I don't think Mylo was bad, there were some individual great tracks - but I think most people left as it was the most radical departure in style from coldplay, a move away from the emotional alt rock we knew and loved

I loved the running man! It was so mysterious at the start. Come to think of it the swirly flower of life GIF this year was very similar haha me too! Apart from amazing day, but Ill give myself that one having listened to it live. Maybe not even ten days - lets hope it streams on friday or something or leaks!

I remember when people were really geeky and used to analyse absolutely everything in the build up to an album release. We were all better than sherlock holmes in finding stuff out - I remember when someone found out that LP5 was to be called Mylo Xyloto, it was crazy!

To be honest I think it is because there are less people around now. I remember the MX release being ridiculously busy, with the forum crashing from time to time.

I hope the album leaks or streams soon, Im not listening to these and it is torture aha.

As someone who listened in to the first song premiere for the past few albums I can honestly say I am gobsmacked. AOAL is completely different to how I imagined - I never thought Coldplay would make a song like this. I admire the experimentation but some parts of this song feel so generic, the vocals and woo hoo's especially. God this really shows that Coldplay are not holding back with the happy feeling for AHFOD.

Another's Arms Major Minus Up In Flames

Underrated Song So many to pick from - Death and all his Friends/Swallowed in the Sea/Rainy Day to name a few, but if I had to go for one it would be Trouble. Never hear much love for it, which I can't understand as the piano riff is an iconic Coldplay sound for me, and it is an overall stunning song imo. Overrated Song Clocks - still a fantastic, iconic song, yet one which Im not that excited to listen to. Underrated Album Parachutes for me. Some gems like Shiver, Sparks, Trouble, ENL/Life is for living. The album is the perfect length and flows really well too, maybe because it is so old now is why no one talks about it that much anymore! Overrated Album This is hard, but I would say Mylo Xyloto. Even though it has songs which I would consider classic Coldplay like HLH, ETIAW and Paradise, there are some real duds for me such as UFO, Up in Flames, DLIBYH and Major Minus. I don't think it works particularly well as an album/doesn't flow well - still I like it enough to listen to most of the songs on it, and the MX era had the best live shows and visual look.

Id like something a little like Reflektor by Arcade fire - quite funky and relies on the groove of a song to hold the listeners attention. Or anything experimental I would be happy with. No more electronic drums/clapping and woo oos from chris please haha
