So..... That worked out better than expected :joy: Double album!!!

Loving the snippet! What a lovely way to wake up on a Saturday morning. I am still confused as to how the Arabic and sun/moon dynamic fits in :joy: Maybe this era is going to play out like an old black-and-white movie? Something like "A Trip to the Moon"?

:o I am really beginning to wonder why no posters have popped up in North America yet. Is this just evidence that I'm a self-absorbed American? :joy:

Does anyone remember if the Coldplay website put a favicon (little symbol in the tab next to the website name) up when the website first changed to the sun/moon symbol? Because unless it's just my browser messing up, there isn't one there now.

Hmmm, that's very interesting. Not sure about the vocals at the beginning of that, but the instrumentals sound exactly like what I would expect from a song that melds Eastern + Western influences. What's that app called where you can play a snippet of a song and it will give you the title/artist? Anyone able to play the audio and see if it exists anywhere?

I'm not holding my breath for a release tomorrow (it's still Thursday evening here) if Adele is dropping her single. Coldplay is huge, but Adele is probably one of a handful of artists that could outcompete them. I doubt their record label would want that. Hopefully I'm wrong though! I bet we see some more posters pop up tomorrow along with a teaser that has to do with the first single. Something similar to the AHFOD intro snippet or the running man from the MX era. And then maybe first single next Friday?

I came home from work and saw this thread had 10+ new pages and thought for sure a single had dropped :joy: We've got two really weird parallel themes going on right now, and I'm not sure what to make of it. On one hand we have this sun/moon dynamic and on the other we have this old-timey, post-WWI poster that supposedly was put up too early? And the thing that ties them together is that a solar eclipse happened on the date shown in the poster? It's all very weird. I wonder how many more clues are going to pop up in the next 48 hours. Like, was the November 22, 1919, date supposed to be the thing that tied everything together and led us to put together the pieces to find to the solar eclipse theme? Is "solar eclipse" the big reveal? Or are there going to be more teasers that lead to something else? The idea of a "time travel" theme that some others have posted would be super interesting, but I don't think we have enough concrete evidence to support that direction yet . . . This is my favorite time of album releases! So much speculation and possibility!

As someone who is also part of the SSBU fandom... I had made that connection as well :laughing: People are bored and will do anything to get others riled up. At the very least, if the leaker is claiming they are going to start teasing things this week then our waiting is almost over. Either they are telling the truth and a new album is coming much sooner than we all thought, or they are lying and we are still probably getting an album at some point in the next year or so. After a hiatus this long, I'll take either one!

So does Fool's Gold = A Fool's Errand? Or are Coldplay about to break with their tradition of naming an album after one of its tracks? Ah, speculation. My favorite part of the album release cycle! EDIT: Looks like Reddit dug up some more photos

Happy New Year to all my lovely Coldplayers! I just watched the AHFOD documentary and I'm all full of love and nostalgia :D I'm thinking I need to put another Coldplay-related item on my bucket list: visit The Bakery!

Late to the party on this one as I just got TBP for Christmas . . . man what an amazing film. It made me fall in love with the band and the guys all over again. As my music tastes have expanded, through the years I've found myself listening to Coldplay less and less just because there are so many other bands out there that I like now as well. But this film reminded me why they have always been my favorite band and why they always will be <3

Aaahhh that was such a good trailer Other than Kaleidoscope, it's been a bit since I've truly been hyped for anything Coldplay related . . . man it feels good!! And the film release will be a great early birthday present as well :D

Cool little snippet the guys did for Radio 1 :) I would love if they included some sort of exclusive one-off like they did with Moses on Live 2003. Probably not best to get my hopes up though lol

D: jk, I don't even remember what all is on the B&S EP :laughing: But both versions of the song Brothers and Sisters are phenomenal! Love that experimental prog-rockish vibe with the distorted guitars and stuff

That's what I'm thinking as well. They're working to see what "meshes" well. At least the Clocks mix will be easy to figure out (if that song is included). It sounds exactly the same at every show *wink wink*
