Cool idea, but no.

Is the money and fame getting to Chris Martin's songwriting abilities??

Look, Paradise and Every Teardrop is a Waterfall are pretty bad lyrically. But Parachutes is so stuffed with lyrical cliches it's almost embarrassing. Have you ever actually listened to the album? :P There's some good stuff in there, but a lot of it...honest and heartfelt, sure. But not exactly brilliant. On the other hand, I think that Charlie Brown, Us Against the World and Hurts Like Heaven are all great. Some of Martin's best. Anyway, X&Y clearly boasts Coldplay's worst lyrics.

I'd take Charlie Brown over Hurts Like Heaven any day.

Mylo Xyloto = Absolution
Ok, Micro Cuts is pretty intense, I'll give them that. And Hysteria is just ridiculously fun to play. I just think that they're boring and repetitive for the most part. Their melodic style hardly changes at all.

Music Video Concept
You know, that's actually a way better line than anything on Paradise. :laugh3: Ah, but nobody from the band actually PLAYS any instruments on Paradise. :P

Hello, I shall now vent on why Mylo Xyloto is not as bad as expected.
Hurts Like Heaven is pretty good too.

Mylo Xyloto = Absolution
I own every Muse album (why, I don't know) so I'm aware of the differences in their sound. I guess I just think that their arrangements are extremely predictable. Exogenesis is great. The rest...meh. I respect you for liking them, and I would actually love to see their live show, but I guess they're just not my style. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Also, it seems to me they could try singing about something other than their "DOWN WITH THE GOVERNMENT" obsession (I know, I know, they have love songs and stuff...but you know what I mean).

The girl from Paradise.
Actually, I find her kind of average. Pretty, but not beautiful by any means. :blank:

Double post. :blank: Perhaps "hate" is too strong a word. I just think they are HUGELY overrated.
