  1. Awww thanks! I'm not lame after all!
  2. I don't think I actually introduced myself in the first place. I'm Brent. I'm a college student majoring in chemistry and biology: Though secretly I want to be an author. I like to eat. I'm almost fluent in French. Wow, I just realized I'm really boring :(

For sure. I love traveling. Do you keep a journal?
  4. A penguin. I love penguins. Followed closely by the noble giraffe. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? :)
  5. Fartknocker :blank:
  6. I have to write a paper tonight. Crap.
  7. 3:40pm At work...doing nothing, as usual.
  8. That's the spirit! :awesome: For me it's 1:50am, so I'm staying up then sleeping. It'll be totally worth it.
  9. Yeah, the Oracle already confirmed it's an acronym for something. She also said there was "one guess" floating around. I'm assuming she's referring to "Don't Let it Break Your Heart." She neither confirmed nor denied it.
  10. Amazon always catalogs stuff really strangely. I wouldn't look too much into it.
  11. I really like "Low," but the other two I'd agree with. Gravity is also great! Again, X&Y is really the only album where anything could have been left out. I can't picture any other Coldplay album with any different tracklisting. Ever. They're basically perfect!
  12. That's the only thing I really dislike about Coldplay. Their damn butterflies. WTF?
  13. :stunned: Anyway, I don't think it has anything to do with 9/11. Although, wasn't there a rumor that it would come out a day early on another thread? If that happened, I feel like that might be a little weird. Just because it's a day for remembrance, etc. Not a new song called "Paradise". I'd rather wait until Monday. I don't think it would be offensive to anyone, really, but I don't see it being a great idea.
  14. I guess we all have our opinions! But we all know that Coldplay kicks ass. "Yes" is one of my favorite Coldplay songs. It's just so bold. And "Fix You" obviously is spectacular. But I agree about X&Y as a whole: It is quite messy. That's why I'm hoping for a shorter, textured album similar to Viva this time around.
  15. Except people bet on those and it's actually competitive. This is just pointless after a while. It's cool if you put one up, but it's annoying when the same person puts up like a million track listings every day. That's what I'm saying.
  16. I think X&Y has some good tracks. It just is, like you said, messy. Fix you is AWESOME. Talk is good. I like White Shadows (especially the last minute or so when it's all atmospheric and ambient). Swallowed in the Sea is alright. Low is really good. Kingdom Come is a classic. But the problem with X&Y is that we have to do just that: Pick it apart. With the other albums (Viva is the best example), we don't have to skip around to find the best songs. It just works, listening all the way through. Same with Rush of Blood, same with Parachutes. X&Y is just a difficult listen because, unlike fans of or many other acts like Lady Gaga (who is talented but puts out really, REALLY long, messy albums), Coldplay fans are spoiled (and better :smug:)and expect something clean, organized and cohesive. Coldplay is a band that sells albums, not singles. X&Y did NOT fit into that philosophy.
  17. I can't wait until it actually is announced so we don't have to make these dumb fake tracklists anymore.
