vaguely familiar. Then I figured out why. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3K4TrKus60]YouTube - ‪Coldplay - Don Quixote (Spanish Rain) New Song (live from Latin America Tour) HD‬‏[/ame] Does anyone else think there are similarities? (Also, I haven't read this thread through, so if someone else has already made this connection, then sorry)
  14. I think the lyrics are fine. Although having lyrics that actually reference listening to songs is meta and all, it just shouldn't happen. Seems kinda lame to me :\

Well, it's certainly difficult to sift through all the recurring threads of Chris and Jonny photos, but I think that this is the reason ColdplayingTV got started. It reports all the most important news and rumours on an occasional basis, which is better than nothing, really :P
  16. EDIT: We've just removed the location info. Please read the last post. Like the Oracle said: If there is something to be found out, it's going to be on coldplay.com. __________________________________ Ok ok ok. Don't yell at me if someone figured this out already, but the photo uploaded by Phil on Twitpic has accessible EXIF data. For those who don't know (and even my knowledge is sketchy) whenever a JPEG is taken, a whole bunch of info about its lens and lighting conditions is added to the file. This is the EXIF data. One can obtain software which reads this data in a JPEG image. I did just that with Phil's image (http://twitpic.com/51n5nx/full). EXIF IFD0 * Camera Make {0x010F} = Apple * Camera Model {0x0110} = iPhone 4 * Picture Orientation {0x0112} = normal (1) * X-Resolution {0x011A} = 72/1 ===> 72 * Y-Resolution {0x011B} = 72/1 ===> 72 * X/Y-Resolution Unit {0x0128} = inch (2) * Software / Firmware Version {0x0131} = 4.3.3 * Last Modified Date/Time {0x0132} = 2011:05:23 20:14:17 So here we see that an Apple iPhone 4 took the image at 8:14pm on the 23rd of May. EXIF Sub IFD * Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) {0x829A} = 1/15 second ===> 0.06667 second * Lens F-Number / F-Stop {0x829D} = 14/5 ===> ƒ/2.8 * Exposure Program {0x8822} = normal program (2) * ISO Speed Ratings {0x8827} = 1000 * EXIF Version {0x9000} = 0221 * Original Date/Time {0x9003} = 2011:05:23 20:14:17 * Digitization Date/Time {0x9004} = 2011:05:23 20:14:17 * Shutter Speed Value (APEX) {0x9201} = 4889/1250 Shutter Speed (Exposure Time) = 1/15.04 second * Aperture Value (APEX) {0x9202} = 4281/1441 Aperture = ƒ/2.8 * Metering Mode {0x9207} = pattern / multi-segment (5) * Flash {0x9209} = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode * Focal Length {0x920A} = 77/20 mm ===> 3.85 mm * Subject Location {0x9214} = n/a * FlashPix Version {0xA000} = 0100 * Colour Space {0xA001} = sRGB (1) * Image Width {0xA002} = 747 pixels * Image Height {0xA003} = 1000 pixels * Image Sensing Method {0xA217} = one-chip color area sensor (2) * Exposure Mode {0xA402} = auto exposure (0) * White Balance {0xA403} = auto (0) * Scene Capture Type {0xA406} = standard (0) * Sharpness {0xA40A} = soft (1) Nothing that important here... EXIF GPS IFD *removed* That's right. A GPS ADDRESS. This lists the COORDINATES AT WHICH THE PHOTO WAS TAKEN. It comes to here. *URL removed* Somewhere in *removed*. The green arrow is the actual coordinates, the pink A is just the nearest street. I don't know if Phil knew that this data was being left with the image. It is possible to remove EXIF data, so if he was concerned about it he would have done something about it. Perhaps he didn't know that his iPhone was going to log it's coordinates and add them to the photo. Who knows? But maybe, just maybe, this was intentional. Perhaps at that location is simply the graffiti seen in the image, or perhaps there's something more!
  17. Sounds very intriguing. Please. Do go on :)
  18. Sweet job on the new episode! No offence meant to Jamie, but the super-imposed text and images were just the sort of thing that the original CTV videos were missing, and it's so much better now they're here. Keep up the good work! Don't let Season 2 die like Season 1 did.
  19. (To the tune of Life in Technicolor ii) Oooohhhh LP5 come out, For I have been so devout. I can hear you faintly, But I can't make out the sound. In this sad sea of silence I have drowned.
  20. How do you 'find' these things? Do you just randomly guess at addresses, or find really old links and see if they still function, or is there some kind of source-code-looking-at going on?
  21. Seems like they've cleaned up all that excess stuff off the site now. Only the Violet Hill song player and the Lost! video still work.
  22. Yeah probably :P
  23. MX is Roman numerals for 1010. 1010 is binary for 10. 101010 is binary for 42. Coincidence?
  24. ReecyBoy42 replied to ReecyBoy42's topic in Coldplay
Woah that is tiny! The last one just looks like a random squiggle... Wait that's what all Chris' G's look like. Yeah I think r c w g is a fair conclusion. Now for their meaning...
  25. Rather than Rumour Mill, how about Rumour Hill? :D
