  1. Damn I was about to post this. You're kinda fast. Whoever wrote this article deserves a trophy.
  2. Surprise Surprise, I totally never seen so much hate towards Coldplay before
  3. Well deserved. I've always considered Clocks to be their best song ever.
  4. "Just to let you know, it will be a long time before any details of new material are reported here. I have no idea as yet what the future holds." People say patience is a virtue, but f**k it. Waiting so long for coldplay albums is like torture.
  5. Now that the LA tour is cancelled and there's little chance the guys will release an EP, It's sad to say this era is quite over. I made this thread to discuss what were your Top 5 MX era songs Mine: 1) Major Minus 2) Don't Let it Break Your Heart 3) MX/Hurts Like Heaven 4) Moving To Mars 5) Paradise
  6. :( at the same time it's sad, but also let's think positively. Maybe they are working on new album, and maybe Coldplay is going to come first in Latin America when they do the next concerts.
  7. :o Is it really that bad? I think Hurts Like Heaven is one of their best material. It's just my opinion of course.
  8. Very Unlikely. I think they are more closer to make their most electronic album than going back to their Parachutes roots.
  9. I was watching tv show "Otro Rollo" and heard clocks this is the video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssS5yTavclw]Coldplay - Clocks [En Otro Rollo] - YouTube[/ame]
  10. The middle part of 42 is one of the heaviest
  11. 1) Amazing Intro with Fireworks 2) Clocks (the Viva La Vida tour version) right after the fireworks 3) Chris Martin salutes the audience and Politiks starts suddenly 4) In My Place 5) Lost! 6) Major Minus 7) The Scientist 8) Paradise (This song has the butterflies now lol) 9) 42 10) Yellow (A Rush Of Blood tour version) 11) Violet Hill 12) Charlie Brown 13) (Right After CB piano outro) Daylight (Improved version) Acoustic 14) Strawberry Swing 15) Shiver 16) A Message Encore 17) M.M.I.X/ETIAW 18) Fix You 19) MX intro/Viva La Vida 20) Twisted Logic (improved ending and Fireworks)
  12. I made a thread to discuss, but it's getting tensional. I'm sorry I didn't meant to cause all this, and I want to close it now. If only moderators can close threads, here's the link: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96246
  13. I care. That's why I made the thread, and I want to hear their stories.
  14. I really don't know how to explain myself. Let's forget about the term "fan". It's fine if people know songs like Pardise or VLV and they enjoy it, but what I'm looking for is people who got really interested. Like actually digging their stuff and learning all their songs; Buying their albums; Making an account in Coldplaying. That's what I meant.
  15. So there's not any shows of coldplay announced (That we know of). I think this is it. The time of waiting for another album/era has begun. :bigcry:
  16. A tough choice, but I say Hurts Like Heaven. I like that song. I think is one of their best. 1) Hurts Like Heaven 2) Major Minus 3) Don't Let It Break Your Heart
  17. Well I made this thread to discuss anything you want about music critics. Which ones you like, which ones you hate. Since I got into music as a teen, I used to get happy when I read good reviews of albums that I liked or get offended of reviews bashing artists that I liked. Now, I just don't care anymore, really. I don't know why I used to take their opinion so seriously (Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NME, Q, etc.) So what's your opinion about music critics. Do you follow them. If yes, which one/s? I read Pitchfork a lot just to discover new music. That's it.
  18. :rolleyes5: I felt dyslexic for a moment. Yeah of course change in style affects a band's fanbase. I remember the forum when ETIAW came out, it was a crazy discussion for coldplayers.
  19. Round 1. Don't Panic Round 2. Shiver Round 3. Major Minus Round 4. Sparks Round 5. Yellow Round 6. Trouble Round 7. Parachutes Round 8. Major Minus Round 9. We Never Change Round 10. A Hopefull Transmission/Don't Let It Break Your Heart Round 11. Up With The Birds Final Result: Parachutes 7 - 4 MX
  20. Round 1: Politik Round 2: Paradise Round 3: God Put A Smile Round 4: The Scientist Round 5: Clocks Round 6: Major Minus Round 7: Green Eyes Round 8: Warning Sign Round 9: A Whisper Round 10: A Hopeful Transmission/Don't Let It Break Your Heart Round 11: Amsterdam Final result: AROBTTH 8 - 3 MX
  21. Hahaha that's great. These are the kind of replies that I was expecting. I hope there's more people like you who became a fan. I do think there are fans and "fake" fans. We have to be strict and look at the defintion of the term "fan", which is a person who becomes obssesed and is greatly devoted to something. I'm not trying to sound elitist or believe I'm better than someone by being a true fan of something, but I think some people misuse the term, or they aren't aware of its real meaning (those people who misuse the term are the "FAKE" fans). Anyhow, we should not judge a person if they are a truer fan or not (that's another subject). For example: I like the beatles, I have some of their CDs but I don't fall in the definition of a fan. Same goes for other bands I like to which whom I don't consider myself a fan. I just like some of their music. Another example: There's only three songs I like by The Flaming Lips. Does that mean I'm a fan of them? I doubt it.
  22. I don't know what you mean by breaking any ground(sorry I don't know a lot of expressions in English). Do you mean as in producing something new and unique like creating a new sound in music? Cause if that's what you mean then I don't think Coldplay has broken any ground at all. Their music has been influenced by other artists. And that's the same for the MAJORITY of artists, so I don't think it matters.
  23. Yeah 49 million is huge, but that's expected. I meant like a band. I just checked and Linkin Park is the most followed band on FB, but Coldplay is the most followed band on twitter. Those numbers are great for a band nowdays when pop/club acts dominate the music industy.
  24. 9 million and 24 million? :o someone should check if they are the most followed band on FB and Twitter (I think they are).
