  1. Those Bieber fans mobilize pretty well I guess. We do too, but there's too many people and only 1 vote per IP counts every 15 minutes. If Justin's album didn't come out yesterday I could have had Kenny Hamilton tweet about it, which would have given us a huge advantage and psychological edge over girl #1. Bad timing :(
  2. Thanks to everyone for the votes and support thus far. Each click means a lot to us. As Brendon already stated, it's getting very close to the point of no return. The Bieber fan in the number one spot right now is gaining a massive number of clicks/day and it's becoming increasingly difficult for us to catch up and pass her. She's already passed the 1100 mark and Brendon and I are sitting in the number 2 position with a very large click number advantage over the next highest clicked page. I've had friends monitor everyone's page since Saturday and because of this, we are well aware of the odds every page has to win. It would seem obvious for me to come here and say "vote for us," but it really is starting to look like the only way ANY Coldplay fan will win this is if we come together. The Bieber fans are supporting one person, which is her advantage. We all love Coldplay here and everyone wants a chance to win this, which is understandable, but this segmentation is what is allowing her to win. Once again, I realize how convenient it is for me to say this, but I'm basing this on numbers. I've been a member here under various usernames since 2005 and routinely follow Coldplay on their tours. I've supported other Coldplayers in the past and given away many free tickets to the community, so it isn't 100% about ME wanting to win (although I do want to). It would be pretty bad if a girl who doesn't actually know anything about Coldplay won this. I had some friends look into her by the way, and she is a serial contest entrant that uses her large following to win anything. Once again, thank you to everyone here for voting for Brendon and I as well as everyone else. Hopefully someone from here will win this.
  3. That should work. You have to load the page every 15 minutes basically. Hitting refresh should work. Edit: I need to check with Brendon before I post lol. He's beaten me to it twice now.
  4. ~200, but the problem with #1 is her average daily clicks and rate of clicks. She gets a huge push every day and when she does, it is difficult to get close. We're hoping that with both of us going for it, we can bring in enough friends and support to get close, then use another strategy to pass her within the last day or two. Her support base is huge. Between all of the Beliebers (can't believe I actually said that) and other teen idols fans, she has people constantly clicking.
  5. Thanks Brendon! I was going for this contest as well and did pretty well without any public promotion, but the person in 1st place has a wide gap and some key advantages. After running numbers all weekend, it seems the only strategically smart move is to make a concerted effort to beat her. So Brandon and I teamed up. I've spoken to him several times over the past day and he is a seriously big Coldplay fan who hasn't had the chance to see them live yet. Any support from you guys would be highly appreciated. I know there have been a number of threads from different Coldplayers looking for support on this and any clicks you guys send to Brendon's link would be amazing. Hopefully this Coldplayer strategy will work out for the best. Did I mention the girl in first place runs a bunch of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fan sites? Nothing against the either of them, but if we send anyone to this concert, please make it a Coldplayer :D If we do win, be ready for tons of pics and videos and a full review to come.
  6. Nice review Dianne. Had a great time despite the constant pushing and blocking by a lot of people. Here's a video of Chris climbing the scaffolding. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIHDVTfeygk]Chris Martin climbing scaffolding - YouTube[/ame]
  7. Here are my pics: I didn't get the beginning of Georgia On My Mind. Thought he was going to do Winehouse so I didn't get my camera out. 8. Your welcome :) I've got some time to kill so I'll post my review for now. Pics and videos to follow later today. First off I have to thank AFeather for the ticket. I got to Atlanta around 11am and headed to the park. I had to pick up tickets from will call, which took forever as Coldplay was the last band to go on, so they were printing their guest list last. While waiting in line I met a guy who I later found out was the bass player for The Constellations. Turns out everyone had to wait a long time to get credentials, even the artists. The will call was next to the box office by the way. The whole event seemed unorganized, but I got my ticket and heeded for the gate. Once there I was told I couldn't take my backpack in (a backpack I had already received approval for the day before). However the 'nice' lady working the event told me about a secret side business nearby at the bicycle check in. They were also checking in bags for off-the-books 2 dollar donations. The hush-hush way they went about it made the event even more odd and unprofessional, but I didn't have a choice, so I did it. Once inside I spotted people with larger backpacks and dslr's with no press pass. Still wondering how one girl snuck in a 70-200mm lens. The only thing that made this event worthwhile was Coldplay. I was lucky enough to be among the first few rows near Jonny's side. The guys seemed to be very comfortable this time around. Guy was all smiles and I even caught him laughing at something he spotted in the crowd a few times. Chris also looked to be a little more loose than normal. He was making funny faces the entire night and looked to be interacting with individual people in the audience. They made a few mentions about how important Atlanta is to them. The switch outs from the regular setlist were definitely crowd pleasers. Overall I got the feeling that their confidence was really high. I haven't had any real sleep in a few days so I know there is a lot I'm missing, but once I go through pics and videos, I'm sure I'll be reminded of some more great moments. One thing I won't miss is how muddy I got there. It was like a mini Glastonbury as you got closet to the stage.
  9. I think I filmed that intro. Will check when I get back to Austin in a few hours. Took lots of pics as well.
  10. Amazing song. I didn't need to be won over on the album, but this song would have done the trick.
  11. I mean, how can the person who purchases them use them? As far as I know they are non-transferable. So the name who won would have to go in too, no? I hope someone doesn't buy it and end up not getting in.
  12. How are they selling them? Shouldn't there be a name attached to one of the two tickets? Hate that scalpers are getting into this.
  13. Ok thanks, wasn't aware they were announcing it today. Thought some friends were trying to pull a fast one on me. Looks like I got in.
  14. Thanks Maria, I guess I ended up pretty close to the front by the time they got to the stage. Hope you're doing well. I'm disappointed I didn't get to make it out to see them in Spain. Did you end up going?
  15. What an amazing show. Here are some of my pics and videos. Met a lot of great Coldplayers out there. I believe I was talking to Ultravioletlight25 throughout (I hope I got the username right). It was nice meeting you if you see this. 16. I'll be there as well. Can't wait to see them do another ACL performance. 2005 was a good year to be in Austin.
  17. That was an awesome story. Sounds like you guys had a great time.

  19. I nearly got that one, but someone clearly wanted it more than me. I stopped a bit short of the final price, thankfully. Not sure I want to pay 15k for the jacket, but we'll see what happens. If not, I'll look into getting the Abbey road tour and inviting some Coldplayers!
  20. Any guesses as to what it'll sell for? I may go for it.
  21. If darkest = best, then I agree, but overall it was a bad list.
  22. That's awesome! He does seem to like being low key, but after the many hours of traveling that day, he still stopped and took a picture with a fan. Seems really nice to me.
