TRYIN' TO RIGHT A WRONG :D

Christmas Lights is still the only Coldplay song I listen to. I haven't listened to anything except Christmas Lights on endless repeat since it was released nearly a week ago. That is how much I love it!

I'd like to know how they got Chris to rise up like that in the first place. I saw it the first time and I was like :shocked2: And today, I watched the video and noticed that the piano moves as Chris rises up. I had never noticed that previously.

When I first heard it, I didn't like it, but I didn't dislike it either. Maybe because it was 7:30 in the morning, or maybe because of the mixed opinions of other people flying around and affecting my preconceptions. My iTunes was being a bitch from 6:30 onwards, so I couldn't download it. I was living off the YouTube video on Coldplay.com. Then I found out that the video had been taken down from the site, but I could still watch it cos it had already buffered and downloaded the whole thing. As far as I know, I was the only one in the world still able to watch the video on Coldplay.com. Then it was brought back so I wasn't so special any more :P I eventually installed iTunes on the laptop, then downloaded the song and video through that and moved them over to my main computer and that iTunes. I threw the song on repeat and slowly came around to it. I think it's pretty good now, but I have my issues. As previously mentioned, the "Tears we cried a flood" line sounds clumsy to me. As does the next line "Got all kinds of poison in, Of poison in my blood". And the line "Like some drunken Elvis singing" finally explains why there are three Elvises playing violins in the background...but I still don't really like that line either. In contrast, there are some fantastic lines in there as well. Another day or two and I'll like the song even more, but I'm not sure if I'll ever love it as much as certain other Coldplay songs.

I'm not sure we'll ever get higher resolution artwork :/ The only two places to get the artwork are Coldplay.com and the iTunes release itself (which actually had a dark image that I replaced with the one from Coldplay.com). Normally, I believe it's people buying the album and scanning the artwork on high-res scanners that produces the large images, but without physical copies of the disc being sold I doubt we'll ever see more pictures.

I like the idea of February 9th. =D

CURSE YOU ITUNES! WHY CAN'T I HAVE MY COLDPLAY?!

I have a question that's bugged me awhile: I understand they wanted some extras, but...why Elvises? Of all the things to have in the background of the video...why three Elvises with violins? WHYY?!? Maybe I'll submit it to the boat Q&A's thing.

It comes out at 6:30am on Thursday the 2nd over here. It's so weird cos I say to people on here that I can't wait till the 2nd are they're like 'why? Christmas Lights comes out on the 1st...' But I'm gonna get up way early and see this through.

OK I'm gonna ask a question, but I'll tell them I wasn't on the boat so it's nice and fair (:
