It's not really the length I'm worried about. As long as the album is solid, wonderful, fresh, and...well...Coldplay, then I don't care how long it is! :D

I honestly don't think the song is that bad! Is it my favorite? Absolutely not. But, is it bad? No! Some songs are written to be thought provoking or tear jerking or love inducing. Some songs are stories where the singer is the narrator or the character. This just happens to be a song that was written for one thing....fun! I LOVE coldplay! (Of course! I'm on the fansite, aren't I?) and I love parachutes, and a lot of the B-sides (how you see the world, I ran away, etc.) and I appreciate their thought provoking music and their beautiful lyrics. But, sometimes, you just have to drop everything, let your hair down, and simply enjoy the music. Not for the words or the technicalities, but simply the music as a whole. That just happens to be what ETIAW is.

I am soooo excited about this song right now! You guys don't know how many times I read that part of the blog and thought about the first time I heard Fix You. I'M READY FOR THE ALBUM, NOW! :D

So, I'm just curious...compared to the theme/artwork on past albums, how does the LP5 theme/art we've seen so far measure up? I don't know why, but this is starting to seem like a revamped version of X&Y as far as the theme is concerned. (and that's not necessarily a bad thing.) Or maybe the whole thing with the space and the colors and the technology and graffiti is messing with me! Lol. What do you guys think?

Greetings to Coldplaying! It's really great to be joining the best fan base for the best band in the whole wide world!!!! I'm UBER excited to get more involved on this site! This is my first time posting a thread, so...sorry if I ramble! I think I would be technically classified as a new Coldplay fan...but I definitely don't consider myself one! I'm 18 years old, so when Coldplay came out with Yellow, I wasn't much older than 6 or 7, and I didn't even know that they existed until I saw the iTunes commercial that was advertising Viva. Ever since then, I've been completely hooked, and they've very quickly moved up my line of artists and musicians to my favorite band of all time! (I like them more than the Beatles and Bob Dylan combined!) I listen to their albums all the time, and now I can't imagine my life without them! As of now, I really can't choose a favorite album out of the main four...they all say something a little different to me, and I can relate to all of them in a separate but equal way. (If that makes any sense.) But, I'm curious to know what you guys think their best album is. My favorite band member is Chris...but I'm not a love-stricken fan girl! I just like the fact that he plays piano, and he (like all of the boys) seems like a very sincere and heartfelt kind of guy. I am the ONLY person in my family that likes Coldplay, and I'm constantly ridiculed for it because, apparently, black people aren't supposed to like Coldplay. I'm supposed to enjoy rap and hip hop and all of the other meaningless pop songs that they play on the radio. So, anyways, it's nice to have a place where I fit in! Lol. That's all I've got! Nice to meet you guys! Be sure to tell me what your favorite album is (and why!) ;)

MTM=INSTANT CLASSIC. It's like the old Coldplay we all know and love, yet they're still moving in a new direction, which is great! It reminds me a lot of Amsterdam with the way it starts, and then builds at the end. BRILLIANT! I LOVE IT! I just wish they would've released this BEFORE ETIAW.

Call me crazy, but I really do like this song! It takes me right back to the AROBTTH era of Coldplay. If anything, at least it's better than ETIAW. I rate the studio version 7, but live I'd give it an 8 or a 9. ;)
