[2016-03-16] Chris Martin on The Howard Stern Show
Yes I thought the same! So many similarities and such an underrated song...

[2016-03-16] Chris Martin on The Howard Stern Show
Back in 2011 I found Howard Stern a bit rude and annoying, but now I actually get it. He is actually quite a good interviewer in my opinion, yes he pushed Chris a bit (but not too much), but in this way he finally gives some real answers. Most other interviews are like the interviewer asking Chris something, Chris makes a joke or talks around it, and then they both laugh and they move to the next question. And the question remains sort of unaswered in the end. But this guy actually really gets things out of him. Oh btw, did you notice Chris saying that they will be in Europe again in the summer of 2017 :D

AHFOD Tour Supporting Acts-Who Do You Want to See Tour With Coldplay?
It's taking quite long, isn't it about time now they announce the support acts for the South-American tour? It's just 2 weeks from starting now...

[2016-03-15] Coldplay on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Yeah they have had so many opportunities to promote it and make it a huge hit (*hint* Superbowl *hint*). But sometimes I feel like they don't even like the song themselves... [emoji23] Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk

A bit strange that they didn't play Hymn, but I'm totally fine with that though Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I just came across this video: And for the first time, maybe ever, I was really struck by the beautiful symphonies of Yellow. Especially when the Bass kicks in and Will sings so beautiful in the background . This is why I love Coldplay so much, and they are the only band/musicians who can ever bring up these feelings for me. I just had to write this down somewhere and found this thread to be te most appropriate. Thank You Coldplay for these beautiful melodies and symphonies you guys have created.

[2016-03-14] Coldplay live at the Today Show
After all the discussion about Chris' vocals, today he seemed to do really fine. His vocals were totally on point! (Even on Hymn)

They better wait a bit longer, I can't spare any more money on (Coldplay) concerts haha

AHFOD Tour Supporting Acts-Who Do You Want to See Tour With Coldplay?
Agreed, but I didn't say Tove Lo is bad, I saw her live once and it was quite nice :) But if it were up to me I would just choose something different. Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk

AHFOD Tour Supporting Acts-Who Do You Want to See Tour With Coldplay?
Well they are ''the biggest band'' in The Netherlands, but do not have much fame outside the Netherlands (with the exception of Flanders) so they definitely aren't too big, but in the end I don't think Coldplay would go for a Dutch band for that matter ... ;) And back to support acts: I remember that I wasn't too fond of all the support acts on the Mylo tour (Charli XCX/Marina And The Diamonds). Too poppy for me, so I hope they're going to invite some real upcoming bands (Kodaline for example). But given their current musical direction, I wouldn't be surprised if they invite acts like Tove Lo. If I could choose: Noel Gallagher (a dream right?), Kodaline, Seafret, Bastille, Nothing But Thieves (already supporting Muse so not happening haha)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Agreed! Of course AHFOD isn't the best CP has ever done, but I feel like it deserves a bit more love. Can't we just spread the love around here?

Hymn for the Weekend - video
It's really awesome haha, it all started when my little brother was just 5 years old. He saw this video clip with a robot (you know what I'm talking about right ;) ) and he loved it! But then Coldplay got lost out of our sight until I heard VLV on the radio every day in 2008. And that's when the magic happened and our whole house became a CP headquarter haha. Random Coldplay thoughts...
Random thing: I was talking to my roommates the other day. And since our 'home' doesn't have a very good 'noise' isolation, they told me that they always know when I'm home. As soon as they hear Coldplay coming from my side of the house they know I'm back . And luckily they don't mind, they always call it ''good music'' haha

Hymn for the Weekend - video
He has, I'm his 'big' brother haha, and our dad has an account on here too but isn't that into social media. He does go to all the concerts with us :dance: .... back to topic now... haha

How early in line?
The first CP show I attended I got in line around 2 and I got in front, right before Jonny, although I need to say this was in 2011, in quite a small venue (compared to their current standards). The last show (Mylo Tour) was a lot bigger and I got in line around 3, still got a really good spot in front of the X-Stage this time. So I would say if you are in line around 3, 4 at the latest you can still manage to get a good spot in front ;) And btw, one thing I noticed on the MX tour, the stage was fairly high so I think that standing a bit further from the front gives you even a better view :)

[2016-02-24] Coldplay Nominated for Best British Album & Group @ BRIT Awards
Have you heard this then? I don't think its a valid argument if you say his singing is not well here. Although I do agree on the point that Chris' voice in general has had better days. But I think it's mostly to do with the songs he writes and not necessarily his singing abilities/having a cold. Songs like The Scientist, Everglow, Charlie Brown, AHFOD are more easy for him to sing than songs like HFTW, AOAL, Up&Up and ASFOS. Chris should keep in mind that he hasn't got the voice of Beyoncé and adjust (by writing songs he can actually sing good live) a bit to it I guess.

I feel Fun comes very close to that. It has a lot of elements of Lukas and the other 'Fun'. Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk

[2016-02-24] Coldplay Nominated for Best British Album & Group @ BRIT Awards
This live version was so cool! Guy and Jonny playing the drums and Chris (mostly) on the piano! Also makes it look more live (even though there's still a lot pre-recorded). Hope they will keep doing this in the tour! + Will singing the Beyoncé parts... nice :D

[2016-2-17] Coldplay to Recieve NME's Godlike Genius Award at NME Awards
I'm actually really proud they showed the whole room (and acts like BMTH in particular) why they are one of the best and most succesful bands of the past 15 years and why bands like *cough* BMTH *cough* will never achieve this ;)
