Well, that part with the made up language, that kind of implies that the band created a whole new language for the album. This still isn't the case. So she wasn't lying for that. She never "lies" but she can't say things like "the album has been named!" and then not tell you. Yeah, she's a marketing tool. A marketing tool, not your best friend. She answers questions (albeit very to-the-point-ly) and she helps us out in putting the pieces together. If you don't like her, don't read her. Problem solved! Plus, doesn't she have an account on here? :uhoh:

My response when I heard it was a universal sigh. But seriously. It's alright. Just very bland compared to IR. But I'm a weird Radiohead fan. I think Hail to the Thief is the best Radiohead album by miles.

It's a dichotomy :laugh3: that was the point. I bet the live shows are gonna be great. I saw them atLolla and arguably the best, highest-energy ones were the new tracks.

It'll be like nothing we've heard before. Mylo Xyloto is going to be a beautiful trainwreck. I'm really excited.

I don't think Paradise is so bad. There's just so much girth to the song, and we don't yet know how it fits into the whole scheme that is Mylo Xyloto. The song is good, but I think the instrumentation says so much more than those lyrics do. Perhaps they know that the lyrics are cheesy. But the lyrics are one layer of many, many musical layers (a Coldplay onion!) that create a bold atmosphere; the whole of which is required to really grasp the story of what the song is trying to say. Though I do like Moving to Mars better, Paradise isn't half bad. Thanks for the read! I was a little wary of returning to the site after seeing so much shallow back-and-forthing.

It's a lot better listening to it on my nice, bassy Bose headphones versus laptop speakers. MILES better.

I hate when people compare Radiohead and Coldplay. They're two completely different acts with very different creative endeavors. It's like saying: "Bjork's new album sucks ass compared to Tupac's 'Thug Life: Volume 1. SOoooooo poppy, and commercial.'"

The way I see it is complaining incessantly over something you can't change is futile. There's nothing anyone can do about it, and you make the choice to listen to the music. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. A simple solution. It's not worth arguing incessantly with internet strangers from around the world. Someone literally blamed Gwyneth Paltrow for the music in another thread. That kind of crap is annoying. Be constructive, calm, and showcase your maturity when you're critiquing this new work. It makes everyone's experience a lot better when you not only give feedback, but give your response substance, too. Hating the song isn't bad, it's just bad when you get offensive and immature about it. It's not like you have to listen to it every day. Relax everyone.

I'm quitting this forum until the dust settles. It's getting really annoying.
