  1. btw, i sent u something about tea at ur hotmail acct. :)
  2. oh i dunno 'bout that...i don't own the movie or its soundtrack, and i saw that movie long time ago... and well...i am not THAT old to identify with Annette Bening etc. either...LMAO :P but for me, the quality of acting counts, as does the setting. the movie sets for that movie are quite elaborate too. anyways, i'm off to lunch, then a branch meeting. talk to u laters!
  3. i read a LOT of newspapers :stunned:
  4. oh their on-screen chemistry is yummy and tantalizing! :D
  5. really? hmmm yeah...he was a one-hit wonder, i guess...but i have his extended version and the regular version on a burnt CD :smug: it was a total hit the year i came to u.s. and so it's very much something close to my heart as i heard it a lot on radio that year! :D twix, that emoticon u got is superb man!
  6. ahhh got it...this version is the one i like the most! :-) though it too didn't win any awards nor much critical acclaim...but i feel it's close to the original novel... "Valmont" starring Colin Firth, in 1998 Colin Firth and Annette Bening, on the other hand, are lively, attractive, sexual, likeable rogues. They may indulge in power games, but it is apparent that they enjoy their encounters. I especially liked Firth in the title role as a Valmont whose company would be great fun at any occasion, and whose seductiveness owes at least as much to his innate charm as to his conniving. Old ladies and children like him as much as his lovers, while Malkovich carried a dour, superior presence which could spook children and animals. Both fine performances, but Firth's Valmont is a guy you'd have a drink with. If Malkovich bought you a drink, you'd switch glasses on him. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0098575/ check it out someday :D
  7. The Cranberries -- Dreams Haddaway -- What is love?
  8. yeah...its a review to Cruel Intentions. now that i think back, after reading the review, i too kinda enjoyed some parts of it
  9. btw, yep...i was right...it IS based on the novel Danderous Liaisons (by a French author, written in French originally), and I have seen the movie of the same name too...which won the Oscars! lol and in fact, there is another adaptation of that same novel, i forget the movie name though...i kinda liked that movie too. :D any case, here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004D0EP/ref=pd_ecs_d_h__m_h__a/202-4552101-8690265

  15. hello there! *posts on this thread* :D
  16. yeah, wasn't it based on an old classic novel? I didn't say it wasn't great...it was alright. but in the teenage genre of movies, it wasn't a runaway success...i don't know if it even hit it big at the box office. may be... music...i don't know how it goes, so can't really comment on it, but since u like it, i'm sure it's nice :nice:
  17. ah...see, so it was better that i didn't register at the old one! :wink3: :D

  21. well i saw this movie some time back...a few years i'd say. it wasn't that great. i mean, it was okay...middle-of-the-road kinda thing. i guess ya'll liked it 'cuz of the young 'hot' hunks of stars! :P reese witherspoon and that Buffy actress aren't too shabby looking either! :D
  22. well, i thought of it as fun too...but you can't do all that stuff while you're at work...and given that i'm on this board soooo much as it is...i don't wanna be spending time doing pictures when i could be actually talking with all you wonderful people :-) :smug:
