  1. Hi everyone, I hope I'm posting this in the proper place. I reviewed MX back when it came out so I decided to stick with tradition and review GS. Give a watch and tell me your guys' thoughts! [video=youtube;mIHWzde0DgM]
  2. I honestly think that this is some of their best work (next to O) in a while. As a bonus track, it didn't have to be "safe" or radio ready. Parachutes-esque guitar in the chorus, and some of their darkest lyrics, I think.
  3. Good: Fantastic harmonies and melodies. Plenty of solid songs. Bad: Weak lyrics in more places then they should be.
  4. A tie between the first/second line of the album and the last line. "Written in graffiti on a bridge in a park: Do you ever get the feeling that you're missing the mark?" or "Written up in marker on a factory sign: I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine." "But I know one thing....Good things are coming our way."
  5. Solid 9. Not perfect, but amazing regardless. "But I know one thing, good things are coming our way."
  6. Disappointment: Hurts Like Heaven being mixed weird, doesn't sound as deep as live versions. Surprise: U.F.O, DLIBYH and Up With the Birds. Phenomenal songs.
  7. My favorites, not what I think are the best. 1. Parachutes 2. AROBTTH - MX 3. VLV 4. X&Y
  8. It's like Glass of Water if it was written between the X&Y and Viva era.
  9. Not bad. 2nd listen now. A solid 7 at least. Rihanna sings a little too much for my tastes though. It's like 50/50 sing time for each of them.
  10. Wasn't a fan on my first listen. But I've grown to like it. Nice chords, especially at the end.
  11. Taken from the YouTube Video. Extra text edited out. Full Image: http://i.imgur.com/J1pgN.jpg
  12. I feel like as a single, this is weak. But place it in the context of all of the other songs, and it makes me excited to hear the whole thing. It's like taking a single chapter out of a book and trying to enjoy it. Granted, I loved Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown the first time I heard them. But I think that when you take the out of place puzzle piece that is Paradise and put it into the big picture that will be Mylo Xyloto, we'll have nice little collection of tunes.
  13. Not diggin' it. Except for the verse melody, too bland. Might grow on me slightly like ETIAW did, but like ETIAW, I'll be skipping this one when it pops up on my iPod in order to dive straight into Charlie Brown.
  14. MX/HLH CB Maybe PoC Probably ETIAW UAtW, I have no idea. And why do people think that Major Minus will make it? It's just a B-Side to ETIAW.
  15. Doesn't Will have a son named Rex?
  16. 7/10. It feels like it has just sort of become the B-Side it is. Fantastic, regardless.
  17. This is honestly the only thing that has ever come to my mind. That's how much imagination I have.
  18. Upboats plz.
  19. At least my Mom says I'm cool!
  20. What about this patch I've seen on Jonny and Chris? There's an M in the symbol, and what looks like 3 words, some of which look like they start with M. Thoughts?
  21. Do Little Indians Brush Your Hair?
  22. I'm disappointed with the amount of complainers here. All of the other new songs they've played live are amazing and in their simple alt rock style w/some cool experimentation mixed in. But you guys hear 1 upbeat song w/lyrics you're not even thinking to analyze the meaning of, and start comparing their earlier stuff to it. A. If you have heard their new songs, these jabs are meaningless. B. At least attempt to understand the song before you tear it apart.
