My preliminary verdict is: (takes a few listens to give my real opinion) I think its a strong album, I gave it a 7 on the above scale. It would have damn been an 8 if Up in Flames (monotonous almost embarrasing) was switched with Moving to Mars. But overall I think the album sounds great! well done guys!

I did play around with some reverb on the vocals, I also gave it a radio like tone like the studio version but as this was the first cover I made using a high quality mic (vocals only) I decided against it, it diddnt really fit

Yea, I love Major Minus and I really like the other songs Ive heard from MX so far. Hurts like heaven and Charlie Brown were going to be my next covers, but with them being simple chords on piano, im not really good enough to make them sound entertaining. Know what I mean? Suggestions? Oh well, I'm definatly going to cover Paradise once I learn it and Adrian Lee says I will like to cover U.F.O - but seen as I havent heard it yet (because Im waiting till i have the CD in m hands) only time will tell

Im going to take a guess that MX is released on different dates to cater to the respective regions beginning counting album chart sales at different times. Now, surely the music industry has to change this because by having a high profile album like MX released in Japan days before the EU and USA, it's almost prompting people to get their hands on a leaked copy because they can't wait. Don't get me wrong, Im glad the album is priced well, and I know no matter what, some people will pirate the CD, but I feel bad that Coldplay are being robbed of all their hard work, shouldn't every effort have been made to minimize piracy by releasing MX simultaneously across the globe! Doesnt anyone else think a staggered release was a stupid thing to do?

Hmm I actually really like Jay Z's Part in Lost - but I like how that was on an EP - rather than the actual album. Would have prefered Rihannas part as a B side or something because I just love chris's voice far too much to loose it on a song

Hi, so me and my friends are on film and TV courses at Westminster university and I cover a lot of Coldplay songs. I'm thinking about shooting a simple video for a new cover of Christmas Lights on the Thames and I want to paint my keyboard to look like the one from the original video and MX era. My keyboard is the Yamaha PSR E413, its all slippery plastic basically, does anyone have any ideas how I could get my keyboard looking cool?
