You have a very good point there toddbluezoo, especially the relying too much on effects bit. There's a huge diference between the first two and the last two albums.

I love that version better for the same reason. I'm not sure about that. The AROBTTH era has certainly meant a lot since it's from where we get what people refer to as "the Coldplay sound", but I think he's done a lot since then, maybe in a different direction. Anyways, mmm...I don't know much about technical stuff, so I may sound like a completle ignorant, but I think that during the Viva era he has expanded, let's say, what he does in terms of effects and sounds. I don't know if call it an improvement, but it is certainly an expansion and something different from what we were used to listen from him. As Carrie said, he seems to be doing new stuff with LP5, we'll have to wait to judge that.

I believe it's like like Christmas Lights, my friend. The version we heard on the 60 minutes interview differs from the version released last year but they're the same song, at different stages of evolution. They sound diferent, but because it's a different version. Chris has said that Panic became Don't Panic. It's like "Don't Panic" Blue Room version and Don't Panic Parachutes version, they sound different but it's the same song...

I'd add "ever again" :P AND panic is Don't Panic, Panic was the name it originally had.
