  1. I hate it when people are like "LOL I'M SO RANDOM AND UNIQUE AND FUNNAI", that shit is the worst shit ever shat out of a shithole. :blank:
  2. Forces as in, infantry-type "real troops" you mean, right? Dear god please no. And I really am of the opinion that it's the Libyan peoples' conflict, and if they want a new system, they're going to have to fight for it themselves. It's sort of like an international rite of passage or something, I don't think they'd be able to sustain a new anything really if they piggyback on direct foreign intervention.
  3. I don't think that would a) work, as it's the UN or b) be good Also, what's been mentioned about how tied together the UN and US are. America marching in to liberate other countries from non-democratic political systems is ridic. Not something we need to be doing, because nobody fucking appreciates it, and if we did set up a real democracy in countries in that region, most of them would turn around and bite us in the ass anyway. And I'm not saying if the UN did a military strike it would just be all America-centric, just that America supporting a UN strike is bad for the reasons enumerated above. America's well past the zenith of its power, not least due to developing interventionism over the past few generations; I don't think it's a good idea to be encouraging international conflict on the scale we are. (Or at all.)
  4. so you're being serious...? .__.
  5. religion can act as an outlet for people to be horrible to each other without religion, people would still be horrible to each other, just horrible through different means. same deal goes for being good, I think. so it's neutral.
  6. Colin looks naise with a beard
  7. no way! twinsies!! It's really weird in public though cuz I feel like I just want to move my arms like I'm moving stuff around to clear my thoughts out a bit but I would look insane if I did that. hahaha.
  8. you all think boring! all just words??
  9. Fragments and sentences usually. Sometimes pictures. Sometimes sounds. Sometimes kinesthetic feelings, or whatever. If I'm thinking very hard words sort of go away and I feel like I'm moving stuff around instead. it's weird. edit: ooh! when I remember things I remember smells a lot, and sounds and images. Less words in memory for me. forgot to mention.
  10. John Lennon was a smart, smart dude.

  16. It's been done before, see: Wembley.
  17. ^What you said, America needs to back the fuck out of foreign policy and nurse its economic wounds right now. Our economy's for shit, we're obviously not going to be at the zenith of our power ever again, and it seems to me like we need to back off and do as much with what we have left as we can. America was a staunchly non-interventionist country until a little before WWI, maybe being non-interventionist in itself isn't feasible in the global culture we have now and we need to improve foreign relations, but backing out of other countries' businesses is one of the best things we can do for foreign relations anyway. Win-win situation. We've been acting like the moral police for decades now, which hasn't always been bad for everyone obviously, but is not working out too hot for us right now. I'm not a policymaker or even of voting age, but that's my two cents.
  18. Unbelievably sexy legs there Nick.
  19. I agree with Alexa, it seems like your taste is more of the general alternative/modernish rock flavor than a Radiohead/etc flavor.
  20. Radiohead's moved way past their Bends/OKC stage, that was more of a juvenile sort of phase they went through than a reflection of their real musical style, in my opinion at least. There's a pretty sharp schism between people who like The Bends/OKC and the fans who like most if not all of their work, cuz there's such an aural divide between the 90s and 00s for them.
