^ True, but if you think about how many songs the guys wrote for this era (and others) then there's always going to be a ton of songs that will never see the light of day. :P

And didn't the guys say that they would never release a Greatest Hits because they didn't want to make their fans pay for their songs twice? :thinking: . . . besides the fact that it would be really hard to narrow all of Coldplay's hits down to 10 or so songs.

THIS. :D Remember guys, we may not even get an EP at all--the guys might decide to scrap them / give them to another artist / include them on a later album / release a small percentage of the songs as b-sides. Sorry, not trying to be cynical, but I wouldn't get your hopes up! :)

THIS. I mean, if anything they could have swapped out PoC with . . . with Bloodless Revolution, even! It fits the album context in a Viva-ish way, and it's a thousand times better than PoC.

:nod: If MX really was their last album (highly doubtful), there's no way they would still be writing / recording songs. They would have all of their b-side / EP material already lined up.

Well, I don't know if it's Guy playing that crunch at :40, but his bass is awesome in general in this song--better than his bass line in Violet Hill. :charming:
