  1. Amen. A true Coldplay masterpiece. It has such a distinct sound which only Coldplay can create. It feels like Viva meets MX meets something entirely new. Its so powerful and soothing the same time. Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk
  2. Short summary on my opinion of AHFOD: When I first listened to the album as a whole, I wasn't convinced, it didn't flow well, the production is too much. But afer 2-3 listens I'm starting to appreciate is more and more, and I even think this album is becoming pretty good in terms of doing things different, and not being as mainstream as GS/MX. You definitely hear so many different influences and I love this. It's like everything they've ever done put together in these songs + new/experimental things: which I really like now. Track opinions: AHFOD: Good opener, U2ish but still a lot of CP elements. Festive, happy, and I especially love the parts from 2:30 and further, goosebumps and makes me want to jump, I can't wait to experience it live! 8/10 Birds: Amazing! One of the best songs in years really, it's like Viva meets MX meets something entirely new. Absolutely love it, althoug I do not like the sudden ending, whish it was a bit longer. 9/10 HFTW: wasn't sure in the beginning, so many different sounds, sounds very Beyonce/Mainstream at first listen, gets better when you listen to more layers. Jonny's guitar makes up for a lot on this one. The lyrics, well, nothing special. I guess they needed a hit on this album to For me it's a bit PoC part 2 but maybe slightly better. 6/10 Everglow: what a beauty, again I love how each instrument shines, especially Jonny. Beautiful, mellow ballad. It can't be compared with The Scientist but it's actually a nice try and fits very well in the album. I do wish the drums were acoustic though. 7,5/10 AOAL: Fun, colourful, dancy, funky, good live one! 7/10 Fun: I was afraid that this one was going tooo poppy, but I actually was suprised it isn't. It sounds alternative, their voices melt very good together. I love how you can hear elements of the song 'Fun' and 'Lukas' which were given to Natalie Imbruglia. Good, solid song. 7,5/10 Army Of One: Nice, reminds me a bit of a The Script song. Not very experimental or new, but it's overall a nice song. 7/10 X-Marks The Spot: well at first I was like: WTF? Can we forget this ever happened, now I'm a bit less WTF but still I'm not sure what to think of it, it sounds so childish, like a very mainstream tried song, these lyrics just mehh. 4/10 Amazing Day: Beautiful, but I like the live version better, mostly because of the annoying electronic drums in the studio version. 7/10 Up&Up: A bit dissappointed by the studio version, live it flows better, drums are better, the guitars are clearer. Up&Up is my second favorite album closer with DAAHF. Really amazing song, instant classic, thank you Noel.I love the choir voices. Only wish the studio version was a bit clearer. 9/10 Overall verdict: 7,2/10 for me. Good album. Highlights: AHFOD, Birds , Fun, Up&Up Jonny really shines on this album, Guy as well. Will needs to play the real drums live Chris' voice can surprise me sometimes, it sounds so beautiful in some parts, gives me goosebumps every time Dislikes: too much production at some times, X-Marks The Spot, HFTW not sure about this one Album position: Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends A Rush Of Blood To The Head A Head Full Of Dreams Mylo Xyloto Ghost Sories X&Y Parachutes
  3. Maybe one of the best things they've ever done

  6. Standing on the 24th, G as well! :D Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk
  7. Yes I finally got 3 standing tickets! To all those Coldplayers still in line goooood luckk don't ever give up!
  8. Yeah, its so unfair, and I just can't believe that the band would agree on something like this... :( They always say they have the best fans in the world, but only the 'rich' ones get extra privileges.... Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk
  9. I'm going to university tomorrow just to be able to use a computer there :p , my laptop has the habit of crashing on moments I don't want it to crash so I can't risk doing it at home haha. May the Coldplay odds be ever in our favour!
  10. I'm trying not to listen to it until the album drops... I'm liking the lyrics so far!
  11. Damn, I'm already stressing for tomorrow, I have two back ups but I'm still freaking out. Hasn't happened since the ticket sale for Coldplay at the E-WERK in Cologne in 2014... :O
  12. I have the same feeling! AOAL and probably Hymn For The Weekend seem very mainstream/poppy, whereas all the rest sounds really interesting. It's not Rock, or Alt Rock anymore but it its still sounding 'Alternative' and very different than everything they've ever done before soundwise.
  13. I think they will come to the Netherlands twice, they did that every time. With the MX tour Ahoy Rotterdam in 2011 and Malieveld The Hague in 2012. So I'm hoping they will come to the Ziggo Dome (probably 2 shows then) in the end of 2016 or spring 2017. PS, has anybody already been able to buy tickets through the AMEX pre sale? If so, do you know if the Standing Tickets also have this ridiculous option of gaining acces to the front rows if you buy the more expensive tickets like in Germany?
  14. ---Intro--- A Head Full Of Dreams Clocks Yellow Everglow Violet Hill Strawberry Swing Paradise B-Stage Magic (with longer intro) Sparks acoustic Birds Hymn For The Weekend Ink/True Love The Scientist Amazing Day Adventure Of A Lifetime Kaleidoscope (Instrumental) Army Of One Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall Fix You Encore O (Fly On) Encore 1 A Sky Full Of Stars Fun Up&Up I think the setlist for the first leg of the tour will be something like this. I'm trying to stay realistic otherwise I would end up having all Coldplay songs on the setlist haha.
  15. Can anyone help me out? I'm a bit confused. According to the website, the edition Q354 which features Coldplay (January edition!?) is out today. But I went in searching in stores and all of them only sell the December Q353 edition. So when can I expect the January edition (near the end of December?)? And if I buy it online, will I receive it before that time?

Wow just wow, amazing. Masterpiece. Can't describe it. Trying not to listen too much until the album comes out. Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk
  17. I need to buy this magazine, they look so good on these pictures :D Wish they would dress this way as well when performing live. Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk
  18. They should open with this : [video=youtube;NwWurWdDEGY] Well, one can dream ;)
  19. None of these setlists are 'official' its all been added by fans who attended the concert. So it's a well educated guess, given the references to birds.
  20. Well not really sound like, but I guess it has somewhat the same power and the feel to it... (Not that I've ever really listened to 'Let it go' haha)
  21. On Coldplayzone.it someone apparently heard them soundchecking Everglow and Up&Up. Don't know why it hasn't been reported by Coldplaying though.
  22. Maybe this is indeed a part of 'Everglow' since I heard somewhere that the ''chorus of the ballad Everglow reminded us a bit of Disney's 'Let it go' '' . And after listening to these lyrics in the context of UATW I do think it has the somewhat the same feel to it.
