  1. This is totally true. A concept album about love is basically every album ever written! (And despite this fact, I still love Mylo!) :P PS: I had no idea I had caps lock on until just now! Lol!
  2. Chris has repeatedly said in many different interviews that this is a concept album with a loose story. Now that we've all heard the album, what do you think the story is???? I'm horrible at finding stories within albums, so I'm just wondering what everybody else came up with...
  3. I just discovered this little gem of Coldplaying awesomeness, and I think that what you guys are doing is AMAZING! Just letting you know that I'd love to help sell more copies of Vol. 1, and I'd also love to help with Vol. 2 if you make one.... :D
  4. There may be a thread already out there somewhere about this, but I was just curious...do any of you super fans (like myself) ever have dreams about Coldplay? I've been having a lot of bizarre ones, especially leading up to this new album release. (Don't even get me started about my Viva dreams!) But, let's talk about your wildest, craziest, Coldplay dreams! In my most recent one, I went on a kayaking trip with Will and Chris, and for some reason, we ran into an alien named Mylo who was trying to get to a place called Xyloto! Lol!
  5. I think the only thing to say here is...BRING ON THE ELEPHANTS! :D
  6. When you're still posting on this thread that started almost 3 years ago...and you haven't become any less addicted! :D
  7. Paradise is just one of those songs that takes your breath away. I like it a lot, personally! It's pretty catchy! :)
  8. I'm ALWAYS psyched for the last song on a Coldplay album! They have consistently made the list of my favorites! :D
  9. No worries, mate! Also, I agree. I think we all had pretty high expectations. Who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us with a sudden stroke of brilliance on the rest of the album! :)
  10. In no way am I saying that Coldplay is perfect, because they most certainly are not. But, they are my favorite band, and I do like to try and see their side of things before I criticize them. I do agree that some of the earlier lyrics are better than the ones as of late, but that doesn't stop from liking the music from all of the eras respectively. I just appreciate them for different reasons, and, quite frankly, it's hard to appreciate this era for the lyrics. (Except for UATW, HLH, and CB!) ;)
  11. And I can completely understand that! But, I just don't think that the new singles are necessarily for us. They're made to be radio-friendly so that new people can discover coldplay. Think about it...half of the fans on this site wouldn't be fans if they hadn't heard yellow! Also, I'm going to agree that a lot of the earlier stuff is better than the more recent stuff lyrically. "We never change" is better than "lost!" But, that being said, I don't always like coldplay songs just for the lyrics. Sometimes, regardless of what chris is singing, the music just moves me. You can't say that despite the lyrics, you've never gotten lost in dancing to yellow, or 42 when the music swells...
  12. THIS TOO! I don't have to actually say anything when awesome fans like you say it for me! ;)
  13. I'm not going to go anywhere near saying that Paradise is my favorite song off of the new album. BUT, I will say that it sounded wonderful live! I liked the studio version, but hearing it live just confirmed the fact that it isn't such a crap song like some people think it is. It really soars, and it brings out more of the band as a whole. I'm excited for the rest of the album now! :D
  14. Paradise was AMAZING live! Just like I hoped it would be! :D Now...we wait for the album! October 24th seems really far away right......about.........NOW.
  15. Paradise sounded AWESOME live! What now, paradise haters? :P
  16. THIS IS SO TRUE^^ You can't judge a whole album by taking what may possibly be the two weakest songs on the album as your evidence, and saying that your favorite band has "lost what makes them special." Wait until the album comes out. If MX is released and all of the songs sound like "Paradise" then I'll see your point. Until then, just leave this chapter alone, and lets wait until we have the whole book to judge the art! ;)
  17. I'm personally not a Rihanna fan, BUT, I am a Coldplay fan. I thoroughly trust my favourite band with their new album, and if they want Rihanna, then I want her too! I'm sure it'll be splendid regardless! :)
  18. In my few years of being a Coldplay fan, I've learned that you simply can't compare the albums to each other. They were all written in different eras and in different frames of mind with regards to the band, so I've stopped doing that a long time ago. That being said, I really do like the new single! Yeah, it's different. Do I like it more than, say, Politik? No! But do I appreciate that my favorite band is moving in a new direction (yet again) and is still surprising me with new and beautiful music? Absolutely! I gave it an 8! :)
  19. Coldplay has been subtly hyping UFO a LOT for the past few months. It's even on the website, in the MX newspaper thing. I dunno about you guys, but I'm sure it's going to be an awesome song! Can't wait to hear the album!!!
  20. It sounds wonderful! Classy, cool, and maybe a bit on the edgy side...but I'm excited to hear the rest of the song! :D
