  1. Sorry, but no. The King's Speech was nice and well-acted and uplifting and such, but fairly corny and not really very groundbreaking. (It definitely is good though!) It's gonna be between Inception and The Social Network, and The Social Network should win, but I'm thinking Inception is more Oscar-flavored than TSN. I'm seriously seriously hoping TSN will win like everything. I'm in love with that movie. btw, I haven't yet seen Black Swan, though I definitely intend to. Mostly cuz I'm not old enough to go with anyone really besides my dad and I hear that there's lots of masturbation and stuff in it which would just be awkward with family members, my dad especially, haha. Also, True Grit should win something, unsure what, though. Maybe best supporting actor or something? They'll almost certainly get best director. And if Hailee Steinfeld got Best Supporting Actress I would be really happy, because she did a genuinely good job.
  2. Not that bad.

  10. Isn't that shit weird? Dunno why I mentioned it. It's popping up a lot in my English class lately and in a book I'm reading. It's just really... weird. I dunno if anyone knows what I mean. It pops up all over the place, like if you go all the way around the world you wind up where you started, and like some drugs are supposed to encourage things but physiologically they end up inhibiting them, etc. Obviously those two examples aren't even particularly strong, they just popped into my head, and there are totally different reasons and mechanisms for both of them, but it's just an interesting phenomenon. The book I'm reading cites an "endlessly rising canon" by Bach, wherein the key keeps going up and up, starting from C I think, like C, D, E... etc, until, of course, voila, it's back to C before you even notice exactly what's happening. And then it repeats. Stuff like that. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm not saying there's a metaphysical relationship between any of these examples or anything, that would be a little out there, but whenever I see them they're just very interesting, to me anyway. um... yeah. anyone wanna talk about this? :P
  11. That's awesome, actually, as touring is where most bands get their money. I'm surprised it's risen so much recently. Just goes to support my theory that illegal downloading gets the band more tour money -> more actual money ;D
  12. ftw??? i hate the church
  13. At least a year and a half. hahaha.
  14. You all are noobs at Facebook.
  15. Celsius originally designated 0 degrees as the boiling point of water and 100 degrees as the freezing point of water :surprised:
  16. natural selection
  17. Yeah, I guess. I suppose my view of the music industry is just what awesome albums I can look forward to pirating anyway, instead of actually scrutinizing the record business itself. It's weird how little I care about the record companies themselves, I'd frankly rather just pirate music and donate directly to the bands, stuff like that, than support the record business as a whole.
  18. What is this article talking about... there are lots of awesome records coming out this year and of course the record companies aren't making as much as they'd like from them, on account of how they're all going extinct. Lol.
  19. Lovin' the notation in the poll :P Unless it was a band I super loved, I'd draw the line around 25-50 miles. Not that I can like drive. O well.
  20. ^How, all the posts he/it made seem pretty appropriate to the topic and there are no posts of him/it selling anything
