Oh and someone in this thread said they thought Chris was losing his hair. I really don't think he is going bald. His hairline might have receded a bit, which is normal for a guy his age, but I think it's the new haircut. In these old pics, his hair is brushed down or forward. MX hairdo seems to be brushing his hair up in front, which is not my favorite hairstyle for him.

I think it's silly to blame Gwyneth, and here is why.... 1. A while back on twitter, a Coldplay fan asked her what her favorite Coldplay songs were and her answer was "Death and All His Friends" and "Charlie Brown". IMO those are not pop. Most of the people complaining about Paradise still like Charlie Brown. 2. She didn't even get to hear the album until it was finished. If she actually had a say in the music they did, she wouldn't have been begging for a copy on twitter.

I have a completely random and nosey question. Do we know who the best man was when Gwyneth and Chris got married? I only ask because I ran across an Oracle answer that said Will was Jonny's best man at his wedding. I was really surprised at this because I always assumed Chris and Jonny were closer than all the rest. Maybe it just looks that way from the outside??

Go ahead and make fun of me if you like, but the first time I listened to it with my earphones, in the dark, in the middle of the night, I cried. The words mean a lot to me because of some things I have gone through in life. I was really touched and I really identified. I love the song. :)

Wait. Before you get upset, let's think about Chris Martin and songwriting. For any song he has written, he or the band will tell you that another song or artist inspired it. Numerous times in interviews he has named specific songs that they were listening to when they wrote something. I don't think there is anything wrong or stupid about this thread. Maybe other people who dislike Paradise are posting for more nefarious reasons, but personally I like the song, and I can see how some of these comparisons are being made.

I don't know what is better "Cry Me A River" the song or the video. Seriously, BEST idea for a video after you have been cheated on!

That is the song that inspired "Lost"! Just watched that in a yt interview with Guy and Will last night. Also I had to laugh at the JT reference with "Cry Me A River". I heard Chris say in an interview one time that Will or Jonny (can't remember which) was obsessed with that song and wanted to write something similar.

First I have to say I LOVE Paradise. Secondly, ya'll will think I'm nuts, but something about it reminds me of "Gangter's Paradise". LOL I think it's the beat and the synthesizer!

Here's my two cents on it's not very "them". If you expect Coldplay to sound one way, you are putting them in a box. This is obviously the music that was in their minds and hearts. You can't say it isn't "them". Maybe it's not "you" would be a better description.

I loved it! I can't believe people don't like it. Now, don't get me started on those BBC1 radio jerks. I've already posted my hatred of them three other places. That was just ridiculous. I'm sorry, but no one here would make rude comments about the song as they are debuting it.
